    Report: got in at 615 am and out o the water at 1115 am, guess I should have let a little later and stayed later, caught 2, on small spot and one 1 1/2 lb smallmouth, started cranking early, no luck or 2 hours, went back to museum cove on the squaw and caught the little spot 45t deep on a usual jig, moved back over to jones valley point and caught the smallmouth, checked 7 boats or ish, only one guy copped out to catching one ish, watched two others at museum cove, didnt see them catch anything, might be best to wait until the water warms up late morning instead o reezing to death like I did, stayed in the Squaw until 1030 then moved over to the pit, both arms are clearing up nicely.

    Report: went oveer to the big backbone are again on the same red mud area, caught 10, one smalmouth and 9 spots to 2 3/4 lbs,one spot inhaled my jig and didn't survive, ull o crawdads and the tail is starting to bleed rom anning, the spawn is getting close, nothing tentative about the bite today, good hard hits, a ew smacked my jig on the way back to the boat, no rip bite yet. ish were taken out o 15t and shallower water, lake level still dropping slowly I hope they slow down and let it ill up slowly, things are getting ready to bust loose, pray or good weather, the upper Pit, Squaw and McCloud are dirty.

    Report: Fished today in the Jones Valley area. Caught ish rom 10 t down to 30t. Didn't catch very many, but had a really nice day, sunny and warm or the most part. Caught my ish on pumpkinseed power worms on a darter head jig. Didn't eel any o my bites till the ish had the jig and was swimming with it, real light bite. Lots o olks ishing, beautiul day.

    Report: went into Big Backbone this am with my wie at 10am, water much cleaner and a touch warmer, had 11 on , 8 in the boat rom 1 3/4 to 2 3/4 lbs, all spots, taken o a lat spot, red mud beach in 12-15t o water on brown jigs. wie lost one at the boat which might had gone past 3 lbs, out o the eater at 1230, beautiul day, lots o people out. the spots are generally moving up or the spawn and getting shallower, nothing tentative about the bite today. Gary I hope u went oveer there as we talked about, it was super!

    Report: Haven't been out or 8 days due to weather and a cold, Lake dropped 10t and cooled o 2-3 degrees, preishing or tourney by some riends wasn't very good, water in all 4 arms dirty, went out today in upper McCloud rom 10am to 3pm only managed 5 short ones on brown jigs. However, it was a beautiul day with the sun inally making an appearance about 1130am. good orecast or tomorrow.

    Report: I went up the pit arm. Did some good on spider jigs. The cold ront shut it down pretty quick at about 10 a.m.We went in about 12. didn't want to get to wet.

    Report: Caught 17 ish. Most were between 12 and 15 inches, nothing big but a lot o un. Caught them on 6 inch worms in Salt and Pepper with a chart tail. We split shotted in 40 to 60 eet.

    Tips: The slit shotting seemed to work better than anything, caught 15 out o the 17 ish

    Report: can't stay out o the McCloud, wind at 5-10 out o the north,temp 75 degrees, caught 12 to two lbs, lost one in ront o Kamloops that might have been 2 1/2-3lbs, most taken out o 8-15 t o water, started seeing a ew cruising in 4-10t around the willows, my riend was in the pit, said he boated 7 to 2 1/2 and things are picking up over there. Find the water coming in and toss ur stu into the mud line and move it slowly, bites today were a little more aggressive but still sot. Lots o pre-ishing going on today, one o my avorite coves had three boats in the back o it. Rain is supposed to be on the way but not as erocious as the past ew storms.

    Report: warm today, 58degrees with high overcast, went back to the McCloud, lost a nice ish near shallow point, went up above kamloops and caught 22 to 2 1/2lbs missed probably 20 others on sot pressure bites, salt and pepper gurbs on1/2 and 3/8 oz jig heads. ind a place with a lot o water coming into the lake, ish today were caught at 8-25 t and are deinitely moving up. also caught a ew on yoshimura black and gold sot plastic. no wind, riday is supposed to be good weather and I can't wait to get back out there.the new ranger is a blast!

    Report: went to the Squaw creek arm, water dirty, managed only one small bass in 12-25 t o water, moved over to the McCloud near Shallow Point and caught 7 spots to 2lbs on brown and green sot plastic in 15-30t o water, temp 48 in main body, 50 degrees where streams are running in, ish are moving up, the bite is still very sot, the McCloud is very clear considering all the rain,heavy overcast with wind out o the south at 5-10mph, tried spinner baits in white and a chartruese willow blades with no luck, my partner missed at least 10 bites using a too sti spinning rod.

    Tips: I have switched to a 7t med action bait cast rod with a very sot tip to detect the bites right now. when in doubt, stick em!

    Report: Can you believe that it took over 24 lbs. to win on Shastaon Saturday. The winning team had a 7.5 and a 6.3 in theirsack along with 5 other 2 lb.+ ish. My partner and I oundour ish on secondary points near Bridge Bay, but they werelacking the size we had hoped or. We ended up weighing 3ish or 3.795 lbs., but hooked up with 9 on the day (lotso shakers). We were shottin' Seducer plastics in 25-30eet o water and ishing real slow.

    Report: First time on Shasta. Fished mostly pit and a little bit o the Squaw. Got one nice small mouth and some pretty good spots. any were rom 10' to 30' on worms. Managed to get one on jig.

    Report: Went out to put a ew hours on a new boat and didn't expect to catch much, got a suprize. Fished 20'-40' o the banks in the narrows rom the damn to Bridge Bay and caught a 2 1/2 # Lg. mouth and trolled or a bit in the same area and picked up a nice Rainbow. Beautiul day !!

    Report: bright sunny day, break in ride on new boat, ished an hour up in the mccloud near Hirz Bay, ish are moving up rom 40-50t range and I caught 5 in the 18-35t area. Used jigs and green zipper worm ,all about 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 lbs.

    Report: Great day on the water, ished Pit Arm most o the day.Caught several smallies 1-2 pounds on 'beetle spins' and5 large mouth, largest 3.5 pounds on jigs. The weatherwas great, light wind!!!

    Report: Had a houseboat trip 2/13-17. The "hurricane" the night o the 13th raisied the lake 4' and pushed the ish deep o main points. By the 15th things had settled own. Caught most ish o secondary points in main coves and irst cut beyond the point. Lots o dinks, but some decent ish up to 3 lbs.

    Tips: 4-6" morning dawn and blue ghost magic worms ished REAL SLOW at 20-30'. Look or secondary points with rock or downed wood. Largest ish were caught in the irst cut ater the point.

    Report: it is raining heavily and the lake is on the way up rapidly. ish are still deep, drag something in 40-50t in stumps or in the rocks, ish slowly! lots o debris loating so slow down or risk tearing up your rig, wind and rain predicted or all week. miserable conditions would best describe it. jigging spoons did not work or me, went to jigs in 1/2oz or larger, hard to maintain contact with the bottom with the wind blowing, come on SPRINGTIME!
