Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A lot o locals in the area can't tell the dierence between a trout or a bass. And even i they could, they're going to eat it. It's just the way they're raised. Most o the locals are rom the philippines, and there, they eat what they catch. Even i it's a small little bluegill. It's a city lake. That's what you'll see. I you want bigger bass, try the central valley lakes or the delta. All I ever get out o here are a ew trout here and there with my two sons. I did get lucky and caught a dink on a 7" brown worm. O course I threw her back.

Both kids put about 20 ish in the boat over the next 2 hours using this method. Biggest to 13.5" or my daughter; most were in the 12" range. Lots o un and kept the kids entertained. They could watch the bait slowly all and the ish congregate around it beore they got hit. Lots o action, but not much size.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Ladd's around 7 a.m. and headed or Middle River. Started with a senko and only managed three in the 1.5 lb. range in the irst hour ishing tules against the bank. Switched over to a baby brush hog and lipped into the weed beds or awhile and got our more but still no size. Things were pretty slow or awhile so I switched to a white spinnerbait and the quality o the ish improved. In the next couple o hours I was able to boat six more ish with the two best going 5.0 and 5.3. The spinnerbait bite slowly izzled so it was back to the senko in the tules. The tide was moving at a ast pace by then and I don't know i it had an eect on the bite, but the bigger ish sure turned on. By the time the day was over I caught six more, the three biggest went 6.8, 7.0 and 7.1. What a thrill. That's the heaviest 5 ish I've ever put together. 31.2 lbs. They were all released quickly where they were caught. The emales were still ull o eggs and showed no signs o spawning activity. A great day on the water.
City: StocktonTips: The larger ish were all caught right next to deep water, 12 to 25 t.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched my boat at Ladd's about 7 a.m. and headed or Middle River. Started with a Senko and had our little guys in the irst hour. Then switched to a baby brush hog in the weeds and had about the same success. On to a white spinner bait and the quality increased. A 3.2, 3.6, 5.0, 5.1.. The wind was howling and making things miserable so I moved to the protected side o the tules and went right down the line tossing a senko into the gaps. It was hard to keep the senko rom being blown around by the bow in my line caused by the wind, but it didn't seem to bother the ish. In the next couple o hours I boated six more ish, the three best went 6.8, 7.0, and 7.1. That's the heaviest 5 ish I've ever put together, 31 lbs. What a thrill. None o these emales had spawned yet.
City: StocktonTips: The largest ish were taken right next to deep water, 12 to 15 t.

Water Temp: 61-62
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Took client Justin Silva rom Elk Grove today. Lauched at Lundborg's Landing on Bethel Island. He wanted to learn some new area's and have a instructional lesson on using a jig and the new Senko presentation.I started him out in Sandmound on a bank that I knew had some ish on it. The jig didn't work but the Senko did. He put two ish in the boat with missin 2 more. On up Dutch Sl. to one o 3 side slough's that were known to have quality ish. Dead Low tide when we got there, many boats rom the WON pre-ish PRO-AM where in there. Didn't matter to me. Set the boat in the deepiest part o the slough and told him to toss the senko and let it sit there (DeadStickin). Pause, Pause, more pause, wait, wait, now move it, and repeat. By the time we hit the end o the slough. He had personally caught a 4lb, Lost a 4, put in another 4.5lb and slammed a 7.4lb into the boat that gave this gentleman the shakes or an hour. Took picture's o the ish individually and immediately release them. I checked every ish and none o them looked to be on there beds has o yet. Clean Tummies and no Blood spots on their ins, but at with eggs. We were o the water at Noon.See ya in the near uture!!!Rich Thiel Guide/Delta and Berryessa(510-317-2009
City: Castro ValleyTips: My advice or today and in the near uture is to ish slow and throw tight to cover has their sitting shallow but VERY inicky in what they will hit. Today's weather was windy. Caught all the ish in 4t o water. No spinnerbait or reaction bite to be had. At least I didn't ind that bite.
