      Water Temp: 75 to 78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Kept getting reports Berryessa was fishing well in the Narrows in the morning on topwater (spitting poppers) and dropshot & split shot 15’ to 25’good once sun up. Went out this morning from 6:30 am to 11 am and fished what was recommended. Fishing was horrible to say the least. We only scratched up 3 fish on dropshot 25’ to 35’ deep. Did not get a bite on Topwater (spitting poppers/poppers/zara spooks), cranks, and split shot. Was surprised too because we had a light wind with cloud cover early on.

Found ton of bait from the surface down to 50 feet. All the bait we found was too small at 1½” long. Got off the water at 11 am as the holiday crowd arrived. Hope others did better, because I could not figure it out today…

      Tips: None

    • Water Temp: 72-75

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished late Sunday night to Weds. Fished south again & fought the wind! Had good luck with jigs, double wide beavers, with a few crank & blade fish thrown in for good measure! Caught a few on top water also using that River2Sea Whopper Plopper. Didn't get that many but they were in the 5-6lb range & blasted the heck out of it. Our slow day was Monday again, we managed 4 fish for the day, but at least they went 4-5.5 lbs. Best day was Sunday night where we boated 17 for the evening with best limit going 22.9 lbs. When they hit, they are fighting hard. They were in 15-25 ft range. Biggest fish came on the Strike King 10XD monster crankbait. An 8.8 lb'er smashed it in deep rock structure & really put up a tussle! That was the highlight of the trip! We averaged 10-12 fish the rest of the time out! The wind wasn't gale force, but unrelenting.

Tips: Jimmy at Clearlake Bait & Tackle told me about the Whopper Plopper & 10XD. I was was a little skeptical, but they worked. Big bait = big fish! Colors were Red Shad, Watermelon Red Flake, & Big Texan (Reaction Innovation color) Not one Senko fish & if Monday keeps on being slow, I'll start catching a Gorgonzola burger at the Saw Shop & watch Monday Night Football!

    • Water Temp: 76-78

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went to sycamore for the first time in a while so had no real expectations. Fished the weed line along the bank and found fish both inside and out. Med diver crank bait and filpped for outside and frogs pop-r and flipped the inside. All techniques produced fish but only a few in the 2-3 lb range.
After the tide bottomed out punched and frog the mats in some of the coves. Again most fish were of the smaller size. wind made fishing the islands a little tough most of the day. good to see that sycamore still producing even if it's not the bigger fish.

    • Water Temp: 73

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched B&W 6:30, water was smooth and still, not much movement. Brother picked up 3 decent keepers in a row, best 2.4 (ok not real big but fat bellies always look good to us) on white spinnerbait with curly tailed trailer, slow-rolled on outside edge of the weedline. After I got nothing on a lipless crank and senko, I tied on a Dandy Mr Boops spinnerbait and immediately picked up 3 keepers, best 2lbs; we kept working the moke moving south and then ran back up and worked the tules and punch mats for another 9 keepers...nothing over 2lbs but still fun. Nothing on topwater, not even a ripple or a bump, much less any blowups. But the lipless crank worked along with a 3.5" havoc sick fish on a dart head for some fun on light action spinning.
      City: folsom

Tips: We don't have much on tips cuz we just try what we like (crankin', spinnerbaits, senkos). Just out there having fun. We usually just try to move out a bit but we always seem to return to the weed edges and tules no matter what tide. I'd like to really know how to work the low tide so if anyone cares to offer up some low tide tips, it's appreciated. thanx!!

    • Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Thursday 8-29-13, my buddy and I launched out of Rosso’s (7 AM) at low slack tide. We started fishing cuts on the North end of Frank’s track. The bite was very good for about two hours as the tide was coming in. Around 10:00, the bite turned off. However, by this time, we had 10 fish. Around noon, we had enough of fighting the strong winds and current and moved into Pipers Slough for some protection. Again, we fished the cuts and islands entering into Frank’s Track. When we quit at 3:30, we had 10 more fish. Considering the windy conditions, 20 fish for the day wasn’t bad. None were big. We had one at 3½ lbs, three at 2½, a few at 2 lbs and rest under 2 lbs About half of the fish were caught using Wacky- style Senkos on a heavy-duty drop-shot rig to hold the Senko down in the current. The other half were caught drop-shotting six in. RoboWorms.
      City: Pinole

Tips: Fishing is much more fun when not fishing in strong wind.

    • Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Shore fished Lime Saddle this am, from 6am to 7:45am. First hour tossed swim baits, just 2 short hits, felt like dinks. Switched to Texas rig roboworms, got 2 spots, one 17 1/4" and one 16". Wish I could have stayed longer.
      City: Magalia

Tips: Anyone with a boat looking for a fish partner, let me know. I'm generally available to fish most days. Email me at Jewelweaver@earthlink.net and lets catch a few.

    • Water Temp: 75-78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just spent the entire week houseboating and fishing on oroville. We fished about 6 hours each day, 6am-9am and 4pm-sundown. While it did die off on saturday and sunday, the bite was pretty consistent. We caught about 1 fish per hour on spinners, topwater, and worms. Over half of the fish were taken with a shaky head or wacky dropshot worm. It's a very subtle pressure bite, so pay attention and set if the line feels heavy.

Last year during this trip the fish were small, but this year, over 70% of the fish we caught were slot fish, and all the fish on the worms were slot. Biggest fish were a 17" spot on a worm, a 15" largemouth on a worm, and 15" spot on slow rolled spinner.

The fish are full of little white minnows. Half the fish we caught were vomiting them up at the boat.

We found action all over the lake, South middle and north forks all produced. Just concentrate on points. Ignore the tress, unless they are on a point.

    • Water Temp: 76-78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Looks like no one fishes the lake in the summer - no reports! Well - someone has to be brave! I took a client out yesterday for a "teach the lake" trip and found out why none of you were there! Actually there was another bass boat on the lake! I showed him most of the lake - productive areas on and off the shoreline. Sunrise really never happened through the smoke - weird! I only had 2 or 3 bites - landing a 2 3/4 largemouth and a smallmouth that was close to 3 lbs. Boy, those smallies can fight in warm water!! He had a few bites also but couldn't hook them. Someone needs to develop a meter that can locate fish at Pardee in the summer!! For some strange reason I put on a brown/orange jig w/Berkley twin-tail trainer about 1 in the afternoon and that smallie nailed it!! Who ever heard of fishing a jig in August??? You never know!

Tips: The lake is still at 97% level. Seems like we should be fishing the spring shallows! I think they plan to start dumping water very soon. Both of my fish were caught on off-shore structure - about 50 yards off-shore. His bites were on the bank in shadows. He will do well on his next trips - I'm sure!

Report: Jeff and I fished today mostly main lake from about 6:30am to 11am. Started out a tad windy, as time went on wind died off. We ended up with 4-5 fish (can't remember for sure) with Jeff getting the largest, a nice fat 15" spot. Jeff did a bit of top water, missed one, no other takers. Fished mostly roboworms from shore to down about 25-30ft. Kind of a slow bite, but great fishing partner, good times. Thanks Jeff.

    • Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Shore fished Lime Saddle from about 6am to 8am. Slow bite, got 3 spots, lost on as it tangled into a cable, just couldn't get it free, eventually the line broke. Fished Texas style, light 1/16oz, with curly tail roboworms, bold blue gill. Light weight lets you get past the rock working the bait back to shore. All fish were 13-14" as a guess, didn't measure any this trip.
      City: Magalia

Tips: As always, anyone with a boat looking for a fish partner, let me know. I'm available most of the time, say about 90% or so. Email me at Jewelweaver@earthlink.net

