      Water Temp: 58-60'

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got to the lake around 11:00 and had some followers on jerkbaits on secondary points but no takers. Slowed down with finesse worms and small jigs in the main lake area. Did not get a bite until 4pm and caught 4 fish within an hour back to reaction. As the water warmed up I found the fish to move up shallower.
      City: Clovis

Tips: Jerkbaits on secondary points leading into the coves with wind. There seemed to be a mudline where they were holding shallow (2-4 ft).

      Water Temp: 62.3

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A day to just check out the conditions. water temp is good. Cold [34o] launch this morning at safe light. A few boats already in the water. Headed to the narrows to check out the jig bite past Boy Scout dock. Used my new ZG Jigs to establish a report for my lure maker. Pretty slow with only one small tap... Moved off to Vaca flats and heaved a Hula Grub to the banks and back. Hook Up! Decent 5 but she was unbuttoned at the boat - Sh happens!

Back towards the narrows again with a stop at Jackass. Pretty dead as a few guys were saying the same. Puttered around the back of Jackass with nothing showing except a few suspended fish. Called it a day about noon.
      City: SM

Tips: Fish still slow to react to finese and jigs. No blade or top water hitters today. never saw one fish break water.

      Water Temp: Warming

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I fished Thursday with my Dad and nephew with powerbait for 2 slime rockets in 3 hours. Not my thing. The lake looked great so I went back today with my bass gear and it was ON! I caught (and released) a 20 pound limit of spotted bass in 15 minutes with less than 10 casts. Largest fish was just under 7 pounds. I don't have a boat right now so it was all off the bank slow rolling a spinnerbait uphill.
      City: Oakhurst

Tips: The bite is early. I caught everything before 8:30 and only 1 more in the next 2 hours. I used an 8'6" rod to make long casts to reach the fish which are staging on weedbeds at the breakline in about 20' of water.

Report: A fun trip with two fishing buddies for the day. Cold morning with only a few boats on the water. Rain coming in and it is keeping guys away.

Stopped at the right point just out of the marina 5mph zone and my friend popped a nice 3-4 on a drop on second cast. Moved to the back and hit a few walls and I pulled in a 2 pounder on a drop. Hit it with a jig, senko and more drops but no takers. Moved to the dam and my buddy pulled in a 2 pounder. Hit Whittenberg points for takers but no luck. Clouding up quickly so headed to the ramp. Still a fun day.
