McClure Lake
-
Water Temp: 62-64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: My mom and I ished a tourney and started out at Cottonwood. She was catching on a spinnerbait and I was catching on a Jr. spook. Later in the morning and the rest o the day we caught on anything, but our better ish were on brushhogs in the grass at least the largemouth were (2.4lbs). We ended up with a little more weight than my dad (pineapple) and his partner, but not good enough to place.
City: DelhiTips: topwater and spinnerbaits in the morning and worms, brushogs. Largemouth were in the grass in back ends o coves shallow 1t-5t. Slow down your spinnerbait don't burn it.

Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished 6:30 am to 1:30 pm. Spent the day in the river arm ishing lats & coves. I started w/top water & spinner bait while partner ished a split shot 4" green craw type worm. Boated 8 ish by 7 am, most in the slot & all spots. Top water & spinner bait bite shut down by 9 am so we ished various split shot plastics, i.e. baby brush hogs (watermelon w/red lake), same color 4" lizards, green craw style worms, & pumpkin w/green & black lake Senkos. We caught 40+ ish or the day but a typical McClure culling the clones day. Best ive went about 8 lbs. & boated only one black all day. Tourney big ish was 10.5 lbs.. Fish were a little deeper because o the colder weather but were being caught almost anywhere on the lake. Most consistent bigger ish bite appears to have been the Horse Shoe Bend area using weightless or split shot Senkos.
City: DelhiTips: Morning top water & spinner bait then ish the plastics on your avorite stlye o rig. Let your spinner bait go a little deeper w/a slow to moderate retrieve rate. I used white & chartruese w/double willow lea in 3/8th oz.

Amador Lake
-
Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I just read the previous report and thought I could shed some light on his "no bass" report. Phil - don't eel bad. I went with the tacklerep (Rick) the very next day at the same time (3 to 8 PM). I really didn't go with the idea o repeating his great catch, but to prove my theory that when big bass eed a certain day or night, they don't repeat the eed bag the next day. And I was interested in what the incoming cold ront would have. Well, to put it mildly, timing is everything!!!! In the ive hours we ished, I caught one 10" bass and Rick caught one close to 2 lbs just beore we quit. I believe I heard the expression "I can't believe this!" at least ten times rom my good ishin' buddy!! The lake had totally changed - baitish, bluegill, and bass! And so, the old adage - "you should have been here yesterday" - is alive and well!!! I believe another riend o mine was ishing the lake the next night too, and did very poorly.
City: Yuba CityTips: Actually when you hear the ishing was great a certain day, you might want to wait a day or two beore trying to repeat the good report. I oten like to ish a lake when I hear the ishing is slow. I will wait or a warming trend and then go. It usually has to get better. Or the ish simply are deeper than most anglers are ishing.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: Unknown
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched out o Orwood or a day on the Delta with Partner Grandpa Ed. Wind was howling, raining, thunder, lightening all the signs or a horrendous day. Ed's irst cast with Senko nails 4+ largie and I lock up a 2+ on ch/ch spinnerbait. The tide is high and were in 4-6 eet o water. The thunder gets a bit close and we're thinking time to head or the hills, but change our minds and run into Disco. Proceeded to catch 20+ ish up to 5lbs. Ed catches all his on Senko (watermelon/red lake) and mine come on Norman white crank, mad man craw, black/blue jig, wh/wh spinnerbait. I decided to not throw a senko to learn some new baits. The key was SLOW...SLOW presentation. Made me a bit nervous. Grandpa had his best day ever on the Delta because he was a patient man. Let Disco with easy 20+ bag and went to lunch. Got back in boat and headed to my avorite transition spot LOW TO HIGH and pulled out the Red NORMAN nailed two nice ish...Grandpa with his trusty Senko hammers another 4 pounder. I decide its time or me to use a Senko and we continue to catch ish. Last cast caught a 6+ pound emale with eggs still in her.
City: discovery bayTips: Caught ish on every bait we threw. Senko hit the big.gest. I used watermelon/black lake and Black with Blue lake. NO WEEDS/NO ROCKS/NO TULLES NO FISH. Too ast no ish Throw Senko...and shake it. Feel the tick...reel down and ish will be on the other end. I you count the little guys we had 40+ ish. Best 7 were 28-30 lbs. Fished all in the South Delta.

