      Report: Had a mixed bag today. Launched out of Paradise Point and fished Disappointment. 3 of us caught 7 bass (largest - 2lbs) and 3 stripers (3, 4, and 5 lbs). Went up to the Beaver, Hog, and Sycamore sloughs area and caught 3 salmon (8, 10, and 12 lbs).

      Most of the fish caught on 1/2 oz shad colored Rat L Trap.

      Tips: Rat L Traps. Upgraded Owner 4x size 4 hooks and heavier split rings so that they can handle the salmon and striper without hook or split ring getting straightened. Use the stop and go method when retrieving Rat L Traps.

      Report: I fished with my buddy Rick Tietz on Tues for about 6 hours. We started about 11:30 am, trying everything. We caught some nice spots up to 2 1/4 pounds using small worms. We caught several dropshotting and using spoons. It was fun finding suspended fish at about 25 feet - dropping the spoon to them at that depth - and watching the X-19 show us fish chasing the spoon! I used half-ounce brown/orange Rodstrainer jigs with my favorite #180 Yamamoto single tail grubs. After one or two jig fish, I got a good bite and I knew fall was here! She was a spotted bass that hit the scales at 5 lbs 2 oz. She was about 20 feet deep, near a ledge. Shortly after I missed another big fish - had her for a second. Darn!! We wound up with only 11 spots and 2 largemouth, though we missed several. The water was dead calm and made the fishing a little tough until later in the afternoon. I went by myself for a few hours Thurs morning, but the wind nearly blew me off the lake, and that is saying something for Collins when it is low!! I did catch 8 bass in a few hours with the biggest being a 2 3/4 lb largemouth - on the jig! I think fishing would have been good, but there was no place to get out of the wind.

      Tips: I tried reaction baits both days, but other than spoons, not much worked. No topwater. Lots of bait this year, so drop-shotting and spooning was quite good. The jig bite is now underway.

      Report: The tour did hammer the water this weekend, but the fish are still on bait, you just have to find the right bait. My partner and I worked many different pods to find the right bait. Even went through some salmon, fun but a waste of time in a tournament. Spooning and drop shotting caught all of our fish, in depths from 16' to 55'. A team weighed in an 8lb'er caught in the back of a cove on the first cast of the day- white spinnerbait. I talked to a few other teams that had topwater bites going as well. I heard of 2 fish over 10lbs coming on friday during the prefish. We have a great fishery right here in folsom. Just ask the Future Pro Tour fisherman.

      LAKE POWELL The Tournament 2 weeks ago (before the storm) produced excellent catching of smallmouth bass from 1-3 lbs. Top water actin on zara spooks (small and large) early in the day then go to th drop shooting on the submerged rock piles. The silver and black fleck Yammamoto Grubs as well as chatreuse are doing great and remember the keep the hook small. A slow lateral retrieve after touching bottom is the key.

      Report: 10 small mouth up to 3.5lbs found rock hump in upper river that was loaded. the last month has been great on the upper river from the falls to albany for large mouth and small mouth up to 4lbs last year we caugt fish all the way into december
      water temp down to 42. CANT CATCHEM IF YA DONT FISH FER UM.

      Report: Had a pretty good day. Fishing by myself caught 11 fish., 8 spots, 2 smallies, 1 largemouth. Best 5 would go for around 10 lbs (largemouth went about 2.5 lbs).Fished from Skiers Cove & South in narrows. Fished Robo curly tail (hologram shad) on split shot and drop shot, Robo worm (Warmouth)on darter head. All fish came between 20 & 40'Better fish came shallow and on the darter head.

      Tips: Be patient, fish at half the speed you like to fish at. If you don't get bit drag a split shot and small curly tail worm.

      Report: Bass action is slowing down a lot with the cooler weather. I dont have a tube so i cant reach where the bass have gone. Any tips on where and what to catch them off of.

      Report: Its been some tough fishing lately with fall upon us, but worked the lake for about hour and managed 3 bass in the small to medium range. I worked a drop shotted 4" plastic. All fish were released to fight another.

      Report: Took out 2 clients today down at Discovery Bay. We caught a total of 10 fish. Lost 6 and broke off one. Fish ran from 8 to 17lbs. Caught all fish on live bait. Did not try any artificials.

      Tips: Fish are on the move. If you don`t find them in one spot keep moving and you will run into them. Don`t wait for them to come to you.

      Report: First boat on the water at 7:30. We ended up with 12 bass and a couple of random crappie. Bass were mostly on large plastics Carolina rigged. Only one on the dropshot. Biggest was just under 4lbs. Nice day on the water.

      Report: I went fishing saturday for trout but almost no action all day, on green and rainbow powerbait. My friend got a 3lb trout near the swimming pool area of green powerbait and he lost about a 5-7lb there.

      Report: Hensley Lake is now open for boat launching on the camping side only.I fish for 8 hour and boated 20 fish. The biggest one was 3lbs. The fish are shallow.The fish are ghost white looking.

