Water Temp: 48.4 to 48.9
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My brother and I fished the Hook Tournament. Bite was slow, but good. First we went to an area that we had not tried in awhile. He got a 3.50# about 9:15 on a craw Timber Tiger. Bite was dead so we moved to an area near Franks about 11:45 and at 12:00 I got a 10.84# (PB) on a craw 1/4 oz SpeedTrap, it hit HARD. At 12:15 I got a 5# on the SpeedTrap. About 12:30 I got an 12+" on the speedTrap. Those were the only bites.
Tips: Try different baits, colors and speeds until you find one. I was thinking that shad colors would work best, but for us it was the craw colors.
Good luck

Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: No reports here lately. Guessing they would be like my report. Nothing!! Zilch!! Even the stripers have left Old River south. LMB have total lockjaw. Tried drop-shot, worms, lizards, crankbaits, lures, swim baits, punching, jigs. Tried lights colors, dark colors, fast, slow, 5 to 20' deep. Tried Old River, Italian Slough, Old River north, Mildred IS inside and outside, N. Victoria, S. Victoria, high tide, low tide.
Tips: Try my philosophy. "Bring a good lunch" and maybe a newspaper or Bassin magazine. Find a quite out of the wind spot and relax. Time to enjoy the scenery instead of just looking down at the water.

Water Temp: 52-53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got to Rivers End before seven but entire marina was so thick with hyacinth you could walk across it. Launched out of Tracy Oasis since we've never fished Grant Line Canal before and wanted to try some new water. Ran to the mouth of the canal where it meets Old River and had to stop. Again, hyacinth from bank to bank on Old River. Turned around and fished the incoming tide. Two stripers and one LMB on River2Sea S-Waver another LMB on LC200. Partner got a keeper striper on A-rig. I was going to keep him but ended up releasing him due to being too lazy to clean the fish. Other than that, pretty slow day.
City: San MateoTips: Wish I new! Also through shad and craw crank baits from 5-10', 3.5" to 5" AA Shad swim baits (got a few followers) and drop shot with no luck.

Water Temp: 53-56
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched B&W 730 AM. Fished the moke & little potato slough. Primarily threw black wadda jig with blue super chunk and brown wadda jig with purple pork, no fish landed. Tossed a drop shot roboworm and senko with no fish landed. Also tossed a red craw crank bait with no hits. Overall, very tough day on the ole delta! Not sure why I couldn't figure it out! Was I fishing slow enough?
City: FairfieldTips: Fish slow I guess!

Water Temp: 51-52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started at usual tule strips on the Moke around the corner from B&W. Threw cranks, spinnerbaits, and senkos....zip. Decided to throw a light Matzuo Kinshou on a spinning rig and a 20" striper hit... fun on the light gear. Nothing along the Moke so moved up to island outside of Sycamore...nothing there cept some duck hunters so we gave them some space. That was it for the rest of the day. Couldn't get anything to join us for breakfast or lunch so off the water by 130pm.
City: folsomTips: Nada.... would greatly appreciate some tips on what's hittin' now and where. Anyone?

Water Temp: 58-60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started around franks tract. Was surprised to see just how clear the water was. Saw several, fish in about 6 ft but could not get any to bite. Went to some islands down old river picked up several small fish but nothing big. All fish were on a crank. Tried flipping deeper weeds but no luck. Tough day not sure why.
City: elk groveTips: Wondering if last weeks 100 plus boat tournament and all the boats on the water today pressured the fish into lockjaw.

Water Temp: 62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Hey OttaB...thanx huge for the response and tip...I always wondered about doin' a rip retrieve with a crank...good stuff! Really appreciate it! If ya see a tracker 185 walkthrough with a couple guys and a yellow lab, that's me, my bro, and my pooch buddy!
Anywways, for the report, my brother and I launched 6:15 at B&W and just worked the Moke down toward Tower. Slack tide was real still so we threw topwater...bro threw a spook and I threw an Ish frog.... lots of blowups but couldn't hold the bite, so I tied a clown/clear spook on...bro already had 3. Immediately got a violent blowup and it was a 23" striper. From then on, it was junk fishing for about an hour and a half. Decided to look for moving water and went up to Sycamore. Water was real muddy so went just outside Sycamore on main channel to find some moving water. I immediately hooked up a couple 1-2lbers on red craw RedEye shad, bro tied on a DD22 in what looked like a Tenn Shad, picked up 4 2lbers in about 40 mins. We kept jumping back and forth on either rock wall/tules and throwing deep divers...I didn't get much, just a few barely keepers, but my bro picked up about 6 more 1, 2, and 3lbers on his deep diver. Dang, just didn't work for me but now I'm tyin' on deep divers just to catch one!
City: folsomTips: Like OttaB says, look for moving water, which when we found it, our hit percentage increased. Since I didn't hit as much, I have no real tips. But according to my bro, he would cast diag to tules, then slowly work a deep diver across the weedline and pause on contact, then rip it through. They'd hit on the pause or the rip. Dang, I gotta practice!

Water Temp: 62-65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Another late start out of Orwood at 7:30. Cold but not as cold as I thought it would be. Fished top water on the north/south cut just past the bridge to the north but no takers. Little further north got shaker striper and a dink + a few more blow ups.
Started fishing tule island points with S-waver, Arashi Storm and still no takers. Couple keepers on jerk bait in Mildred Island. Left Mildred at 12:45 and the wind started howling. Tucked into Disco Bay and caught 3 more keepers on drop shot. 10 in the boat but only 5 would have kept. Best was only 2lbs 6ozs.
All in all pretty slow disappointing day. I'm guessing there was a fast moving front that moved through the region and it shut down the bite?
City: San MateoTips: When the wind kicks up duck into Disco Bay and flip the docks.
I thought the shad patterns would be the key by this time but I was wrong. Should have switched to bluegill or craw at some point. Best bites were on Roboworm Pumpkin Punisher.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Deepv... I was using the red craw color. I was fishing it around tulle points that had grass around them. Casting it out, steady retrieve, but was working my rod like a jerk bait. Never stopped reeling just jerk, jerk. It gave the lure a nice action.

