    Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

    Report: Launched at Lime Saddle about 6:15am, fished till 11am. Bite was better today. Tossed wacky weightless Senko's the whole trip, and glad I did. Seemed every single stop on the way to the N. Fork had fish to catch, crazy good fishing right now. Managed 23 spotted bass this morning with two 15", 4-5 14-14 1/2" and the rest basic 12-13". Oh, and one red eye attached a 5" senko half the size of the fish!! crazy how small fish take on bigger baits. Crazy busy on the lake now that the water is up, like a weekend day in the summer!! Caught most fish from 5ft to 25ft. Kind of like wacky fishing, slow and easy, just right for this old man!!Pictures in fishing forum.

    Report: Bored, so had to go fishing. Launched at Lime Saddle about 6:30am, off the lake at 10:30am. Slow morning for some reason. Tossed Senko's and roboworms and managed to catch 17 spots, mostly small fish, with just 4 fish in the 14" range, all the larger fish caught on Senko's, the smaller 12-13 1/2" on roboworms, texas rigged. Fished the Lime Saddle area, always a housboat in sight. Next week heading to N. fork, see what I can coax in to biting. All fish caught less then 25 ft, no deep fish, but did try.     Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

    Report: Drove over to Bidwell so I could fish the middle fork, launching about 6:20 am, off the lake about 11:15am. Decent day, not a lot of larger fish, just one 15", 5-6 14-14 1/2" with all the rest typical 12-14", total 23 fish today. Bite seems to be good just about anyplace with some type of structure. Most fish on Roboworms today, just 5-6 on wacky weightless senko's, but the senko's did catch the larger fish. Fish shallow to 25-30 foot or so. Dinks kind of rule the first 10ft.     Report: We launched at about 7:30am at Spillway. We headed straight to south fork and started our fishing across the shoreline from Stringtown. It was nice and calm while we're trolling on and off using natural color crankbait (10-15ft divers) and suspending jerkbait. Our first catch off a crankbait was about 3-4lb. We caught around 20 fishes around the area (more smaller ones 8-10inches-12-13 inches). We traveled towards north fork and decided to fish along the banks, just a little north of Bloomer's boat in campsites. We were slowing drifting south while using Keitech swimbait and watermelon brushhogs. Brushhogs was hitting like crazy!! We fish about 8-10 feet off the shore. We caught over 50 fish along that strip of shoreline. It was a decent day of fishing for us!

    Tips: We use watermelon tiny and baby brush hogs rigged in a size 1 worm hooks (weedless) with a free sliding 1/8 oz bullet weight. Bass love em!

    Report: Launched at 6:30am at Lime saddle, stopped fishing about 10:30 am. Fished the west fork area out in the Nelson bar area. Damn, lots and lots of wood in this general area, be careful. Fished some old spots used to fish a few years ago and found fish at those locations. About half the fish on wacky weightless Senko's, the other half on roboworms, texas rigs. Found the better fish came from the senko's, the roboworms got much smaller fish today, a couple barely big enough to be fish. Managed just 18 fish today, largest at 14 1/2" with the rest 10-14". Water looked lousy in this area, much nicer in the middle fork. Seeing lots of carp in shallows, must be spawn time for them or they like eating the green growth that went under water.     Report: Drove to Bidwell so I could fish the middle fork, rather then launch at Lime saddle. Launched at 6:30 am, stopped fishing about 10:30 when the breeze picked up. Decent day, managed 24 spots this morning, Only one solid 15", 8-9 in the 14-14 1/2" range, with most other the basic 13-14" variety, and yes 2-3 dinks. All fish on wacky weightless Senko's, easy old man style:>)) Water is a tad warmer, 62-63 degrees, making the spots want to spawn. Love the middle fork! Pictures in Fishing forum

    Report: I feel ya Tom. I also went out Wednesday a little further south of you and later in the day (4:30 till dark). I had my line right hook b-hog and sinker ready to roll up some big ones. Even got the net out, shoot. Not the case a lot more skinny fish. I did notice the water temp went up 4-5 degrees from the warmest water I found last time I went out. Serge was killing me on the crank bait bite, they seemed to be chasing more with the rise in temperature. Our biggest ones around 15'' too, but they had fat bellies. Had a big momma on for a few till she knocked me off on a limb. By far biggest fish I had on this year. Another note that's the same cove as the 18'' largie I caught earlier this year. For some reason the water is way warmer in that cove all the way up to 70 degrees and the fish were bigger.

    Report: Fished with Jeff again this trip, launched a tad after 7am, fished till about 11:15am. We fished the same general area as last week in the middle fork, thinking larger fish, but nope, not this trip. Caught 35 plus fish, most with weightless wacky rigged senko's, a few Texas rigged roboworms. Anything with chartreuse seemed to help the bite. Seemed every other cast got a hit, but seems the males are beginning to move in to make beds as very few larger girls caught. Got a few close to 15" didn't measure any, but had a blast with so many hits. Color didn't seem to matter much! Love the middle fork! Saw an otter fishing as we worked our way down a bank, dive under for a minute, up swimming, then another dive for fish. Cool seeing otters in the lake. Bite is getting better!!     Report: Lauched today at Lime saddle about 6:45 am, fished till 10 am. Found quite a difference from fishing the middle fork, to lauching at Lime Saddle. Water is so dirty over lime saddle area and the north fork, middle fork looks 5 times better, and fishing seems much better in the middle fork. Only got 11 fish today, most 13-14" and a couple 12-13", with just one 15". Fished roboworms as last trip, several colors and styles, all did good for me. Harder to find the fish today, but it's like that sometimes. N. fork has so much wood, be careful! Back to middle fork next trip!! Pictures in fishing forum.

