    • Water Temp: 63-65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: launched out of paradise predawn. Nothing until the sun started to rise. Popping frogs and crank baits. First time trying the new Arashi square bill and the bass were inhaling it. One fish had the whole lure in its mouth and not a single hook was stuck, still got it to the boat. I even got a few stripers in it. The frog bite was not as good as it has been but still got some decent fish. Flipping brush hogs produced some but nothing big.
After slack tide action slowed. The wind that picked up around Mildred isl. didn't help matters either. Off the water by 1.
      City: elk grove

Tips: The best locations I found were the sparse tulle points that had some current, whether it was from wind or tide. Always throw back to a spot with a different bait. I was getting multiple fish off points some with a crank and then a brush hog.

    • Water Temp: 61.7

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched B&W around 6:45am and started down the Moke throwing lipless cranks. Brother immediately picked up a 1.5lber and then 2 more solid 2.5lbers. For every solid keeper my bro landed, I hooked a dink or barely keeper. Tried senko's but only managed more dinks. My bro stayed with his lipless as well as a speedtrap, both in craw with orange belly. Don't know how many, but he finished the day with a bunch of 1 and 2 lbers and I finished with as many dinks. Not one keeper for me today. Oh well!
      City: folsom

Tips: Whether low tide, incoming, or high tide, my brother threw to the tules and got hit at the weedlines. That was his pattern. I tried it, but just didn't work for me. I had no pattern...had no luck today. But still a good day for my big bro.

    • Water Temp: 66-69

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I guided a good angler from Chicago Tues and Wed evening - fighting wind most of the time. We fought our way to Henderson Point area where he caught his first Clear Lake bass - about 4 3/4 lbs! The man from Chicago was impressed!! I had him using a green pumpkin Berkely Havoc Craw Fatty. He caught another nice one pushing 4 lbs using a Power worm. I caught a 3 1/2 on a jig. We lost 3 or 4. The wind calmed down some. Last night was a different story - very dangerous wind conditions - as bad as I have seen for a few years.. The Wed night tourney guys went out and luckily made it back alive! I wasn't going risk that boat ride with a client, so we fished areas across from Red Bud. He missed 2 or 3 on his spinnerbait, which he loves to throw. I decided to try a red shad Dead Ringer 8" worm - with the giant tail working thru weed openings. After landed a mighty 10 inch monster, I got a fair hit in 3 feet of water. I managed a good hookset in spite of the bow in my line. Out of the water jumps a big bass and the fight was on. We guessed 5 lbs but the number kept going up in my mind! It took forever to land her in the wind but finally a nice 7 lb 2 oz bass joined our group! If there was ever a time I wasn't thinking big bass - this was it! You just never know - especially if you were using 8 lb test!!! We gave up a little while later. We joined the tourney guys trying to get our boats out as gale force winds blew directly into the ramp! Ugly - but all boats out ok - I think!

Tips: We didn't get a lot of bites during the 2 trips, but Berkely soft plastics and the Dead Ringer seemed to work ok. We tried some reaction baits with no success. I like to think the red shad was a good color for the beginning of fall. At least one of the bass agreed with me!

Report: Shore fished at Lime Saddle from 6:30am to 8 am. Texas rigged roboworms got me 5 spots, no large ones, all about 13" or so. Still a nice short trip.

    • Water Temp: 68-70

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Tried way north today. Went to Snodgrass before first light. Buzz bait bite was really nice. First stop got 4 fish 2-4lbs. Cranked a square bill for a while but only a few small takers. Moved farther in when the sun was higher and marked tons of bait. cranked wind blown weed bed for quite a few fish from 8"-3lbs. Sad to say the top water bite was gone. Off the water by 12. Not a bad day for a short trip.

      Water Temp: 65-70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Orwood at 7AM. Got a couple on topwater within the first hour. Fished shallow cranks, jerk baits and LV200 but no takers. Switched to drop shot and caught em that way for the rest of the day. 12 keepers in the boat for two of us but nothing over 2lbs. Tons of dinks and missed tons more both on drop shot plus two punching.
      City: San Mateo

Tips: Learn how to use a fairy wand. I didn't until last week and didn't realize what I was missing. Bit almost every Roboworm I had: Mean Green, Pumpkin Punisher, MMIII, Aaron's Magic.

    • Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Jess and I fished the main lake from about 7am to noon. We ended up with 8-9 spots, largest right at 16", (nice fat one.) Large fish was about 30-35ft down. Seems better sized fish tend to be deeper right now. Windy, windy day on the lake. We fished Texas, drop shot, both got fish. Both us us used roboworms.
      City: Magalia

    • Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Shasta is currently 114.32 from full pool and still on the drop. The shad coming up and the top water bite is starting to happen. We haven't been hearing of many big fish but we have been hearing of big numbers. The most productive techniques have spooks and poppers in the mornings and then either fishing a little deeper with tubes and dartheads through the rest of the day or if the wind picks up running the points looking for muddy water and throwing reaction baits.

Launching is available at Packers Bay, Hirz Bay Centimudi, Jones Valley and Sugarloaf. If you are planning a trip keep in mind that Packers Bay and Hirz Bay are out of the water at 116'

    • Water Temp: 64-

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Mon - Weds. right in a cold front coming in. Wind was bad, worst being Tues night when we didn't even try to go out. Fishing was a little slow except for Monday evening when they were on a good bite. Caught them on jigs, Texas rigged double wide beavers, & a few crank fish tossed in. Tuesday evening was slow, they were off the double wide beaver & jig bite, they were hitting 7" Powerworm green pumpkin & Yamamoto Kreature in junebug. Weds. was the most consistent with all the aforementioned baits working plus we got a 6'5 on the 5" Senko . Even nailed a 5.5 lb bladefish. The best limits were Mon. @ 23.6 & Weds. @ 21.4. You don't want to know what Tues best limit was lol. There's a ton of Silversides all over the place so next Spring outta be great!

