      Water Temp: 53

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went the 8th and let the kids do some shore fishing since dad worked and didnt want to deal with the boat myself. They caught their trout but i wont let out my secret mixed colors i use to catch em. I can tell you this, people were offering to buy a ball of what i was making up...lol. Before it hits the bottom, fish on. I walked the shore and thinking no way will i catch a bass in this cold water...i was wrong. Dont want to post how good i did but i was able to land a few 3lbers in shallow water.
      City: Clovis

Tips: My only tip is powerbait for trout and big or little senkos for bass. You cant go wrong with the red senkos and if u use the big ones, cut them in half. Enjoy, see you there one day.

Headed right off to the flats by the dam. Some debri but not too bad. Hit the right cove by the dam with jigs and senkos all the way around. Mothing! Saw some indications of fish at 30 feet but not a tap between partner and I.

Hit the flats on weed lines and up close to the shore. Nothing. Headed to Jackass and all the way to the back of Jackass cove. One small fish tapped a purple senko. That was it! Chatted with four other boats we saw. Same issue. Hit the flats across from White Oak launch with swims, arky heads, jigs. Nada. weather turned very cold witn misting rai. Loaded up.

Stopped at gate for new wire tag and three others were right behind me. Same answer. Not even a tap.

Tips: Lots of good water but it needs to calm downa little. Give it one more week then will head back to check things again. Pretty rough day.

      Water Temp: 54.1

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Water temps up a tad due to the very nice weather we are having. A few boats out this morning at 8:30 launch. Helped a guy try to start his Merc but his starter was adios. Sorry I couldn't be of more help guys.

Hit Banana Point on my 1st stop with my fav jig combo and punched a nice 20" 5 pounder on the third cast. Thank you big lady! She looked good and healthy and no marks and a tribute to the water quality and food source of the Pez.

Elected to head down the lake but --- opps-- Motor was hit and miss. Took her back in on the trailer - changed plugs and switchbox -- back in and hit the throttle but she was still lacking power and was smoking pretty heavy coming back in. Only change I made was oil. Started using a Synthetic oil and attribute the fouling plugs [4 plugs fouled out again]to the oil. Going back to my original oil.

Tips: Not much to report other than I lost my best jig on a rock. Drats! Gotta find another one.

      Water Temp: 53.6

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Bite was well off from Modays results. Pretty tough and it was difficult to locate a bite. FLW Pro Jared Lintner was out today and we chatted a bit about the bite. Same senario with him. Was pretty tight going. Weather cooled a few degress and the wind was maybe a 5mph. A few other friends on hand today as well. Same situation -'Tough Bite'.
      City: SM

Tips: Noting really that productive. Few fish I did get were by the dam area with Robo Aarrons Magic.

Managed a nice 4+ and a 2+ at the dam droppin. Ski cove was slow but filled with Crappie fishers who were having slow problems as well.

      Still a great day!
      City: SM

Tips: Fish were in 30-40 feet and staging in about 25'levels. Slow bite so work it slow, then slower.

Report: Still a little slow at the Lopes. Managed a 2 to 3 pounder at Ski Cove draggin my fav jig. More wind today and it made it tough to hold points.

Tips: Brn/Grn patterns were still working. No luck on the dam at all. Too windy

      Water Temp: 53.6

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A last year blast at the pez [I think]. Was a chilly 37o when I arrived at 9AM. Left a box of donuts at the main gate for the weary workers who have the dirty duty this weekend. Makes ya feel good to give a gift.....

Warmed up great nice by 11ish and took off the hooded sweat shirt as what little wind was there shut off to another almost flat water. Great!

Hit Ski cove [Strawberry to some] and again, hit a nice 3 pounder draggin a jig. Headed towards Vasquez and hit all the points and walls with a crank but Nada. Changed patterens and colors but still no takers. Went to the dam and hit a few smaller fish and headed to Whittenburg. Picked off a few more with maybe one keeper and headed in. Nice relaxing day before Xmas....
      City: SM

Tips: Fish slow! Fish are hovering around 30 to 45 feet. Arrons Magic red flake took most all the fish on a drop and my jig cration captured yet another good keeper draggin structure. Think I got a keeper jig!

