Report: Bank fished east delta today from 7-11am. Caught 7 greenies to 3.5lbs & two bonus stripers. Couple came on spinnerbaits, couple came on jerk baits including the stripers, rest came on creature bait fished texas rigged on a 1/2 ounce bullet aeight.
    City: Oakland

Tips: How to fish senkos in delta?

I always fish em weightless or carolina rigged in lakes so I do the same in the delta but the current seems to drift it into weedz before the pocket. How do yall fish em? Texas rigged with bullet weights? Wont that mess up the action?

Report: Went out of B&W and headed upriver towards Sycamore. Fished from 8-3 and caught 23 to 3.8. All in all a good day. A little wind helped a lot.

Tips: They were on the flats and hitting in the weeds in 4-5 ft near deeper water. Most came on red rattletrap but also hit spinnerbaits, jerk baits and senkos. They're moving up!

  • Water Temp: 56-59

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Friday they were picking up dark color Senkos during the outgoing tide. I had an awesome bite for about 1 hour (2-4lb fish). Tues I went back to the same place and nothing was happening - I got some bites dead sticking a Senko. Then the weather got worse and the fishing got better as the tide bottomed out. I started catching fish in moving water off points with a swimbait. 1-3lb fish.

Tips: Fish shallow protected areas with plastics.
Fish moving water (cuts and points) with jerkbaits swmibaits

Report: Checkout the results from the TOC for the hook Line & Sinker from Saturday and Sunday. Saturday 7 teams had 20#+ (27.63# highest) and Sunday 4 teams had 30#+ (34.07 highest). Most teams said that on Sunday the bite had changed to a SLOW Senko bite.

Tips: If you have an area that you know has fish, stay there until the fish eat. Fish VERY SLOW. They have not moved up yet. Best depth appears to be 8' to 14'

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished middle delta, pretty slow altogether. Caught a total of 12 fish one 4+ a couple of 3's and a few 2's. Caught a couple each on red cranks, spinnerbaits, one on a Senko, The brown jig was the ticket, as Shasta Dan taught me.. fished the bank out to 15 ft, found the best fishing in the back of a slough about 6 ft on the jig.
    City: Delta

Tips: Not sure, but I'd be throwing the jig all day next trip. It's going to get rolling very soon if the weather holds.

  • Water Temp: 57-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Can you say 'skunk'? Launched about 745am from B&W and went directly around the corner to our fav tule strips and dock and tried senkos, jigs, cranks. 1st skunk. Headed to our fav island just outside of Sycamore working same presentations. 2nd skunk. moved down to Frank's Tract and fished the tules and rock wall. 3rd and final skunk with exception of a couple of tics from some little bait stealers nipping at my senko...bit one in half when I thought I had a hit and tried to set the hook. No action today. Saw lots of bassboat trailers at B&W but saw only 2 bass boats in the mokulemne. Saw plenty more down by Frank's but don't know if anyone caught. Very windy...par for the course when it's like this!
    City: folsom

Tips: aboluly none! would love to hear from anyone who did catch. oh, we met up with one boat who launched before us at pirate's lair and they said they had 4 on chatterbait. saw them after we trailered and they had 5total for the day. that's the only report we got.

    Water Temp: 58 - 59

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Friday 3-15-13, my buddy and I launched at 8:30 AM from Rossos with a high outgoing tide. All day, we stayed in the area of Frank’s Track. On my first cast, I hooked and lost a fish. I guess it was good luck that I lost this fish, since; we continued to consistently catch fish until about 10:30 when the lower tide turned the bite off. All fish were caught on dark colored Senkos. I rigged mine Texas style and my buddy rigged his wacky style. Both rigs worked equally well. The fish were caught at the entrance to cuts, on the ends of islands and along tule covered shoreline. We ended the day at 5:00 PM with 28 fish. Our best 5 fish weighted 5 lb 12 oz, 4:13, 3:13, 3:8, 3:6 for a total of 19 lb 6 oz.
    City: Pinole

Tips: The fish are there to be caught but the tide has to right.

    Water Temp: 56.5-58.2

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched my custom rebuilt nitro out of Russos today and fished all my buddy's good spots near franks throwing all his fav baits and did pretty good. I could not find a pattern out for myself so I just did everything that he does and fished all the spots that he showed me. Caught all my fish on spinning rods throwing the a rig. Biggest was a 5 lb stripper that made me excited. Tight lines and good luck out there.
    City: Dub town

Tips: I really need to learn the delta better and learn how to throw a bait caster.

