I was using a + oz jig, purple with purple pork. the walls I was ishing were all most straight up and down. I would try to keep my jig on the wall all the way down. The ish were taking the jig very sot. I also had 2 worm bites. On the 11th I started in the middle ork middle ork middle ork. I mist my irst two bites o the day then got my irst ish a 2 +, missed the next then got another one. About 11:30 I had three and moved to the south ork. I got one got one more there but it was only about 13 in. Just ater 12:00 I move to the main lake, I had not had a bite on my worm so I stopped ishing it or the rest o the day. I had change to a Super pork Jr. to try to stop the short bites I was getting. I put 4 more ish in on the main lake ishing the points in 30 to 45 eet o water. At the end o the day with all the rain and snow I had 18 to 20 bites, 7 keepers and 5 or 11lb 12oz. Rick K o Ca or Champion Boats and BOB's Marine

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished a late aternoon-night trip with a client on Thursday as a very cold storm was moving in. We got the trip in beore the rain, but not the wind. We were limited as to where we could ish - too cold to be in any wind!! We ished jigs 90 percent o the time, because we were looking or big ish. This time, we were successul! He caught a 1 and 2 1/4 pounder beore dark in the main body. They were about 30 eet deep. I missed two at about 40 eet. Right ater dark, I landed a nice 2 pounder in Mountain Spring area, and I missed another. As the clouds got thicker, the bite picked up a bit. Yea, right - instead o one bite an hour, we got TWO bites an hour - WOW! But about an hour ater dark, ishing a little cut in the main body, he got the bite we were waiting or, and hoped we would get with the incoming ront. We were surprised how shallow this monster was, about 10 eet. Ater an amazing ight or water this cold, I netted a beautiul 8 lb 11 oz bass or him. Ater photos, we put her right back where she was caught. He caught it on a Weapon jig with a Yamamoto grub trailer. We each caught another bass in the Jackson arm, his about 2 lbs and mine about 1 1/4. Six bass to 8-11 - not bad or the middle o winter!
City: Yuba CityTips: Shakin' worms and jigs have been the best or me this winter. Night ishing is slow because the bass just hunker down in all the weeds that are available. As the lake ills, the areas rom the inside weed edges to the bank will be good when the lake warms a bit.

Water Temp: 45
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Chilly and breezy was an understatement so I ran to the bridge headed to south fork and maintained some cover from the wind and fished the deep water wall and picked up 3 with the smallest going 2.6 lbs on a jig. As the wind slowed down, so did the fishing so worked deep walls in 25' carolina rigging a 4" worm very, very S-L-O-W, almost dead sticking the bait and picked them up as fast as I could drop it in the water........once I got the right length of the leader. Very good day with all fish over the slot.
City: WheatlandTips: Working a brown/orange 1/4 oz Rodstrainer jig with Yamamoto grub trailer in 20-25 feet and when they ate the jig, they really slammed it. Carolina rig was initially set for 36" and never got tapped until I kept lowering it and when I got to 14", they ate it up. Was using a Magic worm in a light orange and tan color (can't remember the # or color) and dragging it extremely slow with a 2/0 straight hook which was a switch from my ordinary offset worm hook.

Water Temp: 45
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Breezy and cold at early morning launch so I pulled up to the bridge on south ork to get some lie back into my body as the piling blocked the wind. Threw a 1/4 oz jig to deep bank and slowly worked back to boat.....bam, a 2.6 pounder. That was just the start and they kept eating the jig until the wind died and it all slowed down to a crawl so I matched it. Put on a worm and worked it super slow in 20-25' on a carolina rig or 4 really nice spots. Started with leader about 36" and when I got it to 16", that's when all the action started. All in all, a really nice, productive day.
City: WheatlandTips: Brown/orange Rodstrainer jig with a Yamamoto grub trailer worked o steep walls in 25-30 in the morning. Aternoon was a 4" Magic worm in a light orange/tan color (don't remember worm #) worked at a snail's pace and they ate it up. All bites were hammering hits and you knew when you had one. Good luck this week-end.....some o us have to work!

Water Temp: 46.5-49.0
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: On weds Larry Powell and I ished rom 0700-1600 and had 19 ish. All the ish came on jigs and worms, the biggest ish was a huge bucket mouth that broke the scales at 10.27lbs. Smallest ish was 1.78 then all were in the 2-3lbs class. Wind was a major role, stay on the protected sides and cast across the wind on points. SLOW DOWN with jigs and worms.
City: ParadiseTips: Try using 1/2 oz jigs in craw patterns and shad patterns in the worms. remember this is eb. Ther are some big ish moving right now and there moving real ast to warmer water look or temps that are 1 or 2 degrees warmer than the man body or north ork and the big boys or girls are there.

Report: LAUNCH OUT OF THE BREAK @ 9:00AM. NOTICED I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER GENE HAD TODAY. FIGURED I WILL FISH A LITTLE WHILE. WHATS A LITTLE WIND. WELL THE WIND AND SWELLS MADE FISHING NOT FUN. TRIED TO TUCK BACK INTO LITTLE BREAK. NOTICED EVEN THE BIRDS WERE PINNED UP AGAINST THE REEDS THE WIND WAS BLOWING SO HARD. DID MANAGE TO STICK A 1.5 ON A BLADE. BUT THEN NOTICED THE BOAT WAS ON THE WEEDS. SO I LEFT AND WENT A LITTLE FARTHER UPSTREAM TO 75 DEGREE WATER, WHICH I AM SURE YOU KNOW WHERE THAT IS. THREW THE TRAP AND GOT HAMMERED, LANDED ABOUT A 8# STRIPER. THAT WAS IT WAS NOT FUN ANYMORE.

Report: Two of us fished from 11-5. Nice, warm day with water temp up about 2 degrees from the previous week. Landed 7 bass from 1-3 lbs. We fished the shoreline on the far side of the dam. The bass are schooled up and as soon as we started seeing them on the depth finder we got bites. We used small worms in dark colors and small jigs in about 20 feet of water.
