      Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: SOCB had a tourney. The bite was tough. Everyone had trouble getting keepers. There were quite a few dinks caught, but after the AM bite, the wind just never came up, and so no fish turned on for the afternoon bite. So it was a beautiful day and hot with only a light breeze. Needles to say, both Brian and I were depending on the wind for our prefish patterns (jerkbaits, spinners and rip baits). I had also found alot of fish stacked out deep on the secondary points with big bait balls. The low pressure and rain must have changed that, becouse they weren't there. The water had come up 5 feet or so, so the grass wasn't matted like before, so the frog bite wasn't there. Great day with bad fishing.

Tips: Most fish caught early on main points shallow on cranks, shallow jerk baits and drop shot before 9:00. From then it was just scratch with drop shot and split shot.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: We arrived at lake at 9a.m. Caught fish all day. Drop shot is all that worked for us. 15 ft. 30 ft. deep everywhere. All fish were small. Some very small. All together around 20 fish caught maybe three were keeper size fish. Still alot of fun. Left lake at 3p.m.
      City: VISALIA

Tips: Color didn't seem to matter. Neither did the location we fished.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Caught about 5 small bass in about 4 hours. We fished jigs. They seem to be biting on the purple and green. While fishing for bass we hooked a 10 lb catfish. Took about 15 minutes to reel in on an ultralight rod.

      Water Temp: 66-69

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started fishn on the east side around 9am on a beautiful windless day. Very few birds and no surface activity. The 'mouth' and I fish for about 2hrs and boated about 10 fish with only one keeper in 15 to 20' drop shottn..Went across and fished big island and spent the rest of the day on that side of the lake as there was more surface activity and more fish on the graph. We ended the day with about 30 fish of which half were dinks. Most of the fish came on drop shotn in 15-28' with a few on cranks. Nothing big, largest was just under 2#, but it was a great day to be out.
      City: orinda

Tips: did not see nor graph any bait on the east side, nor did any of our fish spit up any. On the west side it was just the opposite. We graphed big balls at 30' and there were big balls on the surface as well, i.e. bait everywhere. All of these fish were spitn up enough bait to start a chum line. Graphed alot of fish, but caught only about one persent of them; they are very full and finnicky...lotsa of surface feeding trout also..well hope this info helps...

      Water Temp: 61

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water around 8am. Headed to the dam end of the lake and started fishing main lake points on into the backs of coves.
Started throwing a shad colored jerkbait...nothing. Switched to a baby bass colored worm on a t-rig and got one bite...missed the damn thing! The rest of the total 5 hours on the water, threw a shad colored Terminator spinnerbait with a white split tail trailer, a chrome w/ blue Cordell Spot, a C-rig with a Reaction Innovations Hot Tamale Flirt... went to the back of the lake and started flippin' submerged trees with a Strike King jig paired with a Yum craw trailer....NOTHING>>>>
My partner, Jim, picked up one small largemouth on the same C-rig...it had a crawdad in its gullet. That was the ONLY fish in 5 hours.
Fully expected to pick up at least a limit of fish chasing baitfish, but boy was I wrong.

Report: Ok I'm tired of no reports and I have been kind of lazy too, so here it goes. Went out about 0430. Some nice fish on the damn with buzz baits. Drop shotting bold blue gill and aarons magic scored some more fish. At 0800 as we were about to leave I started to pull my bait and I felt a tick. I got freight trained and a big A$# fish came up (At least I got to see it) then went down and came unbuttoned! Thank god we were leaving because I did not want to fish any longer.
      City: Tulare

Tips: Good time to get your fishing in. The fish are biting, and will boost your confidence :) Dam, rock walls, the usual places will be holding...Have fun

Report: Who else is crazy enough to camp at San Anton' over the Labor Day wknd? I'm gonna be there--probably at South Shore near Harris Creek. I'll be float tube fishing unless I can talk my way onto someone's boat. I've been there plenty of times with relatively good success. Drop me a line if you're gonna be down there and would like to do a little bassin. I also plan on doing some late-night fishin for cats with the aid of adult beverages.
I'll post results when I return.
