Report: Went to Naci on sat. the bite was solid, we caught over 50 fish in about 6 hours. Most of the fish were in the 13-15 inch range with one over 16 inches. We caught the fish from 6 inches to 20 feet of water. Main lake points with wind seemed to be the best for us. We also caught some fish around the docks. All but one of our fish came on a drop shot rig. We used 4.5 inch curly tailed robo worms in sexy shad and oxblood red flake.
      City: Hollister

Tips: The bite was a pressure bite. You may feel a slight tick, give it a second, feel the pressure then set the hook.

Report: Cold cold cold - and - Slow Slow Slow ---
Go to Naci. Might have better luck.
This Lake was really shut off today. Only one in the boat. Hit every good spot we knew off, and obviously, we wen't the only ones having difficulty figuring out this water shed today.

Still alot of algea in the water near the dam area by BeeRock cove. Were some beds there a week ago but didn't see anything around them. Figured they went deep. Tried 65 feet to 8 feet with nothing hooking up. Blades, cranks, jigs, finess and drop shot provesd fruitless.

Seem things went South all day for us. Coke can blewup in my face, busted off the transducer when a wind gust shoved the boat off to one side loading it, then after all that, I popped a tire on the trailer. Should have stayed home! Might think twice about coming to Antone again.

Tips: Tips??? Man I got nuttin to offer this trip.

Report: I fished Pyramid Friday April 24th .... a historical recap this would be,then. Conditions were mostly cloudy and cool with a good breeze coming from the dam (south to north). Ten or so trailers in the lot and one other bass boat at ramp (w/motor troubles). Water clear so I started throwing a white spinner bait. Got three small large mouth on three casts. Other bass boat limped back to ramp ... motor wouldn't run. All other fishing boats trolling for stripers in the middle of the lake. I was only bass boat out all day with no jet skiers or wakers !! Bite was really good around the shale bed rock walls and no where else. Wind really got gusty later .. hooded sweat shirt weather. Fished same s.b. all day and retied a couple times. Most fish were small one pounders but i got several about three pounds. Those smallmouth just luuuuuuuuuuvvvv to smack that spinner bait. Lots of fun. Boated 25 plus fish all told.

Report: Great day I went off the last report. Started in windy gap area with a MS slammer did not get first bite until 7:15 4.5 pounder i had a huge bass hit it but did not get the hooks. I continud down the bank and cought 2 more in the 3-4 pound range. It was about 8:30 so i ran down across from big creek with my huddleston rof 16 in the silver blue back. 4th cast 8.5 pounder 3 casts later a 6. I went 2 more hours with no bites thats when i hooked MO got her to the boat she looked like possibly the world record spot. I have caught alot of 10 pound blacks and she looked bigger than anything i have seen. As i was getting my net she made 1 final run and broke me off. After a few minutes to calm down i made a cast in the same spot i hooked the MONSTER and caught a 5 pound spot. From there i just kept going down the bank i caught 3 more over five pounds. Decided to call it a day. I caught all blacks with 1 spot and the huge spot that broke me off. all in all a very decent day!!!
      City: bakersfield

Tips: Just keep throwing eventually you will get bit.
1st time on the silver blue back. My favorite now

Report: Another Sunday jaunt to Margi for a bit of luch from last weeks outing. Much better temps this motning at 6:40 launch with 44o amd a nit foggy.

Headed straight for last weeks spot loking for a jig bite. Trolled around the roak walls for maybe 1/2 with no takers so moved off 200 yards farther in the narrows. Move paid off as I boated a nice 4+ gal who gave me a good workout. Kept heading back with no other takers so I headed around the corner and hit the back stickups. Managed a few 1-1/2 pounder dropping a robo in the stickups but nothing of value so moved back towards the walls. Hitthe point in the narrows that makes the big right hander and lipped a solid 3+ on the same jig.

Moved of towards the dam and it was filled with kayaker's tossing flyrod stuff so hit zaca flats. Pulled in nice 3 again and called it enough for the day. Some brisk winds came up but soon diminished to warmer sakies. Elected to call it early today as I think I had a head cold coming. All in all, another good day. Heard ABA winners Jared Lintner and partner were in with 30+ Saturday. Good job Jared!
      City: SM

Tips: Blk/Blu stand-up 1/2oz jig with Trigger X june bug trailer took all my catch today. Tossed a Talon swim in the 5MPH zone towards the dam but no takers today.

      Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Windy, but good day of fun fishing. Found several nice fish still on beds, and got a few good fish out of the trees near the bridge. Jackall green pumpkin and watermelon Flickshake worms dropshoting, and pitched four inch Covercraw in the trees. Biggest fish was five pounds even, best five were about sixteen pounds.
      City: Sun City

Tips: If you sight fish, check the area right next to the boat ramp and in the narrows No Wake area. Or pitch the Jackal Covercraw or your favorite bait in the middle of the deeper trees, and deadstick it for a while. Slow down and really look and you will see fish cruising shallow.
