Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: So i was at pleasure cove resort for the day and thought why not do some fishin'. so i grabbed a pole and headed down. a lot of bedded bass in the cove by the houseboats, and a few already paired. i was throwing a rat-l-trap and only caught one of them around 2#. they also took a liking to a black and red 3/8 oz. jig, so it was a good day especially fishing from shore. felt weird to cast to em' from shore lol

Water Temp: 60-65
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Like a report b4 me...drop shot with 4-5 inch robo worm. Toss out spinner, swim bait, lipless crankbait, n top water but no taker. Some spot(flats) was 65 temp but no taker on reaction bait. Lake water is so green n some points near the main lake had moss right off the bank. Cloves n water near the dam is clear. Even saw a few nice LMB at the dock b4 leaving. Bass fishing for 3 hrs n boat 5 bass, range from 2-3lbs.
Tips: would focus more on clear water nxt time in the water. Caught most of the fish in clear water. Miss n lost 4 fish. Bites now feels like winter bite...lite or just felt tension

Water Temp: 55-59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Markley around 1pm and headed for the Vineyards.
Partner threw 4" worms, all different colors d/s & Texas. I threw spinnerbaits, chatterbait, shallow cranks, jigs. Nada for both of us. Saw a few bass moving around and plenty of carp. Worked it from shallow to around 20'.
Around 5pm went over to the west side north of the big bridge. The wind was blowing algae onshore so the top couple feet were pretty thick; the water underneath was pretty clean. Got a 2# smallie on a split tail crawdad imitation on a standup jig - no skirt. Hit came in about 12' off a rocky outcropping.
Started working the windblown shoreline a little faster toward the bridge with a white spinnerbait, steady retrieve - no action. Decided to speed it up a bit and burn it through the algae and that did the trick. 7.5# LMB nailed the bait right at the boat. A couple casts later, a 3# Spot hit close to the boat. Snapped a few pics and let 'em go - both were full of eggs but the tails weren't worn down at all.
As the sun went behind the hills, we headed back to Markley with a stop in Haines. The water there was really clear (colder too) compared to up north. No luck here - called it a day.
City: NapaTips: Every once in a while, a big change in speed makes the difference. Too bad I forget sometimes.

Water Temp: 55-60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Redwood Empire Bass Club monthly tourney and found the spots and smallies on main lake rocky points in 10'-20' of water. Mostly drop shotting shad colored worms. Caught a limit by 9:30. Also caught fish on a tube and grub. Later headed into Putah Creek and culled most of our earlier fish on the drop shot and texas rigged worm. Check us out at www.rebc.net. Next month's tourney at Clear Lake.
City: Rohnert ParkTips: Used 6 lbs test fluorocarbon with 3/16 oz weight texas rig. Drop shot 6 lb test also. Most worms were 4"-5" with curly tails. Colors included pumpkin, sexy shad, pink and MM3. Lighter colors worked better than darker other than green pumpkin. Largemouths were relating to wood in the coves.

Water Temp: 55-58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished club tournament (REBC) out of Capell. 5 teams with limits; mine had 3, caught on dropshot (various roboworm colors; 4"). Main lake; 2 off vineyards in 18ft, 1 south of Goat off a secondary point in 8ft. Some guys got 'em cranking shallow, others on d/s on main lake points.
City: San RafaelTips: Drop shot main lake points in 10-20 feet. They're not really 'up' yet, but it's gotta be getting close... watch the weather (temps).

Water Temp: 51-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Lots of alge all over the lake in the north end. The bite was slow, although most of our fish were in ten to fifteen feet of water around trees. On our way back to the ramp we went to school house and pick up a nice spot.
City: NapaTips: Waiting for over night temps to maintain 50 deg and day time temps to maintain 68-72 deg and the all bass fishing will begin to EXPOLODE. Maybe by the April full moon we will be there. Keep fishing and good luck to all.

Tips: Keep fishing and the bite should get better.

Water Temp: 52-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started out the day at 7 am, very cold 36 degrees and water was 52. Tough bite as the fish were hitting short. Closed the day with about 10 misses and 4 boated. Biggest was just tad over 4 1/2 pounds. Total weight for the 4 was 12 pounds. All caught on Robo and ring worms carolina rigged. Water is a bit murky due to algae blooms.
City: SacramentoTips: Fish are not spawning yet and the water is still a bit cold. Fish submerged creek beds for the bigger fish in 15 to 20 feet of water.

Water Temp: 60-65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got out to a late start today. On the water by 10:30am. Caught 3 bass on drop shot and 1 on a crappie grub. One of the bass was 4+ and came unbuttoned right near the boat, heartbreaking for the first hour of the day. My brother caught a bass later on in the day on a minnow and dad caught one on a dt10 - both caught along a little rock wall. All bass were largemouth around 1.7 pounds.
Tips: A couple fish hit the drop shot on the way down. Use a lighter weight if it isn't windy. Don't waste time on steep banks that arent near spawning grounds. Fish are not in super shallow yet but are hanging out near spawning grounds in 7-14 ft of water. Water clarity is pretty different in parts of the lake

Water Temp: 50-54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of capel morning. There were about 35 float rafters/tubers out there holding a tournament. Tough day. Fished drop shot, wacky senko, crankbait, jigs, from 5-30 feet, mostly 20+. Only 3 small spotties. They were either shut mouth or they moved to 50 feet, which I should've fished. No wind.....maybe that's why it was so tough.

