Report: Fished on my birthday for 3 hours. The fish gods smiled upon me. I had three in the boat in a little over an hour, including one 4 pounder. I caught them all on crank baits close to B&W. Nothing else worked. Tried: Senkos, Drop-Shot, and Spinner Bait.

Note to Tourney anglers, you don't own the water. Attempting to shoo me off a spot with hand signals will only result in a well casted crankbait up-side yo head Lol!!
    City: W.Sac

Tips: Prior to launching, the dock talk recommended: Chatter Baits, Buzz Baits, and Rattle traps. Being the contraian that I am; I did not throw any of them...I caught my fish on muddy exposed levees with trees. I really got geeked if I saw crawdad holes on the side of the levee. All my fish spit up Crawdad shells in my live-well.

    Water Temp: 55 - 57 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER!" out of Ladd's at 8:30 a.m. and was off the water by 3:00 p.m. Over all the bite was tough for me, my focus was to fish the back side of 14 Mile Slough between the marina and the bridge. It was top of the high tide starting the out going tide. Also the wind was blowing pretty good this morning making it tough to fish slowly. I decided at 12 noon to head for the sailboat club next to Ladd's and fish for the bass I know are spawning there. Saturday afternoon and evening I enjoyed fishing from the bank after work and cuaght 5 bass off the beds.

So for my last 3 hours I enjoyed catching the males (5 today up to 2.5 lbs) using my spinning rod and wacky zoom trick worms with nails for weight.

Also while in the cove I tossed my california swim jig and noticed the larger females were willing to follow my swimbait to the boat, but would not commit. When this weather finally stabilizes I believe the bite is going to explode.
    City: Stockton

Tips: Get out of the wind the best you can so you can fish. If fishing clear enough water look for the spawning beds.

Water Temp: 56.5 Sat and 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Mildred Saturday and Sunday. Very different bite each day.

Crazy topwater/reaction bite for striper for the first 45 minutes on Saturday. One big (10+ est) lost at the boat on the first cast. Fairly consistent 10" to 14" fish for the rest of the day with two 3 lbers thrown in. All caught on reaction baits.

Went out Sunday to get more of the morning striper bite but a sea lion cruised through just as we arrived. Not even a sniff for the first couple hours. Around 10:30 the bite started on dropshot and senkos with one reaction fish for a tease. Mostly 12-14" fish but two 4's on the Senko so that made it a good day and the predicted rain stayed away.

Report: Launched 8am from New Hope; light choc milk til we hit Sycamore area and into Mokulemne...straight to fav tule islands and dock..tried spinnerbaits, senkos, and cranks...ZIP. Worked our way back to just around the bend from Tower bridge and worked the islands...managed a 4.2lber on senko in 6ft in the weedline...full of eggs. Couldn't figure 'em out much less find 'em. Well not realy, graphed a bunch in 10-20ft but just couldn't figure out what they'd hit.

Tips: Not much other than try everything you know in cold, stained, whatever. Hope someone posts something that helps.

    Water Temp: 52 - 55 degress

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Luanched the custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's around 9 a.m. and was out by 2:30 p.m. Fished the main channel to LVW Marina in 14 Mile Slough and back. I was anticipating a windy day, but did not happen. I was ready to duck into the marina for cover. I managed 4 bass and 1 striper today. The first bass and the striper hit my 1 oz. spinnerbait slow rolling. 1 bass (big fish of the day about 4 lbs.) was cuaght in the main channel with a blk/blu jig along dropoff in 10 feet of water. Flipped on bass in marina using a chigger craw. the last bass was cuaght wacky rigging a zoom magnum trick worm in junebug color.
    City: Stockton

Tips: Keep changing up, no set pattern was found today. they did prefer rocks with tules.

    Water Temp: 54-57

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of new hope and fished the back sloughs of snodgrass and middle slough just dead sticking jerkbaits and only had 2 bites despite the storm a 3.3 lbr and a 5 lbr in the shallows. About noon fished near the delta crossing and had a few schoolie stripers on lipless cranks on the point. As i moved towards the crossing had a few short strikes and missed so threw out a cranky. Low and behold i was in to some of the best crappie the fish gods had to offer. A bunch of .5 lbrs and a few 1-1.25 lbrs.
    City: sacramento

Tips: Mother nature can drizzle all she wants but the tears of joy that the fish gods gave me today reminds me how it feels to be a kid again despite my aging appearance. Btw all fishes was released. Thank god!!!

    Water Temp: na

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Hey Kalihi Boy, no worries brudda...was still a good report for DV....kinda new you weren't talkin' about "low-tide", yeah? hahaha
Delta is starting to come on...hitting those sparse tules just like Mr. Barrack describes. Also the jerkbaits on the long pause has worked..used LC sp100 at least 20-30secs between twitches...all bites on the pause. but worked the sparse tules with dandy baits 3/8 and 1/2 oz slk and boops (craw). love the hits on the spinnerbaits. nothing on the dropshot but senkos on bps flick shimmy jigheads worked.
    City: folsom

Tips: working sparse tules just like b.b. when that shuts down, we go to cranks, jerkbaits and senkos. also hit a couple 2+lbers on jackall flickshake worms in junebug. worked about 10ft out from the weedlines down the drop-off. my boat is a deepv tracker and the trolling motor is only a 55lb...so we drift and racetrack back...always adds at least 1-2 more on the hook.

