      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water around 8:00 a.m. Headed for the boat docks at Oak Shores. Picked up a dink. Decided to see if there were any whites in the Narrows....went all the way to the back...NOTHING..fished all the rock banks, sandy banks, grassy banks..threw jerkbaits, t-rigged plastics...lipless cranks...in line spinners...NADA.... Motored out and headed into Las Tablas and stayed there the rest of the day. Threw a black/blue Roboworm on a darter head and must have caught 50 fish between the two of us. Ended up being a great day on the water!
      City: Paso Robles

Tips: STAY OUT OF THE NARROWS!! Couldn't pick up fish to save our lives. A lot of crap in the water too, so be careful. Las Tablas is the place to be...throw darter head plastics...t-rigs...and fish slow..just wait for the tick and let em' have it!!

      Water Temp: Low 50's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Since there havn't been any reports on Margarita since Oct. I thought I would add to it. Launched out of White Oak at dawn and went to the south end. With the rains we just got the south end was really muddy (less then 2' vis) and cold LOw 50's. I power fished all day with no success, threw Rattle Trap, spinner bait, Threw the Hud. and dragged a big BrushHog. There was an ABA Tournament going on that had a low % of limits. But one guy brought in a fat bag of over 25lbs.
      City: Paso Robles

Tips: The lake is at full capacity. Give it a week of sunshine (and clearing) and it should go off. Word I got was fish were bitting lite line finese worming.

      Water Temp: Who knows?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got shutout again! Nothing to report here. What I am hoping to find is a local pro who would be willing to teach me how to catch these damn Lake Poway (LP) trout. Learning to catch the bass would be nice, too. I figure I first need a good grounding in the fundamentals (what is a good reel/pole/line, setting up my rig (dep on conditions), casting and reeling in, etc). Emails/tips welcome, too!
      City: La Jolla

Tips: Renting a boat here is a waste. I've seen just as many fish (both trout and bass) caught by shore fisherman as I have by boats.

      Water Temp: 51 to 53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Here a lake that i shouldnt over look because of eastman. There are some nice 15 to 18 inch bass been caught out of here up to 3 pounds and brushhogs are the bait that is catching most of the fish here. Watermelon & watermelon red/black flake are the colors to use here also. brown jigs in 1/4 & 3/8 oz with a single tail yamamoto watermelon or watermelon red/black flake grub work well. The bass here are in 12 to 25 feet of water and are holding to rock piles and points next to deeper water. the dam area on the ranger station side is holding some nice bass as is the 5mph area just before the bouy line on both sides. Traffic is very light on weekends and warmer weather is ahead this lake could be a sleeper for swimbait fisherman.
      City: kerman ca.

Tips: OVER LOOKED BY MANY IM GOING TO START TO FISH THIS LAKE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND NOW AFTER THIS LAST STORM. Any questions here e-mail me at markinman50@aol.com

Try the backs of coves & rock piles also points and humps are all good right now at this lake. Fish slow and pick and area that has good structure and there will be fish on it. Flats near the dam are also hold fish spinnerbaits early in the morning & some crankbait fish are showing citrus shad color cranks are working in deaths of 10 to 15 feet of water off of humps and rock piles.

Report: I fished here for 3 years before I bought my bass boat. I have caught fish bass to 8lbs, but many 3-6lbs on occassion. this lake has one problem and that is the people who keep the bass, I have seen people put 10lb bass on a stringer there, ugh!!@! two colors work real well, green and purple, after that black is my next choice. spinner baits white and chart/white
along the dam is a good choice this time of the year, use heavy tackle, the chance of a large 15lb+ striper is possible (I've witnessed this)
For plastics I always liked robo worms, yamamoto spider grubs (fished on a 3/8 oz football jig head) senkos (better in march-june)drop shotting can be good around the "hump" there is an underwater hump about 150 yds out from the ramp going towards the dam. I have one secret lure I never left home without, most people I ever told laughed and thought I was full of it, a chrome/blue kastmaster! when you see shad on the surface or any kind of surface action throw that kastmaster through it, I caught many, many bass on it, and still use it to this day to catch bass on the delta.

      Water Temp: 51 to 53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Bass fishing here is also pick up now with some fish hitting 3 pounds. Fish are in 10 to 25 feet of waterand the backs of coves are warming up and some bass are coming up shallow jigs in brown or brown /purple are working well. Also brushogs are also working here and lizards shouldnt be far behind and also spinnerbaits should start here soon.Again pick and area and work it well.
      City: kerman ca.

Tips: pick 2 or 3 of your favorite baits and hit this lake with the warmer there a good chance some bigger fish well come up shallow. Humps points dropoffs next to shallower water all good spots that hold fish here. Good luck Any questions e mail anytime.
