      Water Temp: 58 - 60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A lot o ishing, but no catching.I was hoping on catching some bass in the prespawn stage, but due to the water temp still low, the ish weren't coming out to play. I hit major points and drops o to get only a couple o hits using the Castaic Swimbait (6 inch Rainbow trout colored). Throw spinnerbaits, cranks and crawled plastic's with no luck. Did notice that some balls o shad were suspended at 30 eet and some markings underneath that. But they were not bitting or me.
      City: Santa Maria

Tips: Going to let the water warm up a little bit more, beore going back.

      Water Temp: 54-57

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: The ishing was pretty horrible the water was muddy but starting to warm up. I caught one bass who looked like he was preparing a nest because he had a red coloration on his lower ins. I also lost one, both ish were caught on chartruse senko's w/a 1/4 bullet sinker in less than 2 eet o water. I could not locate any staging bass. Fished rom 7:30 til 3:00, I talked to 2 other boaters and they didn't get anything. Good luck

Report: Fished in greasy cove today rom 2:30 to 4:30 and caught 3 ish in the 2 to 2.5 lbs. range. Like posted earlier it was strange to see the ish chasing shad this early. All ish were caught on a pearl/blue slug-go.
      City: Visalia

Tips: Water was much warmer in greasy cove and the ish were active. Remember catch and release!!!

      Water Temp: 50 to 64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: went up today with my partner. it was real slow, we ound a lot o ish just hard to get them to hit. i had about 7 or 8 hits only stuck one. i guess i am rusty. my partner got some hits as well but got skunked. it was kind o a strange day cause we started out on the main point and the water was about 50 to 53 degrees. we went into greasy cove and the water there was in the mid 60's. that isnt the weird part, the ish were chasing shad and going nuts back there so i threw a zara spook and right when it hit the water a huge ish jumped right next to it. not a hal a second later i got a 2 and a hal pounder. the ish were lopping all over the top back there so i continued to throw th spook with not as much as a bump except or a shad that hit it and stuck himsel. we went back to the main point and the ish started suracing there so i began to throw the spook again when suddenly i observed a seagull type bird dive bomb my spook and hooked himsel. that was the best ight i have had since december when i caught an 11.4 sitting in the exact same spot. inally i got the bird to the boat and unhooked his beack irst, bad move cause he was hooked in the wing as well. he wouldnt let us get to the wing. we tried to unhook the wing but it was buried in deep and the bird was wigging so i had to let him go. so i you see and here a bird lying with a spook in the wing just realize that he was a catch and realease. anyways i dont think anyone else caught any ish cause it was real slow. tried yamamoto grubs, worms, spinnerbaits and spooks.the latter is the only one that produced.

Tips: try greassy cove till the water on the main lake warms a little more. watch out or the loating wood.

      Water Temp: ??

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Was ishing or largemouth rom 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Nothing. You can see them in 2 to 3 oot o water (Pre spawn), but will not bite anything!!. Even dropped a healthy nightcrawler about 1 inch away rom its ace...did not bite, started to back o. These ish are diinitley not hungry thats or sure. I tried black plastic worms, crank bait, even nightcralers with no luck. Will try back early April.
      City: Lakewood

Tips: May try waiting til late March or early April. Dragging black or crayish colored 6 inch plastic worms over there nesting area may work well in early April. Set your hook ast because they will drop your plastic once they get it away rom there nest.

      Water Temp: 55-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went to Pudd and caught only two, But rom a recent report rom my riend Richard Hernandez he ished the lake the 10 and 11th and said that the bass are starting to get on beds. He also nailed a huge 9.3 while sight ishing a bed. Most anglers are inding the ish near structure, But as the end o March approaches, I think the spawn will be in ull swing.
      City: Ontario

Tips: Roboworms or lie like plastics are the best plastics or the lake. Another technique is ishing a Yo-Zuri Pins Minnow when ishing beds. I'd ish the coves at Puddingstone. Their are 4 major coves aroud the lake just use a map to spot them.

Report: Fished rom irst light to about 3:00, had about 10 ish. First ish o the morning was about 3 pounds on a hula grub hal way back into a cove in about 2 eet o water. Got me excited thinking the ish were in serious transition. NOT! Nothing else until I went back to the main lake point leading to the cove and started catching ish again, but smaller and split-shotting. Tried other spots with no success, but every time I returned to the point I got a ew more.
      City: Hanord

Tips: With a ew more degrees in water temp. LOOK OUT!!!! I think the ish are ready and waiting to move up.

Report: i went up or about 3 hours today. i didnt catch a darn thing. i used spider jigs, worms, pig and jig, cranks, spinners and rip baits. i got about 3 hits in three hours and couldnt poke a one. the day was nice and warm and the wind was blowing but the ish just arent ready yet. a couple more weeks to a month and it will be the beginning o the prime. i worked the main point to about 40 t and tried the damn ound the ish just couldnt poke em. i also got back to greasy cove and the ish were there they just wouldnt hit.

      Water Temp: 52-54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched about 6:30, got a slow start. Got onto a good pattern or 12-14 in spots by 7:30. Fishing main lake points, but they had to have river rock on 'em. The standard points without it held nothing. We were throwing hula grubs. Tried reaction or a while, nothing. The only bite we got going was with the hula grubs, and some o those bites were subtle. A ront was on top o us with ugly gray skies and cold wind that made the boat rides very cold. With a warm spell I think the ish will be stacked up making their transition. They're just parked o o those main lake points waiting to move up. Some o the areas that worked or my partner two weeks prior didn't pan out on this trip.
      City: Hanord

Tips: Plastics on the main lake points with river rock. Another 4 degrees in water temp. and I think it will bust wide open or reaction baits rom main lake points back to secondary points. Yahoooo.
