Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Buckley Cove in Stockton on Wednesday and B&W on Thursday. Found LM fishing tough. Tried everything. Had no luck with Stripers in the Stockton Turning Basin. Caught and released a few keeper stripers in Franks and 14-mile slough on minnows, 3 1/2" fish traps, and green/chrome spoons. Caught and released a 8-pound salmon in 14-mile on a fish trap.
City: NovatoTips: The LM bite was off. We didn't see any stripers activity in the eastern half of the Delta, so you just have to search them out with a hit and miss plan. There was some bird action, but it was sparce.

Water Temp: 64 to 66
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got off work early Thursday launched round 11 tossed gizzard shad colored cranks mostly all day did okay lots of 1 and 2 pounders paralleling weed lines around white slough. Not much of a flipping bite for me, tried jigs and creatures. The cold front and blue bird skies seemed to really shut the bite down. Got off the water round 5 my best five probably only went like 8 pounds.
City: stocktonTips: I shoulda borrowed myboats slower's Alabama rig with crawdad trailers lol can't stop laughing :-D

Report: For everyone reacting to these morons who are jerkin' everyone's chain...they're just trying to get you to react, makin' up stupid stories about going fast in the deadly fog. Please don't react anymore....we all know what safe and sane is and they actually do too. if they were really going that fast, we'd already be reading about the emt's and divers pulling their worthless bodies out of the delta. 415bass...thanks for posting your report!
City: sacTips: don't let these bozos get you started...I agree with what you all say to these fools...but they're not worth it...let's stay focused on what we love....fishin' ... or better yet....BASS FISHIN'!

Water Temp: 64-72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: So I was out the other day in my brand new wrapped ranger cruising along at a cool 68 mph and I came up on this a$$clown an Allison. I almost hit him cause it was so foggy, but I was able to veer outta the way cause I felt his wake before I saw him. Let me say this, he's a total liar. I was GPSing myself on my brand new hds-8 lowrance and I was only going 70 and it was like he was sitting still! He saw me and tried to get on it, and off we went racing down old river in the fog. He's right....exhilarating is an understatement!! I haven't had that big of a rush since I was killin' Charlie in the trees in southeast Asia!!! Anyway, I smoked that pansy and there's no way he was going 70! My boat maxes out at 69 and he was toast! Anyway, the bite was great, I just watched tactical bassins video where they say they caught 42 lbs for five, and eventhough they only showed one fish out of that limit, it was enough for me, and I knew that bank. I went and never gave up, just like Matt Allen says, and sure enough caught a 3lber, 5lber and 2 4 lbers and an 8lber all on an Alabama rig with live crawdads. That was so many pounds of bass filets that I had to feed my dogs the leftovers! I recommend deep frying the bass, the bigger ones taste better! !! Caught em deeper in current, on points.
City: The delta sewerTips: Alabama rig 5 live crawdads!! Had two fish on at once!!

Water Temp: warmish
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Slow day today started at 6:30 finished by 9:30. had to work caugth only 3 keepers and to 1.5 lbs and couple of dinkers. BIG BIG difference compared to monday. everything was on crankbait. On monday got a bonus 2 salmon to 8 lbs. the bite is on cranks, maybe its cause of a cold front today..
City: sfTips: i dunno, lol.. ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET SOME FALL CRAPPIE NEAR THE BIG BREAK OR FRANKS TRACT AREA?? THANKS MUCH. STAY SAFE, especially from stupid boaters!! lol

Report: Yup, the bass fishin' has not been anything to write home about ! ? Oct. 26th was my third prefish day. 1st day nothing = fishing mid lake (dam and marina areas) for smallies... NOTHING the water is way too clear ! Some areas you can see down 25 ft. ! Day 2, fished up north. The fish were holding away from the trees in small sub-creek channels. caught 7. Three that were 2 1/2 to 3 pound range the rest smaller. Day 3, went back to the same spots hoping to build off of them,,, the only fish we caught were small-ish . Nothing that would be large enough to be put in a live-well for a tournament..? One more pre-fish day before club tournament next Saturday, Nov. 5th.?????????????????????????????????????????????
City: UKIAHTips: I hear that Folsom Lake is in the same boat. Clear water and tough ! I guess I would say, don't fall in-love with a area. Keep moving ! Most of my fish were caught off swim-baits and crankin'. ??? The fall fishin' on Sonoma can be a ???????? Maybe the front coming in at the end of the week will turn things on ??
GOOD LUCK ! Don

Water Temp: 63
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fog was so bad out of b&w got later start than i wanted. Fished behind Little franks. Threw small white blades. Got sick of dinks . Went with senkos on ikey heads green pumpkin with red. Got several 3 & 4,s. All in dark black shade with wood. If i was in sun bite was dead. Came back to pirates cove for shade. Sure enough fish on! Talked with bluegill fisherman at the dock. They got run off by big bass once they hooked blues. Same pattern for blues wood.
City: OrangevaleTips: Should have thrown shell cracker or anything in blue-yellow or chartruse. Thats why im not on espn2 yet. You have to find the pattern within the pattern!