      Report: Well, I ran up to Berryessa with a client with the intent of doing a lot of searching (being the water is know starting to turn over)

      We launched out of Markley Cove and thus ran to Wraggs Canyon. Started on point's, Client Drop-shottin and I throwing a brown/208TwinTailGrub 1/2oz jig. Point 1, nothin, Point 2, one hit at 35ft Jig. P3-4-5-6- All produced one fish on Drop-shottin around 20-25ft (Side's). Thing'in to myself OBoy the lake's on probably up North. Started to head North hitting the corner to the main lake, WOW, what's this 5-6ft roller's from the North,(Wragg's was dead calm, is the reason I left). Made it to Big Island and fished some outside point's, Noth'in. Went inside and fished a Small island and caught a 2 1/2lb smallmouth on a jig. fished all the way around it and caught noth'in. That's it we're out of here, down south we went and went between Little P and Portugue's Canyon and went up to this point and proceeded to put 6 fish in the boat in a matter of 30min. 1 on a jig and the rest on a Robo Arron's majic and a ???? worm. Tried the dam area Nothin. 5PM Quit.

      Caught probably a dozen fish inwhich 6 were keeper's.

      Tips: Fish looooooong extended point's. There's more fish on them than the short buttercut one's. Everyone of our fish came deep and off of medium shale. No big rock fish at all. If your look'in for jig fish, their there, You may have to cut down your skirt some, but I feel that you can get 5 quality fish by doing this over any drop-shot fish.

      Report: Launched out of Holland at 7am. Spent the morning fishing around the Middle River, and a little time in Old River. Caught about a dozen, biggest went 4.7. Best luck w/ a gold/gold dble willow white/chart blade. Had a few bite a brown/purple jig around pipes in Connection Slough. Also caught a few small ones on a watermelon-red senko. Water was surprisingly clear in Old River. Tried dropshotting several tule islands that had produced in the past, but no luck.

      Report: Fished for an hour after work from the shore, off the far end of the damn same as friday. Caught four bass off a small rainbow spinner, fish went from a pound to just under three pounds.

      Report: who says winter bass fishing suxs? NOT ME...
      it was a pretty good day. all my fish were caught on hardbaits. i tried them all suspending baits, shallow diving baits, ones with rattles and some with none.
      got into two two bass nice size, one trout, a sqaw fish on a crank bait, and missed another.
      well the one i missed was pretty good. felt like a someone tied my line to a 5 gallon jug and just dropped it, my line ripped a little and then i came unbuttoned. my heart broke down.
      all in all i can say i was glad to go.

      SOME JERK WAS WATCHING ME FISH, I DIDN'T MIND, BUT THEN WHEN I HHOKED UP INTO A FISH I DECIDED TO LET IT GO. IT WAS ABOUT 3 LBS (LARGEMOUTH),A BY STANDER TOLD ME NEXT TIME I RELEASE A FISH I SHOULD OFFER IT BEFORE I RELEASE IT. I WAS SHOCKED...
      I TOLD HIM I RELEASE BASS IF I FEEL LIKE IT. SOMEDAY I WANT MY CHILDERN TO BEABLE TO CATCH BASS LIKE THIS.
      next to him was a stringer of trout, about 8 or 9. i hate bank fisherman sometimes.....

      Report: Stayed at Sugar Loaf Resort from Nov1-5th.had a great time..Nice cabins, good launch ramp close and a slip to park when you come in for lunch..couldn't ask for more.

      Fishing was fair to good with the best fishing coming with the tuesday front. 15-20 keepers a day with lots of short fish in 35-50' near channel bends. Stayed in the Sac arm all week. Best fish went 3.5 on a popper in the am out in front of Sugar Loaf.

      2-5 topwater blowups every morning and were the better fish with most going 2+.

      Report: Here's another report from your fellow bankie from Sacramento. Started off fishing the Carson Arm by the campsites and scored 2 fish right away at 1# and 2# at one of the coves. Moved to the deeper points east of the spillway and scored 2 fish in a row 1# and 1.5#. Next three casts felt a good nip and set the hook on a submerged stick up. Next three casts hooked another fish, and a he was a fighter at 2#. After that, it went dead on the three points I was covering (plus trout fisherman were starting to move through, So I decided to hit the Lodge for a Largemouth (Cheeseburger & Fries) with a large Iced Tea. After I got done with lunch, hit the points west of the spillway, getting hits and misses. I lost one fish getting tangled in submerged stick-ups probably about 2.5# by the looks of him. As was starting to get bored with little to no hits (it was fairly windy too), I felt a tick and my rod tip lunged. Set the hook on an awesome kicker at almost 5lbs. Grabbed him, put water in the cooler and ran to the Lodge to show the ladies. I always forget the name of the lady that does the fishing reports up there. Anyways after showing everyone at the Lodge, I took a stroll down to the water

      Tips: I used the same patter from my last two trips. Baby Brush Hog in Pumpkin and Black. Also used a Black Cyberflexx Flippin' Tube from Terminator for a few of those fish. Drop-off's and points 5-15 feet deep were key. A lot of the stick-ups that have been gone for the past couple of years are starting to show themselves, and the bass are hiding in them. Each time I set the hook on good bites, I'd either end up getting snagged on the initial hook set, or getting snagged while fighting the fish.

      Report: Jim Ryan and I started out with some of the bass fisherman from Basin Bass Master at Bishop Slough in the early morning. Windy and cold, not the best day to be on the water. We fished Disapointment for most of the morning finding some small bass and stripers. The winds picked up as we were in Hocker Cut. We were cranking a orange/red/black rattle trap, black/blue flake senko worms, white/white spinner baits and some red/black also. We also used long black worms. High tide was at 9am and out going was at 10am, so work the tules at each end in the curents.
