Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started the day by railing o the stern!!! Slipped down to the south end and threw rogs, no luck. My Bud got slapped on his spook, but no ish. Started ishing the rocks & weeds on east side with a crank bait and brought our on board! The CL helped. Watched some guy pull a hog out o the weeds! NICE!! Water lice got thick so we moved by the damn. Cranked up another ive, and missed several, (2-3's and 6-2's). Had a great day on the lake. Please pack your trash.
City: WatsonvilleTips: Find large schools o rocky bottems and match lure to depth. Fat Free Tennessee Shad worked well at around 4'-6',(ish seemed to be 7'-10').

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: On a whim, the girlriend and I went camping at Coyote Sat aternoon with the intent o ishing Sunday morning. Tried ishing the south o the lake near the camp ground late a night but ound that the weeds were a bit o a problem with little/no light (lots o top water activity but not sure i they were bass). Tried throwing a Hula Grub but gave up ater 30 min to go back to camp with no luck rom the shore. Sun morning didn't get out till around 9:00am to the same spot. Lot's o top water activity but no luck on the south end o the lake. Decided to head to the damn and check the rest o the lake out (got there at 11:00am). 3rd cast rom the dam pulled in a 4.5lb bass on a jig (only ish or the day). Also bought a minnow/bait net but couldn't igure the darn thing out so no minnows. Let by noon satisied with the ish I caught. Spoke with some guys in tubes in the south end and several guys near the damn, but nobody was catching ish. Nice lake, I'll deinately come back again. Oh yeah, tried using a buzz bait in the south part but no luck (tip rom www.ichthy.com) I guess Nicolo is the only one catching ish on the lake.
City: SunnyvaleTips: When in doubt, look or the type o ood that the bass has locally and try to mimic it (color, size, etc). Saw plenty o crawdad's but no bait ish near shores so the jig caught one today.

Lots o water skiers and jet skiers on the water (one o which loated up to borrow my pliers to ix his ground wire) There were 3 guys about 10 yards away who brought in about 4 trout since they were there and said they were using the same bait as us. Oh well... We'll try again in a couple o weeks.

Water Temp: 62-67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Caught a two pounder on a chug bug around 7:30 on the southern end in the weed lats. Weeds were about 1-2 eet rom breaking the surace. Didn't catch anything until late aternoon around 2:30. The wind was really bad but we ocused on mudlines with spinnerbaits. This produced another two pounder right at the launch ramp. We turned around and headed back up to make another pass. Caught one more under a pound on a shallow crankbait. South o the ramp with spinnerbaits on the wind blown bank, I caught a 4lbr then another 4lbr on the next cast. Also caught a trout on a spinnerbait which ended up killing it in the end. Pete ended up catching one by the ramp while I was going up to get the car.
City: SalinasTips: The wind really sucks but it brought the ish up shallow. The weeds are still sparse so crainkbaits and rattletraps can be used shallow. Look or windy banks and mudlines.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: the last time i was here, the only thing i caught was a cold ! i showed up around 10:00 a.m. and didn't leave till 2:00 p.m. I COULDN'T BELEIVE THE FISHIN'!!! right o the bat i hooked a 4 pounder ! i was ishin with a castiac trout in about 20 t and worked it shallow. he NAILED it. i caught about 15 ish over a 100 t strech o shoerline. did i mentioned i was shore ishin' ?? i then went to a orange/brown jig with a black pork rog. what happened next blew my head o!! a MAMMOTH bass took the bait and was quick to make a run or it. he jumped twice and had me in ear that i was going to lose him ! i inally got him tired ater a brutal 10 minute ight. when all was said and done, i landed a 11.7 lb gargantuant ! ater a picture and a kiss on the lips, i let him go. ater that, i went home happy.
Tips: the bass are gettin ready to spawn i not already doing so. use split shotted or carolina rigged lizards, jigs resembling crawdads, and the castiac 4" swim bait. isherman's wherehouse has um. oh, ish in 20 to 5 t depths. start deep and work your way in, it looks like your raiding their nests. the males get real mad
