Castaic Lake
-
Water Temp: 57
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: O. K. , here we go or the bank guys or today. I agree with Castaic Dave as well, the overall action was slow and short lived today. 6:45am to 10:00am. 1 ish on a live nightcrawler and 1 small guy on a small plastic. O.K. bite rom 7:00am to 8:00am and then the bite just dropped o completely! The pressure had been dropping until 9:30am but it made no dierence either way ater 8:00am.
City: Los AngelesTips: Once again, light line, move it along slow, until we get around 62 degrees then you might be able to speed it up ater then. Right now the best tip is...., put the keys in the ignition and try. Now's the time you could hook a monster! Good Luck!

Report: Went down to Nacimiento to see i the white bass were running yet. Got a ew, but it was slow. Decided to ish or spots and the action was good. Used cranks near rocks and did pretty well. Ended up boating about 15. Also got a couple on a zoom super luke. The lake is near ull and the hills are green. Tight lines,Rocky
City: San JoseTips: Crank around rocks......

Puddingstone Lake
-
Water Temp: ??
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Action is slow. Sight ishing a must. Was ishing the point rom 8:0am to 1:30pm. No luck. One guy ishing nightcrawler caught one. Maybe 2 lbs. The Bass is not interested in anything. Best way to ish right now would be to see a bass 2 to 3 eet o water and try to make it bite. I used pepper grubs, purple worm, split shotting. No luck. Even guys using live bait was not getting any hits. I think the bass in this lake has become very smart rom all the ishing pressures. I will try a di lake next time.
City: LakewoodTips: This lake is very strange. Too much ups and downs

Water Temp: ???
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Hey guys don't give up on puddingstone. I ish there everyday, and yes it slowed up because o the pre-spawn but i can tell you it's still producing a lot o ish. On the 22nd I ended the day with 7 ish. I talked to a guy, vincent, he already landed 9 ish. people were mostly sight-ishing that day. But 23rd i landed a 6.5lb at about 5:30pm. It was a emale that seemed to have no mate. yesterday i also landed a 5lb. emale on the east shore around 5:30pm. and a 1.5lb male. so there still other ish out there that aren't spawning. so in all it's been doing rather well.
City: diamond barTips: or this crummy pre-spawn, i've been using a homemade ry and lat tail that i make. they're mostly a rootbeer-green color and realy ugly and rigid. so it really hasn't matter what bait you use. but rather the color, action, and eel. i've been texas rigging it, and sometimes ddrop shotting. giving a 3-2-3 rythim. try to ind the most consistent color and shape. try not to waste time changing plastics.good luck, tight lines...

Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: O. K. This is or anyone tired o seeing "old" ish reports. The reports you will see rom me are or olks who are walking the banks. I like boats, but or getting in, then out quickly, there's nothing like your eet! So, here we go.The ish are starting to move up rom deeper water now. Water has been let in on & o via the aqua duct system lately. It stains the water but does'nt look like it's hurting the bite TOO much. You'll ind (or now)the BEST bite rom 7:00am to 11:00am, then it REALLY dies o. I you need more ino Call Sport Chalet (310) 657-3210 #356 Ask or Mike Watkins in the ishing dept. For the rest o the season I'll punch in here to keep the reports CURRENT!!!
City: Los AngelesTips: Lots o things work here! But day in, day out, you can't beat ishing split shotted small plastics! When I want a client to catch at least SOMETHING I give them this set-up!Light line is key. I use 4lbs test alot! I RARELY get skunked, or what it's worth. Right now I'm hooking 1 to 3.5lbs ish just walking the shore or a ew hours. Fish SLOW, SLOW, & SLOW. Move the plastic ONLY a couple o inches at a time. I suggest a long rod 6'6" to 7'6" you'll get out arther, you'll stay on the bottom longer, which

Kaweah Lake

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: went up at 430. the pressure was unreal, with jetskiers, regular skiers, ishing boats and the wind to deal with. it wasnt a normal night trip or me. i had a bunch o hits but only stuck one in 5 hours. not too hot. the wind was howling and the water was whitecapping. it is trips like these that are very humbleing. oh well i will get them next time. oh yeah rubber worm was what i caught the ish on. see you up there
City: visaliaTips: the damn skiers are howling by within casting distance. have a zara spook tied on and try to snag one......they think they own the lake and dont give a crap about anyone but themselves.

Lopez Lake

Water Temp: 58 - 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: A lot o ishing, but no catching.I was hoping on catching some bass in the prespawn stage, but due to the water temp still low, the ish weren't coming out to play. I hit major points and drops o to get only a couple o hits using the Castaic Swimbait (6 inch Rainbow trout colored). Throw spinnerbaits, cranks and crawled plastic's with no luck. Did notice that some balls o shad were suspended at 30 eet and some markings underneath that. But they were not bitting or me.
City: Santa MariaTips: Going to let the water warm up a little bit more, beore going back.