Tips: Wind started declining Weds evening, wished I could have fished just one more day! You have to hide from the wind. It got so ridiculous Tues. you lost contact with your bait. Since our fishing spots were limited, we pounded the areas we could fish! Didn't see anyone else fishing where we were at! what ever technique you use, slow it down a little, they seemed bait specific, so we through alot of different baits at the same spots to see what worked. We couldn't move around much! I do think, however, the bite's gonna be lights out in the next 6-8 weeks if you pick out the weather!

    • Water Temp: 69-71

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: went out sun. Weather channel said clear sky and warm. That's what I get for trusting the weather service. Morning was cold, overcast, and breezy. Weather aside, with the storm the day before there was no top water bite for us. After the water dropped and exposed some of the deeper weed lines and the sun made its way out the flip bite was on. Lots of fish but very few but in the 2lb or higher class. the better fish came off weeds where there is a big drop off right against the weed line.
      City: elk grove

Tips: If yesterday was any indication, after a storm back off and look for the first cover in deeper water. Still looking for where the bigger ones go!

    • Water Temp: 69-70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Spent the week at Trinity Center and Fishen that end of the lake. Most of the fish were just keepers
My Buddy Rolf did mangage to catch a couple of 4lb and 5lb smallmouth. My other Friend Ed caught a couple of nice spots I on the other hand Stuck a a topwater fish right of the bat did that all week.We used splitshots wacky rigs dropshots jigs and Zara spooks.
Most fish were from 15 to 25ft

      Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: 1 sm, 1 lm and 5 stripers in the boat. Sm 1.5#, lm 4# the rest 3# or less and all caught in the narrows. Sm 9am on crank 10' on sloping rocks and lm at 4pm working a crank thru a submerged tree. Missed some others including a 4-5# leaper after 6 pm.
      City: dublin

Tips: Tough for black bass for me but the stripers were everywhere after 6pm for 20 minutes- shad imitation and minnow bait. Didn't try topwater because I didn't have one on and didn't want to miss the frenzy. The 4-5 jumper may have been a lm (real close to weed edge) but all I saw was its back and length and I still hadn't taken the time to take the sunglasses off yet.

    • Water Temp: 72 - 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Wednesday 9-18-13, my buddy and I launched out of Holland Riverside Marina (6:30 AM) at high tide. Right outside the marina, we started catching small keepers. Almost all fish were caught on sparse Tule points and up to 50 feet on both sides of these points. The bite was consistent but slow until low tide. During low slack tide, we moved to the outside of Mildred’s Island. The bite picked up again a little after the tide started moving in. The same pattern fished earlier held. However, we were catching many more dinks. By 4:30, we had over 30 fish with only about a third of them keepers. The larges keeper was only about 2½ lbs. About half of the fish were caught using Wacky-style Senkos on a heavy-duty drop-shot rig. The other half were caught drop-shotting six in. RoboWorms.
      City: Pinole

Tips: Tule points produce many more fish than long stretches of tules.

    • Water Temp: 71-74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Monday the 16th all day & Tuesday the 17th in the morning until the wind got to be way too much to be worth the risk...especially since it was my sisters first trip in way to many years. Monday...fishing was good, launched out of Clearlake Oaks and ran up to the "wall" where she wasted no time in putting the first fish in the boat, a nice fat 3.5lber, which I promptly bested with a nice 5+...and so it went. We fished all the way to Glenhaven and put together a nice 25lb(+/-) limit for the day. Tuesday the wind had been up since the early AM and it wasn't a particularly a gentle ride up to the narrows. Fished from the islands down to Konocti before deciding the wind wasn't going to lay down and in fact was getting worse. The few small fish that were biting weren't helping to convince us out there. Made it back to the ramp safely only to have the left rear brake on the truck all but lock up as we were pulling off the ramp. Ended up having to have the truck towed to Lakeport to get it worked on....I know this is a "fishing report" but have to publically thank Bob from "Limit Out Bait & Tackle" as I called and explained the situation that being over 130 miles from home AAA would tow the truck but wouldn't touch the boat/trailer. I asked if I could get the boat/trailer over to the shop, could I leave it at the there until I could make arrangements to somehow getting it home. Well, Bob went "above and beyond" to help...and actually dropped his boat off and brought his truck over to the ramp and towed the boat back to the shop while I waited for the tow truck, then waited after hours for me to get back from the repair shop to pick it up and head for home. Restored my faith in at least some of the human race...Just can't say enough about that kind of unexpected response. It definitely made a bad situation a lot less stressful. Thanks again Bob!!!
      City: Colfax

Tips: Green & Brown jig & trailer combos seem to put most of the better fish in the boat on Monday, with a few on Brushogs pitched around & under the docks. Got a few on chrome & shad rattle baits from the stretches between docks, but didn't find the previously mentioned top water or blade bite though...

    • Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched at Lime Saddle, fished a half day, off the lake at noon. We ended up with 10-11 spots, no large fish, all about 13-14" or so. ! was top water, several roboworms, a few tube baits, a couple crank baits. Seemed most baits worked. Water is down over 150ft. Hard to figure out where to fish with it changing so much each week.

      Water Temp: Forgot to check

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Orwood at 7:30. Nailed a 3lb 14oz on top water (Sammy, bluegill) 3rd cast. Sadly it was all downhill from there. 6 keepers in the boat for two of us. Countless dinks. Wind picked up around late morning which just made things worse.
      City: San Mateo

Tips: Get out before the wind picks up.
