Report: Spent the weekend with the in-laws and got in on some great fishing. Started the weekend out right with the first fish going 6-14 on a x-rap (ghost minnow). Continued to catch 20 to 25 fish on the weekend, fished Saturday AM & PM and Sunday PM for a total of maybe 8 hours. Caught fish on everything from Robo worms, Senkos, Chatter baits, Rip Baits, jigs, and swimbaits. Had a blast catching a ton of 3 lbers. Had a really nice one get off right at the side of my yak that was well over 7 lbs. All I saw was a huge mouth as it surfaced beside me and spit my swimbait back at me.

Tips: Work senkos around the docks to catch a ton of fish. If you

Report: partner dan, and I killed them today. Dan Nailed a #7 on his second cast with a chatterbait, and then continued to knock the snotbubbles out of them for the next half an hour, he couldn't do any wrong with that damedable bait. No matter where he thru it, there was a big bass waiting for it. The smallest fish of the day went about #2, and there was only one of those. The bite cooled down after the early a.m., but picked up where it left off about 11.00 this time it was my turn, and I got them all, (cept) 1 on the same lookin chatterbait.
Only other fish came on a superfluke. Total for Dan 11 bass, for me 8, but I would love to get out fished like that any day of the week. all in all we had a #28 5 fish limit

Report: Headed out for another wet day on the lake. Started out first thing throwing the DT16 crank with no success. Tried up shollow on a windy flat bank with a spinner bait and again no success. I began to think that maybe 3 days of rain had turned them off. Jumped accross the lake to a steep bank and threw a 1/2oz hula grub and caught a nice 3 lber. Worked the jig for another hour or so on the same and similar steep drop offs with no more bites. Decided to end the day the same way I ended yesterday by throwing the deep crank bait. Worked it for about a half hour before I finally stuck a nice 4 lb 9 oz toad to end the day.
    City: Rocklin, CA

Tips: Slow bites but fish seemed to still be deep today. Both fish caught were in 12-20 feet of water. Try both shad and crawfish baits since those are the two main food for bass right now. Work one really good over a spot and then switch and try the other before leaving a spot.

Report: Headed out around 4:00pm hoping that the light showers might turn on some reactions bites. Launched at the main beach and started throwing a LV500 around the docks near the marina caught one small bass. Worked it all the way around the dam with out any more success. Decided to slow down and throw a senko around the docks with out any takers. started to rain pretty hard shortly before sun down. Tied on a Rapala DT16 in a shad color. Caught a nice 4.5 - 5.0 pounder on my fifth or sixth cast in about 20 feet of water. Caught another 3.0 near the dam. Got to dark to fish much more.
    City: Rocklin, CA

Tips: Should have thrown the deep diver earlier. Caught the two nice ones within about 10-15 minutes of each other before the darkness set in.

Report: Spent the afternoon at the in-laws. Able to get on the lake and fish from my kayak from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Started out throwing 1/2oz football Hula jig around the marina in 15 - 25ft, no takers and was bringing up lots of weeds. Decided to start throwing blades on the wind blown bank and around docks. One short strike but that was it. Finally decided to slow down and throw a senko around deeper docks near the dam. Caught a nice 3.5lb blackie. Still slow, continued to fish docks and caught two more 2.5 lbers. on the shady side of docks. Fished mostly deeper docks (8 - 15 feet).
    City: Rocklin, CA

Tips: Never really found a pattern other than dropping senkos on the shady side of deeper docks. Still waiting for the water to continue to warm and have them mover up shallow. Great day none the less.

    Water Temp: 63-67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Spent this weekend up at LOP, firt stop down at the club house revealed a number of beds around the boat docks and a big bed in front of the Golf Cart ramp. 2.5 pound buck gaurding that nest sucked a Senko in 1/2 second after it hit the water. Most beds were empty as I stopped at each park on the way to my house. There in our cove, I could also see empty beds out in the middle of the elodia grass, all through out the cove. Caught a few little bucks on the same Senko around the three docks. Then got out on the water and was amazed at the number of empty beds all over the cove. Ventured out to the bouy line where the Hydrilla was touching the surface and commenced ta whack em on Senkos, the 9L 021 (black/Blue) was the ticket. A few fish would hit the 222(Xmas Tree) and the 208(watermelon Red), but they couldn't lay off the 021. Purty good group of "post spawn" fish hangin in this weed bed, biggest went to about 3.5 pounds. Sunday morning got up and went out in the pouring down rain storm, fish were still there in those weed beds, only a LOT more active. Fished all around the south end along the bouys and in 3 hours caught over 60 bass and went through 8 bags of SENKOS (Thank God fer my sponorship!) I then venture further out into about 12-16 foot in the middle and began to bounce a texas rigged Yammy Kreature in 021 as well, I found the big girls. Caught seven fish between 6-8 pounds on that Kreature, all of them, were pre-spawners and full of eggs. Gotta just love the sight of those fat, clearwater, grass living, pure Northern strain bass, absolutely gorgeous fish, who prolly never see a SENKO!
    City: Oakley

Tips: Seems all the smaller fish in that 1-4 pound range have already spawned and are hunkered in the taller hyrdrilla beds. The big girls have seem to be a little more preferential about moving up to spawn as they are out deeper in the middle of the lake, and still fat and full of eggs!

Report: Was lucky enough to get on this awesome lake last week. Absolutely blistered them with 50+ fish in 6 hours of fishing. Biggest was 7'2, with the average fish going 2 1/2 or so. Best five went 22#'s. Fish were up shallow and wanted the bait moving fast. Topwater, swimbaits, traps, didn't really matter. Saw a few bed fish. Great time.

Report: Started ishing about 9:00 and hooked a 4.3 wright o the bat. New thiswas going to be a good day. A little while later caught a 3.1 those were onspinnerbait. Fished another hour and hooked a 6.5 I was glad there were noskiers on the water to wreck my day. As the day went on a number o 1.5 to 2.5were taken. I put on a rattle trap and bang a 6.7 hit. inished the day withanother 4.7 and that was the day I almost stayed home.
    City: Auburn

Tips: I your not hitting the bottom your going to ast. Traps try to keep themjust above the weeds. One more thing I should mention . when you through yourlure in it helps to dart them on the head.

Report: Went to grams with my pops today, he watched the Niners, I knew better and went out ishing. Checked some o my local hot spots o the rock pile, there is still a bunch o deep grass growing in 18-25 eet, but I could not coax any ish on the jig. As I was moving accross the lake in my 10' stump jumper I stuck about a 4-5 pounder out in the midle o nowhere in about 30 eet, hmm okay a pattern, honey whole....NOT! Only that Kamakazi. THen cruised over to a another avorite spot and bingo, ound em stacked out on the ends o the docks in about 18 oot. Good solid 4-5 pounders caught 8 ish on the 1/2 oz brown jig with blue pork. Dang these gin clear water ish are purty! Then headed back to ind out the Niners lost, see, good move on my part, my pops was pissed, a real bear to ride home with. Cooch
