      Water Temp: 49-56

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Lake is on the rise and fish are starting to move into the shallows. Started throwing reaction baits in the morning on flats with no takers, then went jigging on steep rock banks working 5 down to 40 ft. not even a tap. So I went looking for the warmest water I could find and found it in the backs of coves and the south end. Put on a brushhog(sourgrape)1/2oz. tungsten(peged) and just went flipin'. Got 5 bites in 2 ft. of water around wood, landed 4 up to 4lbs. Quit around 2pm.I saw a guy land some nice crappie...I'll have my crappie jigs next time.
      City: Fremont

Tips: If we get consistent weather the fishing should start picking up. Goodluck!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: hey whatsup guys, my report about Nicasio is i usually go there for some nice cat fishing, but its been re-dunk slow, i think its to cold, but i will fish for anything that bites my shit. So today i went to my o.g. spot, caught damn near a 2 foot carp in the first 30mins must have been around 10-15 pounds, a true chunker. after K.O.-ing that invasive carp, i cased out to the same spot and 15 minutes later i caught about a foot and a half rainbow trout, i was very surprised. i let it go, so the population stays in there. Nicasio is also great for bass

      Water Temp: 49

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My Buddy Al and I fished out of Lime Saddle Saturday afternoon on a short exploratory trip. We fished tube jigs, shakey heads & darthead and drop shot rigged roboworms in a variety of colors. We marked very little on the sonar and fished several types of water in search of fish. I managed to land one spot on a drop shotted roboworm off a north facing bank of shale. It was a slot size bass, but extremely fat and sassy. I did catch and relese a few coho on tube jigs as well. I believe there is no size limit on Lake Oroville coho, just a limit of 5 fish per angler.
      City: paradise

Tips: I hooked one fish, who am I to give tips! I can say, however, the fish hit the drop shot very softly while deadsticking the lure.

      Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Primary focus for today was to see if spawn was on or near (staging). My answer was a definite "no bite" Used weenies, cranks, jigs from 8AM to 2PM at Italian, Old River to Victoria & Widdow Is. Outgoing tide, good water, 6 mph wind, 55 deg water.
Got 5 bites all day, 4 from one very aggressive 1.5 lb male that I eventually hooked.

      Water Temp: 50-54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Water temp was a little colder than I thought it would be. Started out around 7. Surface temp read 49-50. Warmed up to 54 by mid afternoon. Water was clear. Ended up catching a small limit. Nothing over 2.5 lbs. Drop shot shad colored 4" & 6" robo worms worked best. Graphed large schools holding tight to deep structure. Caught 2 that looked to be a smallmouth/largemouth mix.
      City: Modesto

Tips: fish slow and still deep. Fish will bite just wont chase anything yet.

Report: Does anyone know what the legal size and limit of coho salmon at this lake? I'm a bass fisherman but I thought it would be nice to bring home a fish or two for dinner. Don't worry guys, I practice catch and release when it comes to bass.

Out last Sunday; small tourney going on. Stayed away from them, gave them lots of room. Saw lots of fish but nothing interested them. Tried dropshot, darthead, jig, slow-rolled spinnerbait, deadstick rip bait, bumping cranks on bottom....NOTHING. Heard the tourney guys didn't bring in much either, if anything. What's going on? Someone knows something!

Report: Fished deep off main points for most of the day used Jigs, and soft plastics. No bites in 4+ hours
in the deepest part of the lake. Fished structure on main body with some brush hogs and speed craws.
Vegetation is mostly dead and if there are fish here, I couldn't find them. I love the scenery here but can't get over the inactivity. I caught a couple of bluegill on a worm rig and a trout.
      Don't waste your time here.

Tips: Go somewhere else. Caught bass here before but that was a few years back. The bucket brigade probably took them home.

      Water Temp: 45?

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out for opening day because we heard this place has some bass. Pretty sunny with scattered clouds. We rented a boat with a electric motor. We fished deep and shallow. We through everything from drop shots and deep diving crankbait to jigs, senkos, and flipped beavers. Not a bite, we didn't see any fish or forage. All the tules were dead. I haven't seen a fish here in years...I think the lake is dead.

Report: We all know the fate of the bass in this lake. The real mystery is what the hell happens to all the trout planted. The birds take some. The fish and fisherman take less. I think most of the trout swim str8 to hell.
      City: drawbridge

Tips: Fish here long and fish here often. Expect to get skunked. Only then are you a quarry lake guru.

      Water Temp: 49-52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Saturday the 26th myself, and two other anglers, Nick and Steve, got to the Lake Sonoma at around 7am. We had post-frontal conditions, with partly cloudy skies and a light north wind. The water temp was 52 degrees with 2-4 foot clarity. Our first stop was a big flat with a few scattered rock piles, in the Warm Springs Arm. The bite was on, and in the first 20 minutes of the day we landed 7 bass, a mix of large-mouth and small-mouth. We fished 3/8 oz. jigs and Dry Creek Tubes fished in 15-25 feet of water. The key was to find those larger rock piles, and make sure to drag the bait as slow as possible. We put a few of the bass in the livewell, for pictures at the end of the day, and a couple crawdads got spit up. They were light brown with bright orange claws. We matched our jigs and tubes accordingly and worked our way through the narrows, stopping to fish any of the points that had rock. We picked up a few more small-mouth bass, all around 2lbs. From 10am-2pm, the bite got tough for us, we didn’t catch any bass, but Nick caught a nice 4lb steelhead on a crankbait. We then made a move towards back of the Warm Springs Arm. We found a couple rock piles that were stacked with fish. All were large-mouth bass, with the largest one going just over 4 pounds. By the end of the day we had caught a total of 20 bass. Monday the 28th was quite a different day. A cold storm had just arrived as we pulled up to launch the boat. There was a south wind and a heavy mist, which created a drizzle type rain that never let up all day. Right away I noticed the water temp had dropped a few degrees to 49. Ron and I fished all the areas through the narrows, where we’d been catching some nice small-mouth on Saturday, but only managed a couple tiny largemouth. It seemed many of the bass were suspended of the bottom. We worked reaction baits (spinnerbaits, ripbaits, and crankbaits), but had no luck. We went towards the back of Warm Springs to fish the rock piles that were productive on Saturday, and caught two more large-mouth on jigs, both were about a pound and a half. I dropped Ron off at the ramp at around noon and my friends, Hank and Chris, met me at the ramp. We fished around the narrows for a while but couldn’t buy a bite. For some reason this weather front really shut off the small-mouth. We then bounced around to a few new points in the Warm Springs Arm that I haven’t fished lately. All the spots were secondary points with rock. Using jigs and spinnerbaits (3/4 oz. white skirt/white blades), we caught a few more large-mouth. They weren’t as schooled up like they were before, we would hook one fish every half hour or so. By the end of the day we caught 12 large-mouth up to 3 pounds, and no small-mouth.