Report: Hey OttaB....what color Arashi were you using?
I think only ones I have are the red and rusty craw, which have produced but on par with my red eye shads. Maybe it's where i'm presenting them. Any insight is helpful and appreciated!
Thanx!

City: folsomTips: none, I'm trying OttaB's on Sat and Sun.

Water Temp: 63-65
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: launched out of paradise predawn. Nothing until the sun started to rise. Popping frogs and crank baits. First time trying the new Arashi square bill and the bass were inhaling it. One fish had the whole lure in its mouth and not a single hook was stuck, still got it to the boat. I even got a few stripers in it. The frog bite was not as good as it has been but still got some decent fish. Flipping brush hogs produced some but nothing big.
After slack tide action slowed. The wind that picked up around Mildred isl. didn't help matters either. Off the water by 1.
City: elk groveTips: The best locations I found were the sparse tulle points that had some current, whether it was from wind or tide. Always throw back to a spot with a different bait. I was getting multiple fish off points some with a crank and then a brush hog.

Water Temp: 61.7
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched B&W around 6:45am and started down the Moke throwing lipless cranks. Brother immediately picked up a 1.5lber and then 2 more solid 2.5lbers. For every solid keeper my bro landed, I hooked a dink or barely keeper. Tried senko's but only managed more dinks. My bro stayed with his lipless as well as a speedtrap, both in craw with orange belly. Don't know how many, but he finished the day with a bunch of 1 and 2 lbers and I finished with as many dinks. Not one keeper for me today. Oh well!
City: folsomTips: Whether low tide, incoming, or high tide, my brother threw to the tules and got hit at the weedlines. That was his pattern. I tried it, but just didn't work for me. I had no pattern...had no luck today. But still a good day for my big bro.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Russo's at 630 went north to Georgiana Slough. Found a 50' dock where the fish were stacked up. Lost count on how many fish we caught there. For a while it was a fish every cast. Most of the fish were 1.5 to 2+ biggest was 5.3. Did catch a nice 2+ Smallie. 6" plastic worms either watermelon red or green pumpkin. Off the water at 3. Btwn two of us 50-60 fish

Water Temp: 68-70
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Tried way north today. Went to Snodgrass before first light. Buzz bait bite was really nice. First stop got 4 fish 2-4lbs. Cranked a square bill for a while but only a few small takers. Moved farther in when the sun was higher and marked tons of bait. cranked wind blown weed bed for quite a few fish from 8"-3lbs. Sad to say the top water bite was gone. Off the water by 12. Not a bad day for a short trip.

Water Temp: 65-70
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Orwood at 7AM. Got a couple on topwater within the first hour. Fished shallow cranks, jerk baits and LV200 but no takers. Switched to drop shot and caught em that way for the rest of the day. 12 keepers in the boat for two of us but nothing over 2lbs. Tons of dinks and missed tons more both on drop shot plus two punching.
City: San MateoTips: Learn how to use a fairy wand. I didn't until last week and didn't realize what I was missing. Bit almost every Roboworm I had: Mean Green, Pumpkin Punisher, MMIII, Aaron's Magic.

Water Temp: 69-71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: went out sun. Weather channel said clear sky and warm. That's what I get for trusting the weather service. Morning was cold, overcast, and breezy. Weather aside, with the storm the day before there was no top water bite for us. After the water dropped and exposed some of the deeper weed lines and the sun made its way out the flip bite was on. Lots of fish but very few but in the 2lb or higher class. the better fish came off weeds where there is a big drop off right against the weed line.
City: elk groveTips: If yesterday was any indication, after a storm back off and look for the first cover in deeper water. Still looking for where the bigger ones go!

Water Temp: 72 - 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Wednesday 9-18-13, my buddy and I launched out of Holland Riverside Marina (6:30 AM) at high tide. Right outside the marina, we started catching small keepers. Almost all fish were caught on sparse Tule points and up to 50 feet on both sides of these points. The bite was consistent but slow until low tide. During low slack tide, we moved to the outside of Mildred’s Island. The bite picked up again a little after the tide started moving in. The same pattern fished earlier held. However, we were catching many more dinks. By 4:30, we had over 30 fish with only about a third of them keepers. The larges keeper was only about 2½ lbs. About half of the fish were caught using Wacky-style Senkos on a heavy-duty drop-shot rig. The other half were caught drop-shotting six in. RoboWorms.
City: PinoleTips: Tule points produce many more fish than long stretches of tules.

Water Temp: Forgot to check
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Orwood at 7:30. Nailed a 3lb 14oz on top water (Sammy, bluegill) 3rd cast. Sadly it was all downhill from there. 6 keepers in the boat for two of us. Countless dinks. Wind picked up around late morning which just made things worse.
City: San MateoTips: Get out before the wind picks up.

Water Temp: 74
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Orwood at 6:00am on first light. Tide was low, bottoming out at 8:45.
I fished until 12:30 around the south and eastern sloughs of Woodward Islad. 16 fish, half dinks, half keepers. Biggest to 2 lbs.
Early morning, caught dinks and keepers on shallow squarebills bouncing off inner weed lines or right up against tules. Early morning fish were really shallow, despite being low tide. Topwater and the outer weed edge were all unproductive in this situation.
Later in the day after the slack, I caught the remaining fish on reaction bites with swim jigs and various depth crankbaits. The young ones were active. Other fisherman reported the same lack of bigger fish