    Report: Went out fishing today with Jeff from about 7am to noon. Surprise! wide open bit for us. Fished the middle fork and caught about 30 fish, forgot my fish counter!! Fish were larger today, with about half the fish in the 15" range or larger. Largest about 17", the other half of our catch still good fish, 13-14 1/2", with just 2 dinks under 12" Jeff got his fish on wacky weightless senko's, me curly tail roboworms. Both caught fish like we always want to catch fish. Fished seemed to be from 10 foot to 25 foot, so yes, they are beginning to move up from the depths. We were catching so many that I forgot to take time for more pictures. It's the beginning of the wide open bite!! get out on the lake and give it a try. Picture in fishing forum.

    Report: Rough seas captain. I don't know why I been picking the bad weather days to go fishing on but it seems to be working. Caught a bunch of fish today trolling plastics on the bottom, like I always do. Points good stained water great run offs from feeder creeks awsome (where my bigger fish this year have came from). Sounds like fishing is good just about everywhere right now. Pics in forums.

    Report: Lauched at Lime Saddle about 6:45 am and fished till 10:30 am. Darn windy to begin with, hate it when it blows hard early morning. The wind didn't hurt the bite any, managed 14 spots today, but no large ones. Best of the 14 went right at 14", but too dark to get a decent picture. Most all other about 13", like the one in the picture. Fish were much more shallow today, all fish taken less then 25 feet, most in the 20 foot area. So odd fishing the lake when it's nearly full, can't remember where to fish from 4 years ago, so hunting new locations that hold fish well. One location gave up 5 fish today. Still lots of wood, be careful, as it rides low in the water after getting so water logged this winter. All fish taken with roboworm sculpin, loved that bait today. Fished mostly the N. Fork going towards the main lake from the west fork and a couple locations headed to N. fork from lime saddle. Pictures in Fishing Forum.

    Report: Fish on, dude, perfect storm today lots of fish. The Serge and I did pretty good for ourselves today. Fished all over the lake still lots of debris. Guy caught 5lber in boat right when we go to our spot. Can launch at enterprize now. Pics in forums. Go fishing

    Report: What a shocker, to get on a lake and feel like one has never been on it before. The water came up 70.64 feet since my last trip 3/3/16. So different, had no idea where to fish. Launched at Lime Saddle about 6:45 am fished till 10 am. Water looks real crappy, but the fish had other ideas, great trip today for me. Managed to land 13 fish, 4 largemouth, the rest spots. Large fish today a nice 18" LM, 3 others right at 14-14 1/2". All the spots were larger today, all 14" to 14 1/2". So much wood in the water, decided to just fish the general Lime saddle area. Roboworm sculpins did it today. It was like the boat gate got opened, so many boats, like it was mid summer!! Pictures in fishing Forum.

    Report: Decided to toss worms today, as next week looks to be raining every single day and won't be able to fish. Launched at Lime Saddle about 6:30 am, fished till 10 am. Typical winter slow bite. Managed 5 fish today, with the best right at 14 1/2" so close to a keeper (old rules). Fish were a tad more shallow today, most taken 20-30 foot mark, one about 15 foot. Water has warmed a tad, got 53-53 degrees. Be careful as wood is large and has taken on more water and rides very low in the water, hard to see.     Report: Went out to south fork, just off the bank. McCabes cove gate is closed due to low water level, not to sure how long that's been gone on. Total bs to me since that's pretty much where I got hooked on this lake when I was a sprout fishing black and chartreuse stinky powerbait worms y'all remember the ones. Good news for boat anglers though. So went to enterprize boat launch thinking tons of 'fisherman' would be there. Nope, had the place to myself just like old times. Better bite over here but on average fish about an inch smaller compared to main body but more of them. Got some pics in forums

    Tips: Confucius say to find hot bite first find warmer water.

    Report: Woke up feeling like crap, but decided to go fishing anyway, thinking I'll feel better, but didn't. Cool morning, 38* when I left Magalia. Cold and not feeling good don't make for good fishing. I just fished the basic lime Saddle area, not feeling like going to N. Fork. Only got 3 fish, calling it a day at 9:45 am, headed to the dock. All fish on tubes, watermelon. Last rain made for a 2 foot jump in level then settled back to about a foot a day rise. Lots of wood, so be careful. Wishing spring would arrive. this was the best fish of the two, just shy of 14". Picture in fishing forum.

    Report: Fished yesterday from 8:30 to 5:00 and between two of us we caught 32 bass. About 1/2 were from drifting live minnows and the other 1/2 from using robo worms on a dart head, keitechs, and only one on the drop shot. Most of the fish we caught were in 15 to 20 feet of water and on the bottom or very close to it. Fished the main body of the lake and points were the best, nothing in the back of any coves.

    Report: Fished my normal 3 hour fishing today, launched at 6:45 am, fished till 10:15 am. First cast, still tied to the dock a little better 14 1/4" spot on a tube bait, made my day right from the beginning. Fished my way to the North fork. picked up a couple more 13" spots on tubes again. Tried 3-4 location heading towards the main lake and got 3 more spots, 1 on roboworm, 2 on tubes. Fish are scatted, most being taken between 25-35 feet. All except the first fish, about 10 foot of water. Lake has warmed to 52 degrees. Not much wood, think the winds blew it to shore, or it sank!