    • Water Temp: 81

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Started Fishing at 11:00 PM Monday night with the goal of catching a fish on the 8" Hud Dlx but after 3 hrs I only got slapped around, I did not know if it was bass or carp slapping it until a 3.5 bass finally got tail hooked!! it was fun but I thought I had a toad !!!, its hard to turn a fish caught by the tail:) OK, at 2:00 AM I said OK I will use my trusty Jig = Nothing ! Trusty 10 inch worm = Nothing !, Trusty Crank bait = Nothing, went to sleep at 3:00 got back up at 5:00 and nothing until 8:30 AM started getting them on 3 inch plastics :(, at 9:15 got my first good fish 4.2 lb in the shade of a dock, 1 hr later another 4.2 in 6 inches of water, I saw the fish chasing bait up in the rocks but I thought it was a dink but it turned out to be 4.2 with a 6 or 7 lber running along side her and I never saw the bigger fish again, 2 hrs later another 4.2 yes 3 4.2 on the dot and my scale does not lie, I test it all the time with my Olympic weights at home. Total 20 fish but only 3 good ones, the rest were 12 inches or less.
      City: San Jose

Tips: I used 3 to 5 inch plastics in Green Pumpkin seed T-Rigged & Dart head:( I got the first 4.2 on 3 inch plastic dart head and than I went to a fat 5 inch worm T-Rigged but same color. I caught fish in 6 inches to 10 feet max but with deeper water close by. Tons of silversides, at 5:00 am it looked and sounded like it was raining.

Report: Shore fished at Lime Saddle this am from 6:30am to 8am. Ended up with 4 spots, no large ones. All Texas rigged with curly tail roboworms in bold bluegill. Slow bit, but not bad for shore fishing and stuck to a small section of bank.

    • Water Temp: 73

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: not my day to be typing... correction: senko color 956, not 946.

      sorry for the constant correction.

    • Water Temp: 73

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Somehow some of my text disappeared at "best going 3.7 on a 5" keitech salty stick in red crawdad. #946 Watermelon w/Copper Fl./Orange w/Red Fl (aren't you glad I don't just give a #?)"
The #946 was a Senko and it was the other producer. The Keitech salt core stick caught the 3lber but the Senko 946 wtrmln w/copper flk and orange w/red flk caught a bunch or the 1-2 lbers. We ended the day with 25 total but only about 15 decent keepers. Was still a good 1/2 day...off the water by 1pm.
      City: folsom

Tips: Similar to DeltaBassBuster below...I've seen his vids, knows his stuff. (DBB, hope you don't mind me sayin).

    • Water Temp: 73

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched B&W 615am, lowering tide and water wasn't moving much. Worked around the corner at the Moke...picked up a mess of shaker dink stripers while cranking square bills and lipless in red craw. Couldn't pick up much else on the crank cept 6"-10"ers. All the fav spots just didn't produce. Went to 5" wacky senko's and downsized wiggle tail plastics on 1/8oz jighead.. brother used 4" swim senkos and we started picking up fat bellied 1-2 lbers, best going 3.7 on a 5" keitech salty stick in red crawdad. #946 Watermelon w/Copper Fl./Orange w/Red Fl (aren't you glad I don't just give a #?). Majority of the finesse hits were in 3-6 ft at the tules. Then my brother put a white split tail trailer on a white double willow spinnerbait and picked up 3 fat bellies along the rock wall in about 6-10 ft slow rollin' off the bottom. We continued working all the way down almost to Tower but then decided to give our cranking spots another try....nope, nada, zip... oh wait, I got another 10"er crankin' a LuckyStrike Rick Clunn square bill in red craw over the weedline. That was it for my cranking success today.
      City: folsom

Tips: Just like DeltaBassBuster said (btw, glad you're back!) we just tried different things, though we were a bit hardheaded hoping the crankin' would turn on. But we went to senkos and downsized plastics with curl tails and finessed them.

    • Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Shore fished from Lime Saddle from 6:30am to 8am, ended up with 5 spots, all 13-14". Fished Texas style, 1/16oz roboworms. Light weights let you get over the rocks when working the worm back to shore. Slow to sink but it works.
      City: Magalia