    Water Temp: 51-54

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Although the water temp dropped a little due to the weather, the bite has been great and consistent. Today's tide was great. All fish came from 3-10 ft of water. Biggest was a 5.6 lber. Had a huge swirl on a wake bait in the morning. Initially thought it was a striper but caught a bass nearby so it could've been a really good sized bass.
    City: Stockton

Tips: Fish are on ledges and drop-offs. Rocks and weeds are a plus.

    Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: kalihi boy: what lake are you referring to? you're on the delta report page.
anyway, tough bite on the delta today but managed to boat a few 2lbers. fished frank's and san joaquin up to b&w and down the mokulemne. no set pattern...5 on senko, 2 on white/chart spinnerbait, 1 on speedtrap, 1 on chatterbait with craw trailer. tough day on the delta.
    City: sacramento

Tips: favorite spots have fish. just have to keep trying different presentations. we tried one of our favorite rock walls in 8-10 ft outside the weedbeds. tried cranks and spinnerbaits. finally went back and worked it a 3rd time and dragged senkos from inside, over, then outside the weedline..i picked up 2, brother got 3. all 2lbers (or heavy 1s...lol) keep trying.

Report: Luanched the custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's around 9 a.m. and was out by 2 p.m. Ran out to light 19 to fish the area around Big Al's and then back towards the luanch ramp fishing the main channel points. Managed to catch 4 bass today(all hungry males). Used 7" straight tail Power Worms mojo shotting, Wacky 6" Red Senko, and a 1 oz. D&M Citrus Shad spinnerbait. All the bites were aggressive. I wish I could have stayed out all day with the approaching storm tomarrow. Good luck guys and be safe out there.
    City: Stockton

Tips: Rock walls with tules, points near deep water was the ticket today.

    Water Temp: 52 - 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Saturday 3-10-12, I fished from the back of my buddy’s boat on Disappointment slough. Strong wind made fishing tough except where there was some protection from it. No particular bait or color worked best. Fish were caught on baby brush hogs, wacky rigged Senkos and 6 inch RoboWorms drop-shot style. All of our fish were caught around points at the entrance to cuts or on the ends of islands. We ended the day with 9 fish. All were keepers with the largest going only 2¾ lbs.
    City: Pinole

Tips: Go fishing on days with not so much wind. The fish are there to be caught.

Picked up a jig 1/2oz.Brn.and started getting bites in 5 to 25 ft. The smallies seem to be in a spawn mode. We got 6 bites landed 5 up to 3lbs. Four smallies and two largemouth.

Hit Tule island and whiskey slough with no luck...Threw everything but the kitchen sink with no luck... Tried spinners, rattle traps and wacky rigged some senko's and weightless rigged some super flukes. No bites not a thing. I even threw a rod reel in the water...I guess I will need some help figuring out these waters in Cali...

    Water Temp: 54-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the east side of Delta in the afternoon. We had 4 strikes and only 4 in the boat. It was one of the most calm afternoons I have ever seen in March. Water was like glass the entire time. Our strikes came in about 6 to 8 feet of water... Water is still too cold for my tastes...
    City: Elk Grove

Tips: Caught all fish flippin plastics. No reaction bite even when the sun was down....

    Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I have been out 5 times in the last 2 weeks. One of the 5 days (2 weeks ago) the spinner bite was on! It was a windy afternoon. Yesterday I put in at Big break and it was Dead. We also put in at Orwood and Holland on other days. I talked to some guys prefishing for a tourney this weekend and they also reported No fish. It maybe because of the drop in water temp. We threw spinnerbaits, rattletraps, soft plastics and punched with sweet beaver...Nada. Maybe I'm fishing the wrong side of the Delta, If you are putting fish in the boat props to you, but I am not seeing much of a bite.
    City: Martinez

Tips: Keep going out. You can't catch fish from your couch!

    Water Temp: 53 - 56 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched the custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's about 9 a.m. and was off the water by 2 p.m. It's nice to be back on the water since I was sick in January and in February I was suffering from a very painful and humblng pinched sarotic nerve.

Today was more like a scouting trip going into 14 Mile Slough and checking different spots riprap & tules, tule islands, and checking the flats. I ran into a school of stripers that were hiting my california swim jig. I was only able to catch one bass (3 lbs.) using a D&M Citrus Shad spinnerbait 1 oz. around the tules. It was and incoming tide today.
    City: Stockton

Tips: with just 4 hours to fish today I had a little difficulty establishing a pattern, it was more like a junk fishing day for me, but it was fun especially with the stripers.
