Water Temp: Mid 60s
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Awesome fishing day today. 97 fish for 3 people in our boat. Mixed bass and mixed size from dinks to over 3 pounds. Lots of baits worked, from spinnerbaits and rip baits to jigs and drop shot. Winner bait turned out to be 4-6inch robo worms rigged texas style with open hook on 1/32oz crappie jigs. The slow drop really worked on them.
City: ChicoTips: Broken rocky banks and rock slides produced the most, as did any submerged vegitation/trees and debry mats. From right up tight to the shore, to 25-30 feet deep. No rhyme or reason to the size vs. depth.

Water Temp: 60-64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Great day of fishing with wife and 27 year old son. Fished from about 8-8. 50 plus fish for me (not counting dinks) with 7 over the slot. Wife and son totally lost count but had to be over 100 fish in the boat today. Caught all 3 species today. Spots and smallies on boulders/chunk rock and largemouth in the trees/brush in shallower water.
City: RenoTips: Fished the wind blown banks in the afternoon for some great action using small tubes. We lost more fish than we boated fishing ultra-light (4# test). They were inhaling wacky senkos (with o-ring, #2 hook, and split shot) early and late.

Report: The action is heating up right along with the water temp. My clients yesterday took some nice females that were droping eggs. Got them back in the water to finish their business. The banks loaded up over the weekend after the heat wave and now the bass are ready to feed and to spawn. Took them on the useuall, senkos, drop shot, worms, reation baits as well.

Caught 20-30 fish with the usual Senkos and Roboworms(biggest a three plus lb largemouth). We caught fish anywhere from the bank to twenty feet deep. Lastly would like to thank Bass tackle depot in Oroville for setting us up with the tackle for the day.

Water Temp: 50-57
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Last three trips out my clients have done really well as the lake temp is on the rise as also the lake now at 25 feet from the top. With bags from 11-lbs to 15 lbs and Tuesdays bag at around 14 lbs with a nice spot at 4 lbs. Reaction baits were working early but most of the bites coming from worms, senkos and drop shots. This is the week we have been waiting for, it is all turning on with these warm days and nights. Overnight temp was 56 degrees. There will be even greater movement now into the shallows. Along with the nice females a lot of smaller males are biting as well and some of the male have been close to 2 lbs.
City: ParadiseTips: Up to this point the bass have been somewhat scatered, but with the warmer water they will start to school up. The 100 fish days are around the corner.

Water Temp: 45-50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: This last week we have seen the lake warm up to 53 in the afternoon and the bite has increased because of it. It has warmed all week but most of the bites came early in the morning in the first two hours of light and mostly on reaction baits. The A-rig continues to be a fish finder and also rip baits on points were working as well. In the afternoon jigs, worms, tubes, fineese jigs, swim jigs, drop shots were all working in water 2ft to 15ft, In the late morning and early afternoon you had to go down to 30ft.plus to get bit. Of coarse there were a few exceptions of bass chasing bait up to the bank in places in the late morning. The South Fork remains the warmest as it does this time of the year and any south facing bank on the lake will warm up for the afternoon. The Middle Fork is the clearest of the forks and fishing well as also the West Branch. The main body is fishing good early and late afternoon.

Water Temp: 45-53
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished this last week and the Anglers Choice Tournament on the 4th. The pattern that fished the best was the reaction baits. The wind blew most of the week as it did on Sat. Rip baits and the Alabama Rigs worked great on the points and in shallow areas where females were cruzing looking for food and getting ready to spawn. Lots of bass on wall leading into coves as they are staging for the spawn. We ended up with 11.32 but top wieght was 17lbs+. Two large mouth came in over 6lbs. Jigs, drop shot, worm, senkos, blades, beavers all worked as well.

Water Temp: Not sure
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I tagged along with Mike Sperbeck yesterday, checking out the bite - and because we love north wind!! Yea, right. Post-front fishing conditions were not the best, but the bite was ok - at least for him! We caught about 18 and he caught most of them - an off day for me. We had 2 smaller ones and the rest from 14 inches to near 3 lbs. One of them was a largemouth. I thought our best 5 was ok considering the weather - maybe 12 1/2 lbs. We hadn't been there for several weeks.
City: Yuba CityTips: He may fish an upcoming tournament, so I won't say much else. We did find concentrations of bass in certain areas, and nothing in other areas. As is normal in winter fishing, do your homework. Check out different structures, depths, and presentations. By mid-Feb, the location and type of bite will change more from day to day and from morning to afternoon.

Water Temp: 44-50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Great to have winter here finally. This storm brought the lake level up which is awesome for the first storm of the year. With that much water intering the system the incoming water pattern was one I wanted to try Sat. It was a great pattern and bass were chaseing bait fish in the muddy water. We were throwing blades had bumps but no comentments so we went to drop shot and finesse jigs to pop some nice 2 1/2 to 3 lb spots. Great day

Water Temp: 47-51
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fishing has been really good with this clear water. 9 1/2 lb. to 11 lb. bags on average using worms, jigs, tubes, senko's. In low light conditons the reation bite has been good with crank and rip baits. Finding bass in shallow water and deep, from 5ft. to 60ft. Some bass now going into coves while others are staging and still others are chasing bait fish in 60 feet of water.
City: ParadiseTips: Keep changing patterns until you find the one that is working that day in that area of the lake. Colors are changing day to day and also during the day.

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Actually the slot limit on Oroville for bass is 12-15 inches, not 14. You can double check this on dfg.ca.gov. Also if you are a game warden you should know the regs and not give false limit sizes.(looks unprofessional and makes people, well, keep short fish)