Water Temp: 51 - 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got a day in Thursday between storms, overcast but no wind. No luck with cranks but managed a nice limit on plastics in the afternoon.
Seems like SM at 20'- 30', LM & Spots <20'.
Looks like the Pensus Group was just awarded the concession rights to all 6 of the Marinas on the lake. Hope this works out, Berryessa E-News has all the details.
City: RichmondTips: Looks like prestaging starting.

Water Temp: 51-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went to get some time on the water in before all the fronts hit. Weather was not bad fog then overcast, did'nt help the water warm to much. Started off like last week with cranks and not much action, a couple of hits but no hookup. I noticed the the hits were coming in around 8ft of water. So I changed over to a suspending ripbait that was the change they wanted. It was a nice steady bite after that I cought 3 on one spot all the others were just one per area. Mostly SM with a few LM mixed in. Felt good to finally put together a reaction pattern this year. I only had 5 hours on the water had to leave at 1 with the bite getting better as the water warmed. All the fish were running 1.8-3lbs.9 fish total with the 5 biggest going 11 lbs.
City: VacavilleTips: The SM have started to stage all of them came on the outside edges of srawning areas. The LM were holding to the weeds. You needed decent water clarity for the rip to work. The upper end was to dirty with the southwind blowing all the stained water up there. Had to stay mid way up the main body on east and west shores. This lake is set to take off soon.

Water Temp: 55-59
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: We fished the narrows up into Wragg Canyon. The main body of water was up to 59. Inside Wraggs we found water as cold as 55. Wraggs had slightly stained water. The Narrows was clear especially by the dam. We were only able to scratch up a limit of small spots. 1 on a tube, 2 on a crank, and 2 on drop shot. Fish were 15-20 deep. As the above post stated, I was surprised more fish have not moved up yet...
City: Elk GroveTips: None, hoping more fish move up soon.

Water Temp: 53 - 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Saturday, 2/13/10 my buddy and I tried to launch at Capell cove. The parking lot was completely full and flowing over to the road by 8:30. We decided, along with another friend with his boat, to launch at one of the private ramps. Wow, the launch fee was $26.25! I asked about this high fee and was told it was set by the Bureau of Reclamations. I was hoping that after the other resorts open, the competition would lower the price. According to Berryessa E-News,
Tips: Fish on sunny side of rocky points using 4-inch worms. Keep changing colors to find one that works.

Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: First trip after the rains looks like the lake came up around 12ft withs very good water color. My plan for the day was to run with cranks all day and I stuck with it for most of the time. With the water color I started with a chart. and blue LC Flat 12. this produced only 2 fish in 2 hours of cranking one 2.25 and one 2.75lbs. Kind of a sirprize thought the crank bite would be better. Changed over to a Jackall muscle deep in a craw color this is a new bait for me and I have a feelinf this is going to be a good one only 1 fish on it after over a hour but it was a good one over 4 lbs. Decided to stop cranking for awhile and cought 4 on a mojo brushhog. best 5 around 11.5lbs.
City: VacavilleTips: Overall it was a tough bite with the weather and the rising water I thought the reaction bite would be on but I think they just have not really moved yet. They seem to be holding in a winter pattern but this will change soon. I have seen this before all the grass is now out in 12-20feet and the bass will stick in it until the water warms to around 57.

Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got out at 730am of Cappell.Ended up at 1pm with 10 fish.3 on jerkbaits-ima flit- and the rest dropshot. All but 1 d/s was on Robo warmouth color 4" and 6". Jerkbait fish were in less than 12' and d/s were 15' to 20'. We only fished to about the Big Island. No jig fish today(sorry Luke).
City: dixonTips: The water was lot clearer than 2 weeks before.

Water Temp: 48-51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fishing with a friend from Florida, who was interested in deep water fishing. The water was up 20ft, with some dark stain and a nasty mud line. We fished up and down the narrows just hitting the old sweet spots, found fish in over half of them, with the shad not being a factor today. After building up our confidence landing fish in 20 to 50 we drifted in 80 feet of water just to see if the fish were active out there and they were. When the sun came out I tried a green Robo worm with a purple bloodline to see if the smallies could find it in the deeper water, one crushed it within 10 minutes. If the rain slows down and the temp hits 55 the fishing here is going to be out of control. Most of our bites were soft, even the bigger fish were just taking the bait in, but not swimming off.
City: Rio VistaTips: Dont give up on your spots, fish them real slow and try something new when you fun fish. Be safe and God Bless

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: got 9 spots to 3lbs fishing from shore near the dam. good to see the lake rebounding! all of last year caught only skinny malnourished looking spots. slow with plastics was the key.
