Report: If you're worry about other people stealing your spot then keep your mouth shut and don't say anything. Don't tell others about it then start crying over losing your spot. I fish Frank's Track and Big Break, look for rocky bottom and grassy points, a jig w/beaver for rocky bottom and Lucky Craft rip bait for the grassy points. Good Fishin

Water Temp: COLD
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: We launched out of B&W 7 a.m., fished a lot of the south bank on the mokelumne with no bites. I proceeded to take us into sycamore. At about 10 a.m. the fog lifted and we got feeling back in our finger tips. Saw some fly fisherman 3/4's of the way back into the slough. They were throwing a sub-surface fluke-like fly, that gave my partner the idea to throw a rip bait, 3rd cast on the pause he strokes a 3#. Unfortunately it was our only fish of the day. I ran us all the to the back of Sycamore and the water was real muddy and still cold. We fished until 3:30. Baits I used; 7" watermelon red weightless senko, 7" shad mission fish, 41/2" huddleston shad ( purple FR=12), staysee pointer chatruese shad, Lucky craft lipless crawdad pattern, chrome and blue rattle trap, Dandy baits "JAB" jig in the BUD color with a paca craw trailer. Either my slow presentation was'nt slow enough, or I'm just plain aint' on 'em. Time to hire a giude.
Tips: Try ripping, they were suspended off the weed bed during first part of incoming. Instead of slow, try SUPER slow. Good luck

Report: diehard, sorry that im late on the response, but franks tract is south east of the sacramento river. just use google maps and you cant really miss it (its a huge body of water that resembles a lake) Franks Tract is a shallow all around (ranging from 2-7 ft) so your friend is right about the stripers hanging around the flats. Surrounding the tract are river channels, so striper follow the bait fish into this area, and "trap" them. we caught most of our stripers on the east side of the tract (roaming in and out of the channel) but i know many other boats were on the south and north sides of the tract, catching their fair share. I dont know what triggers the frenzy, but its definitely related to all the bait fish that flood this area. when its around 4pm, the sun dips below mt diablo, so i'm sure the sunlight is one major contributing factor. Just keep any white jerk bait tied on, make it look like an injured bait fish. Have fun...and KEEP WARM!!!