Report: To "myboatsfaster" I've known two people like you...One, I went to his funeral two years ago after his boating accident and now you; I don't know you so I won't be attending your funeral and I really hope I won't be attending one of my many fishing buddies funeral who enjoys fishing the Delta due to your inconsiderate recklessness. I would rather put up with the deep v's than you!!!
City: Citrus HeightsTips: Why don't you send us all an emial next time you're planning to head to the Delta so the rest of us can fish elsewhere and be safe.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: In response to "myboatsfaster". Only up to 70mph when you have limited visability. You my friend are either full of it or an absolute idiot. There are other numerous ways to hurt yourself without endangering others that only want to enjoy the water and catch some fish. Pick one of the other ways, PLEASE!!!
City: Dublin -
Water Temp: 73-74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well today started out pretty foggy when I launched the Allison out of B&W. I could only get up to 70MPH with the fog, but it is really exhilarating to drive that fast when you can't see more than 15-20 yards in front of the boat. Did pretty good today once the fog burned off. Caught several dinks in the rip raps on some hand poured plastics. Then motored over to another spot and landed a 7 lb bigmouth bass with a fluke. Had to head in early and was off the water by noon. Is anyone else annoyed by the deep v's hanging out everywhere? They are always in the way.
Tips: Try different colors and presentations. Stay on the rocks, thats where the fish are.

Amador Lake
-
Water Temp: 71-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I fished Amador Friday afternoon and about 4 hrs at night. The bite was very slow and I couldn't even get the spoon bite to go. I did catch several small bass on Robo worms and finally switched to a jig around sunset. Near the dam I caught a 2 1/2 pounder and a 3 lb 3 oz bass on back to back casts. I then tried topwater and the bite was dead. Still too warm. The night fishing was very slow as the damp, clear fall nights are here. Cloudy nights are always better during fall/winter. I did hook a big fish on a brush hog, but lost her.
City: Yuba CityTips: The lake is in good shape - only down about 8 feet I think. The first trout plant happened at the beginning of the week. Cool weather WILL improve the bass bite!

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 68 - 70
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out with my buddy Tiger Sunday to try and find some fish. Had not fished the north end in a couple years so we tried that area. Started at State park with reaction baits, top water, senko, no luck. Tiger did get a dink off the rocks on a dropshot. Headed south a little then we hit some docks for a while with no luck. Then we tried some submerged rock piles that have produced in the past and struck out on those. We tried a few spots south and got a couple off Docks near the old barge. Then headed north to Rodman to try there. No luck but did see a couple fish caught by another boat. The tried points and docks along the east shore. Picked up a few (shade and tulies were key). Overall beautiful day at the lake but only 9 fish up to 2.5lbs. Not what you really look for out of clearlake. Water was very thick almost everywhere, the kind where it gets all over your rod and reel and but there were fish under there (small ones anyway).
City: PacificaTips: I'm glad we tried the north, saw lots of places I would want to hit in the spring if I came back then but I suspect the fish were deeper than we fished.

Sonoma Lake
-
Water Temp: 65-68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Found a very tough bite on Sunday; we blanked. We were at the back of Yorty Creek a few minutes before sun up, and thought we'd try some topwater for about an hour. Trolled all the way back to the mouth with nothing on spooks, buzzbaits, spoons, crankbaits, jerkbaits, and drop-shot. There were a lot of small fish busting the surface on the points next to the mouth, but I think these turned out to be the predators, not bait, as I snagged a 6'inch bass on a jerkbait. He had one hook in his mouth, so I think these small fish were doing the chasing and there were no bigger bass in the area.
We moved out to the main lake and fished in the trees until about noon throwing crankbaits, jerkbaits, and drop-shotting.
City: WindsorTips: I had it in my head that this day would be all about the crankbait based on the report below. While we were out two weeks later, temperatures have remained pretty steady since that time. We didn't have a huge arsenal of crankbaits to choose from (some Speed Traps in craw, which are normally great at this lake, and some Strike King model in bluegill and red). We talked to one other boat that had no fish.
I would like to know if anyone did well here this past weekend. Also, please post a report if you go out and fish. Even if you don't do well, the information is helpful for others. I used to rely on everyone else reporting, but then I realized that if everyone else was doing the same thing, there would be no reports, which for the most part, there are not. Post!
