    Water Temp: 53-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at sunrise around 6:45 out of the spillway with a slight breeze and lightly overcast skies.

Fished the south fork past second bridge morning into early afternoon. Landed 20 drop shotting 4" natural shad, oxblood, and morning dawn worms. Nothing noteworthy on size. Only 2 over the slot.

Was catching them more in groups of 2-3 than usual. Small coves produced well. Almost all the fish caught were in about 20' of water. With a few in 10-15 near the backs of the coves. I was taking it real slow and giving it a few shakes then letting it sit a second or two between reels.

Tried some 6" worms on dartheads without any luck, and some hula grubs in various colors that I've killed them with before but had zero luck with either. Perhaps if i had slowed down the presentation on those it woulda helped.
    City: Chico

Tips: As usual wind picked up in the afternoon. Found a good stack of fish along a bank the wind was blowing into. Also found the most fish along small to medium chunk or dirt bottom. Didn't catch a one on any of the larger or steep rock.

    Water Temp: 51 to 54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of the spillway at 8:30am-Windy, Windy, Windy. Headed up the south fork under the second bridge. Started out crankin rock walls and had 2 slot fish in the first 5 minutes. Partner nailed a 3lb spot on a jig in about 20 feet. Nice fish! Wind got pretty bad so we started dragging a split shot. Resulted in lots of clone fish in the slot. 3lber was the highlight of the day. Talked to a couple of guys who had a 5 lb smallie on a spinnerbait and a 6lb largemouth on a live crawdad.
    City: Sacto

Tips: As always, natural colors on this lake. Crankbait was the exception. Was throwing a citrus shad crank. Incoming water looked quite tempting so I fished all I could find-no fish-pretty cold though, temp around incoming was around 50-51. Fish are active though. Won't be long once the weather warms up.

Report: In at Limesaddle at 11:00am out at 4:30 with 13 fish landed.Ripped three on a clown Pointer 100,a 2.5 largemouth the only good reaction fish. Two good fish landed at northfork point on a pumpkin spidergrub but no overs.Picked up the rest of the bites in dark canyon on secondary points using an oxblood split-shot worm at 15 to 22 feet.Incoming water was 50 degrees and resulted in no pick-ups.All the fish on plastics were pressure bites. We seemed to mark the most bait and fish about half way into the coves fished.A week of sun and the north end should produce good numbers.Light colored shale rock held the most fish today.

Report: WE HAD THE BEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR. THE BEST IS STILL YET TO COME. I THINK AARON AND I CAUGHT ABOUT 20, GIVE OR TAKE A FEW. ABOUT FIVE OR SIX OF THOSE WERE BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3 POUNDS. MOST FISH CAME ON A DARTERHEAD WORM, VARIOUS COLORS AND SIZES. AARON HAD A 6" PURPLE WORM HE WAS THROWING WITHOUT MUCH SECCESS, HE THREW IT ON THE DECK AND SAID "I DON'T THINK THAT WORKS", I PICKED IT UP AND CAUGHT ABOUT THREE NICE FISH ON A FLAT WITHIN 15 MINUTES. hE LOOKED AT ME AND SAID "OK, YOU PROVED YOUR POINT" WE CAUGHT A COUPLE ON BLADES, AND ONE NICE ONE ON A JIG. THE FISHING WAS GOOD, BUT IT'S GOING TO GET ALLOT BETTER. THE BEST PART OF THE TRIP IS BEING OUT THERE WITH A FRIEND TELLING STORIES AND LAUGHING. AARON GOT A GOOD LAUGH AT ME FOR GETTING STARTLED WHEN A BASS JUMPED OUT OF THE WATER AFTER MY WORM AS I WAS PICKING IT OUT OF THE WATER. I DID JUMP, BUT IT LOOKED LIKE IT MIGHT FLY UP OUT OF THE WATER AND GRAB ME BY THE NOSE. IT WAS OVERCAST AND WARM MOST OF THE DAY. WE FISHED FROM ABOUT 8:00 TO 5:00. GOOD FISHING, GOOD FUN, GOOD FOOD ALL DAY. YOU CAN'T ASK FOR MORE THAN THAT. THANKS FOR THE GREAT TIME AARON.
    City: SACRAMENTO

Tips: MORE FISH SEEMED TO BE UP ON THE FLATS, IN ABOUT 6 TO 15 FEET. THE STEEP ROCKS WERE A LITTLE SLOWER FOR US.

    Water Temp: 50 - 52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I had the pleasure to fish the Elk Grove Bass Tournament at Oroville February 19th. It was a tough day on the lake that started out with beautiful sunshine and ended with rain, rain, rain. I did get on fish at my first spot at about 7:15am with one almost 15" in the boat on a crankbait. I missed 3 later on a jig, one while I enjoyed lunch in one hand. I had a great time fishing even though I didn't get to weigh in any fish, and enjoyed talking with the guys who were there early in the morning before sign up started. I missed the name of the guy next to me with the Ranger that had the pirate flag, but get hold of me sometime to fish if you are reading this!
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Yellow cranks and watermelon jigs were the only thing I got bit on!

    Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: After a sad, slow day on the delta on Sun., I headed to Oroville for what I hoped would be another great fishing trip. Very cold and the reaction bite had slowed, but the jig bite was crazy. Fish were still in the top 20 feet and were really thumping the jig when they ate it. The drop shot bite slowed considerably, but I figured it would with the cold front. It just seemed like the fish wanted the bait worked right to them and then they would jump on it. Flats and slow tapering banks were the best, though we did catch some good fish on the steeper banks in Potter's. Best 5 went 12'14 and big fish was 2'14. Had at least 10 over 15 inches.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Once again, not one fish under 13 inches. I can't believe how awesome the quality has gotten at Oroville. My buddy has a tourney there next week. Will be interesting to see what kind of weights roll in.

    Water Temp: 50.8

Report: Fished out of Lime Saddle on the water at 6:45am and fished the west branch for a few hrs. Fishing was slow caught 1-2.5lb bass and 3- 1.5lb
then fished the north fork and caught 1-2.5 and 1-2lb and 6 or 8 1.5-1.75 lb.
Fished plastics in greens and browns, worms, grubs, and U-tails. Fish were caught in 20'-35'from mud banks or large rocks. Action was very slow and it is hard to say that the fish were in 1 type of area. Today was another tournament and there were lots of boats. Everyone was saying how slow the bite was. We totaled 18-20 fish 8-10 each and would have had 10-10.5lbs for 5 fish but we were not fishing the tourney.
    City: Gridley,CA.

Tips: Come early, stay late, and keep your hook in the water.

    Water Temp: 47-48.5

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The first trip to Oroville this year and it was cold for the six of us from Basin BassMasters and the other Anglers on the water. Four layers of clothing still make the trip across the main body cold. But our first stop was weel worth it, 13 spots and smallies with three keepers over 15 inches. Crankin, spinners and JK jigs in brown/puple with a # 180 grub made it easy and fun trip for Tom Ericson and I. We found soom warmer water with incoming creeks nearby. Points with rocks in 10-20 ft until 11 am, that sun felt good. Ran up North, into the Middle Fork, the into the south Fork. All the fish came in around the Main Body aera.
    Good luck and stay warm.
    City: rocklin

Tips: 3/8 oz. brown/purple jigs working it slow and pop it back to the boat.

The last time she went, I think she only got a couple bass. So I was in the hot seat to put her on some fish. Not only did she catch some bass, but gave me a fishing lesson. Linda 13 Bob 8, with most of her bass in the 2.2 to 2.6 lbs range. Linda is a happy camper.
    City: Cottonwood