Water Temp: 60-64
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Just as Mark Lassagne reported below I ound the bite to be wide open yesterday. Launched at Sugar Barge under partly cloudy skies. Wind was not bad in the morning and was actually dead calm or a couple o hours. I took advantage o the conditions & put on 1/16oz brass and glass with woim and slayed them. I was ishing looded islands out o current in 2-4 t o water. Fish were very agressive and I caught a ew topwater and blade ish too, but the main pattern was shaking woims with brass and glass. At low tide I targeted deeper tule berms with very little current on them using 3/16oz weights. Caught around 35 ish total, but was surprised I could not ind any at emales up around the ull moon. I know many o the larger ish have already spawned but there should be plenty o smaller ish still ready to go. Maybe they were out on the 1st break as I pounded the shoreline stucture all day. Many 3# ish though and lots o un on the water. Hope this ront doesn't kill the bite or the weekend! I ished the Franks Tract/Mildred Area and kept the T-mtr down burning little gas. O course that's easy to do when the bite is wide open! Tight Lines,Mike Birch
City: DanvilleTips: Find protected areas out o the current as this time o the year. Most o my ish were caught lippin rather than pitchin yesterday. Keep T-Mtr on slow/constant and electronics o to minimize noise.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Ladd's at 7:00 and headed or some back slough's to get out o this lousy wind. The bite was really on. I don't know i it was the tide , the moon or what but the ish were as agressive as I've ever seen and they all wanted a watermelon/red lake senko. Lot's o shad schooling in and around the shallow weed beds and it seemed like the bass were all over them. Five times I was able to catch two ish in the same spot, bang, bang. Once, two bass almost collided going or the senko at the same time just as it hit the water. All the action lasted till 1 p.m. when things settled down to a normal pace, a ish here and there. Total or the day was 38 largemouth and one 6 lb. striper that put up the best battle o all. Largest was 4.9 lbs. with the average about 2-2.5 lbs.
City: StocktonTips: The ish were shallow and I haven't seen any that looked spawned out.

Report: My buddy Keith rom Medord,or in town or a little ishing, we went in at centimundi and the debris is all gone thanks to a south wind, in at 540am air temp 50 and the lake is at the 8t level, Keith ran us over near Dolly Point in the Sac and we hit them good right o the bat, my biggest at 2.6 came on a jig and the rest were dinks, Keith asks me how the breakast bet with my son goes so I tell him that the next legal bass(12 inches) wins breakast, he promptly boats a ish and we measure it at 11 3/4. Back in we both go and I get the " breakast bass" at 12 1/4! Keith, thank you or the breakast at the Giant Orange! we ished some more or around 20 total, I won the big ish award or the day and Keith gets the most ish award and the privelege o buying me breakast (giggle) we tossed some MGM worms or a ew and used the 156,157 and a new one the 158, most came on jigs in 6-25 t. Keith used his killer clear worm or about 7 ish.

Report: EXPECTED 80-90 DEGREE WEATHER, BUT THIS IS REALLY NICE. I HAVE BEEN READING YOUR REPORTS FOR SOME TIME NOW, IT IS GREAT TO SEE SO MANY PEOPLE HELPING OTHERS. I REALLY THOUGHT THE BITE WOULD GET BETTER BUT IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE. THE MGM WORMS ARE GREAT, AND ALMOST ALWAYS WORK WHAT EVER PART OF THE LAKE I HAVE BEEN TO. WE LEFT THE HOUSEBOAT IN BASS COVE LAST NIGHT, FELT LIKE A HURRICANE THIS MORNING. COULDN'T GET THE TOPWATER BITE I HAVE BEEN GETTING,SO I TRIED THE RICO 519 WITH A MARKS TAIL NO.047IN REAL SHAD IT WORKED FOR FISH UP TO 2lbs. BUT NOTHING BETTER GLITTER/BLUE FLUKES WORKED ALSO. THE FISH SEEMED TO MOVE DOWN DEEPER TODAY,SINCE WE ARE GOING HOME TOMMORROW I WAS HOPING TO CATCH A BIGGEN, BUT WE HAD A GREAT VACATION, THANK YOU BRIDGE BAY MARINA FOR THE RENTAL.I GOT TO GO I PROMISED THE WIFE I WOULDN'T GET ON THE COMPUTER UNLESS IT WAS URGENT. Water Temp: 66
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: It was a stormy ugly day. I got there at 8 am and went to go ish by the power poles. I couldn't stay still in the wind even with a 55 lb thrust trolling motor. Got a ew hits on watermelon colored worms but no luck. Decided to go try under the bridge cause it is usually sheltered rom the wind. I was right. Caught a couple on watermelon worms on the south bank o that area. Then I switched over to the north side. Tore em up on Senko's in the rain. They would hit it as it slowly ell down. Caught about ten on senkos, our 15-16" keepers, then called it a day because o the rain.
City: Corcoran/SLOTips: Watermelon colored worms split or drop-shotted will catch some. When it was raining the ish became active and they were all over the baby bass colored senko. small ish would hitit on or near the surace. Larger ish hit it as it was alling into about 5-6 t.