Report: Not too bad out today but the overcast and high pressure still has the critters laying low. Hit Ski cove draggin a jig with only one taker. Dropshotted a clump of structure in 47' and only managed small guys. But they are healthy...

Hit some more points and the wind really laid down and wow! FLAT WATER AT LOPEZ?? Get a camera!. Cranked a few poits with only i smaller fish, hit the dam area and saw a guy bank fishing. Sounded like he was hanging in there but was a ways from his vehicle... Anyway. scored a few more small ones and headed in. Go figure.. Boats all hooked up and wiped down and the sun pops out.. Oh Well...
      City: SM

Tips: Brown/Purp jig with a Pumpkin trailer grub has been working in 30-40 feet dragging across or on structure. Decent smallie on Friday and a good LG on Saturday

      Water Temp: LOW 60S

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Today was interesting to say the least. Day off work...drove to lopez around 10, the past few times I went out I tried a few spots that I can get to with ease (shoreline fishermen) skunked....one of these days was saterday during the downpour. Anyway on the way out I noticed a entrance to the damn from the road....so I parked there this time....walked to the damn....pulled out my football jig with yama duel tail trailer brown with purple flakes.....second cast in 30 feet of water a nice 3lb small mouth....walked alil closer tword the dam.....this time 1 oz spinner bait...droped to the bottem..guessing 50 feet...by the time my lure got to the 10-15 foot depth range near a rock point...my rod tip slammed down....i set the hook once and didnt like it ..set it again...and started cranking...i had 20lb test with a calcutta ..normaly my swimbait rod....i got excited at how heavy the fish fought and felt...was only a 3 1/2. Hey Bd if you read this...i usualy see your posts and have took your tips and summarys into consideration...I live in santa maria...where are you from?
      City: SM

Tips: Jigs have worked well for me in about 20-30 feet of water....but i usualy get hit dragging the bottem slowww bouncing over cover..and resting it. It can be a tough place to fish for Shoreliners like my self.

      Water Temp: 56.3

Report: Made a visit to the pez as the weather was looking great. Pretty slow out.. Partner and I hit Ski Cove first off to see if the banks held any incomers seeking food from the run-off. Pretty slim pikins but I did manage a nice 3+ smallie draggin a jig. Hit the dam area and only scored a few fish. Worked the walls heading back to the marina with nothing to show.
      City: SM

Tips: Some 'chocolate' water starting to show closer to Vasquez. BE CAREFUL! SOME DEBRIS ON THE LAKE NOW.

Had a brn/red/org w/purple-brn hula grub trailer football head 1/2oz on the smallie. Oxbld lt Robos on the dam

Report: Fished in the rain for 2 hours near the dam, on the bank. Hooked 3 on a dropshot about 30 feet deep. Landed one nice spot, one came off and one broke me off. 4" dark plastics were working for me. No bites on a splitshot rig.
      City: Oakhurst

Tips: Take a boat if you got one. Got snagged repeatedly fishing from the bank. Use a 30" leader on your dropshot or your worm will br in the weeds.

      Water Temp: 54.6

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Finally -! A great day with a new fishing friend. Had a super time and a day that proved worth going to Lopez.. Full moon, sunshine, very little wind but a very tough morning.

Hit all the fav spots with NADA - ZIP. Jigs, cranks, creatures, nothing was enticing a bite. Finally headed to the dam at noon as we knew we could hook up. Pulled out the dropshot and heaved out. BANG. Never hit bottom and I scored on a small large. We hit several more before moving towards the log-boom area and heaved out across the booms. Three more casts and YANK! Got my best ever bass at the lopes. Digital scale showed a 7-14 so out came the camera. After claming down, I tossed back out and BANG, another keeper in the 3.9 range.. Day is looking better ! More pix's and tossed out three or four more times and BANG, a nice 6.2 kicker! Yehaw. Oxblood light Red Flake Robo I love ya! Headed in a 1PM with a smile.
      City: SM

Tips: Fish were deep. 35-45 feet and deeper but very lathargic. Work it slow, then slow down some more. My big fish were in 35 foot range against the rocks then worked it back. .