Report: There is always the debate of legal and limits. The bottom line is the more bass killed in the delta legal or not, hurts the bass population in that area period. When bass are hauled out in buckets the legal limit issue is all for not. Dead is dead. Kill today and dont catch tomorrow.

Report: REALLY!!! Why does the race/ethnicity thing always have to come up. We are all fishermen, outdoorsmen, hunters, etc. so lets leave the race/ethnicity thing out. Please do catch and release, but if you want to keep a fish, it's legal to do so, and you're keeping it legally the regulations have your side. Just because some people prefer to strictly practice catch and release they shouldn't impose/coerce their beliefs onto others, but rather educate. Those that have a problem with people catching and keeping fish go read the REGULATIONS. It's pretty much straight foreward for bass. If you still have a problem then why don't you take the proper actions to make changes to the regulations rather then bash on people, race, ethnicity, etc. online?

Tips: Get over the race/ethnicity thing. Shut your mouth and fish. If you have a problem fix it legally.

    Report: Hey Guys,
There is no reason to hate. As long as they're playing by the rules, there's no reason why these guys shouldn't be able to keep their catch. If DFG impose a size limit like sturgeon than I would have a problem. Wouldn't y'all agree!
    City: SeafoodCity

Tips: Don't get pissed off if someone else catch bigger fish than you do.

Report: Bank fished east delta today. 8am - 1pm. Steady bite most of the day. 19 bass..shakers-6lbs..average 2lbs..slow rolled spinnerbaits and dead stick senkos..All fished released but next outing will keep limit due to comment below.
    City: Oakland

Tips: If they were doing things legal, then its all good. If not, report it to caltip. You aint the dfw and you didnt make the laws so quit hating on people who keep fish legally. I c&r majority of the time but comments likes yours just makes me keep & kill a big bass and release big carps just to piss yah off. To think your opinion rules over the laws is ignornace.

Report: Why is it that bass fisherman feels like there entitled to special rules and regulation? I dont see this kind of pressure from trout anglers who keep their catch. Are they not subjected to the same rule? Folks just need to understand that this is just a hobby, something to take us away from the daily life. Why does it bother someone so much that another person is keeping their catch? Sound like a douche too me... worry about catching your own and stop looking to put race in the mix... another internet tough guy wannabe

    Water Temp: 53-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished with my buddy "Worm" on Friday and Sunday. We fished out of Russo's on Friday and mainly fished around Franks Tract. We didn't start getting them until we fished the lee side of the tullies - Dark colored Senkos did the trick, nothing big but lots of fish in the 2-2.5lb range. Today we fished out of Lauritezens and fished Sherman and Big Break for stripers and Black Bass. Worm was getting bit consistently junk fishing - I couldn't get bit on a dark Senko, then I switched to Chartrues and White and got 3 nice fish in 10 minutes (biggest 4.5lbs). We also had some striper action. The afternoon weather was beautiful!
    City: Concord

Tips: Get out there and fish! the water is warming up and the fish are getting active!

    Water Temp: 56-58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Splashed the tubes with my bro and immediately stuck a 6 pound fish on a senko. Ended up with 19 pounds all on the same bait. No crank fish. Fished Taylor and got an 18 pound carp on a zipper worm (first for me). Those things fight like hell. Thought it was a huge bass until I saw orange.
    City: Concord

Tips: Deadstick your senko for a bit on the bottom and lather it up with pro-cure. Most bites were not felt until I picked it up. Texas weightless is the way for me. Fish seem to be grouped up.

    Water Temp: 53-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Big Break. I started out exploring the back of the break in the shallows - no fish. Then I started flippn Senko type baits into tullies near deeper moving water and started catching fish. Biggest around 3lb. I caught some jerkbait fish and swimbait fish in shallow moving water. It was a great day, considering the reports of 35mph winds expected. They never came, but I was off the water by 340pm.
    City: concord

Tips: There were no boats on the water today until 1pm. I had the place to myself. I caught my fish around the cuts in the tullies where the water can move in and out of the Break. Maybe the best tip is fish when nobody else is there!
