      Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

      Report: Fished from 8am-2pm all large mouth today, great day to be on the water, 4 on a spook in lake fork color, 2 on swim bait 120 bottom walker slow rolling it on the bottom in 20'. 1 on a buzz bait late in the day in the flats. Finished up with dart heas in the main body and got 3 more to go. all in all good day. best 5 went 14-15 pounds.

      Report: Got on the lake around 9 am. It shortly started to drizzle and did not stop. Fished the back coves. Caught 2, one large mouth that must have been close to 8 lbs. on a drop shot curly tail worm. And one spot around 1 1/2 lb. on a top water popper.

      Report: fished up there 18th 19th and 20th rained pretty much the whole time with wind haven't ever fished there before and Rolfy and managed to catch a few..still largemouth and the smallmouth are full of eggs. Caught them up 3lbs both largemouth and smallmouth on dropshots and cranking on mainbody points creek channels and up on the rock piles in the northend of the lake at Trinity center. fish were all hanging from 16 ft on points to 4ft in the coves.

      Report: Another large mouth this time caught by the rabbi on a fluke. 19 1/2 appr. 3 lbs. Late evening south fork. I caught 4 dinks. Jitterbug caught big fish 5lb carp.
      Nice to see all the large mouth showing up. Most that i can remember for a long while now. Maybe lake record will get broken this year.

      Report: Two of us fished this past Sunday. We got on the water abotu 9:30 and were off at 7:30. Between us we caught 43 bass. Ten were over the slot, ten were under the slot and the rest in the slot. Two were small mouth and approx. 8 were largemouth. About 10 were on minnows, one on spinnerbait, two on dart headed worm and the rest on senko's. The fish were in the back of some of the coves and at ohter times they were on the points. Some areas of the lake, the water was very clear and other areas were it was windy, the water was stained.

      Report: Fished with bro-in-law today from 1:30 pm to 4. Had to leave cause of rain. Had one nice spot about 2 lbs. Hit it on a smoke/purple with flakes Senko. Felt like I had weeds all the way til the fish jumped out of the water!

      Tips: Fish very slow. Tried spinnerbaits, topwater sammy's, jigs, and Senkos. The Senko seems to be most productive at this lake for this time of year. I can't wait til they start committing to spinnerbaits and crankbaits!!!

      Report: Launched out of wimpy's, headed north towards snod and meadows, water was dingy so I started huckin' a white revenge spinnerbait/gold willow in the tree's, no takers. Headed south to find clear water, ended up in beaver a ways and started huckin' two different speed traps. Proceeded to boat 6 largies to 3.5lbs and 3 linesides to 16"
      City: Elk Grove

      Tips: Largemouth were right up on the rip-rap, stripers were a little deeper on the edge of a wind-blown mud line. Keep the boat in about 12' to 14' of water.

      Report: Got out on the lake around 9:30 in the morning. (late start). We fished the South Fork but nothing, did not even see fish on the graph. Do not know where they were. If anyone can tell me where they have gone, I would appreciate it.

      Report: began the morning off fishing timber using dropshot and topwater. nothing on topwater though we did catch five on dropshot then when the sun was up we moved into coves and points with wood using dropshots and jigs. caught about 10 until the bite slowed down then the wind picked and the bite went crazy caught 3 two pound largies in a row on consecutive cast down a creek channel. the largies r in lookin for beds. we decided to stick to this pattern and looked for creek channel with wood around them and as we were fishing we started seeing a bunch of fish suspended on the wood in the back of this coves and then a big with two huge laregmouth guarding it. soo we backed off and came back in and after 45 mins finally pissed her off enough to bit it turned out to be a 6 pounder.

      Tips: finished the day with 45 fish all using dropshots and jigs and senkos. sight fihsing was fun.in some spots u could see 20 ft down in others about a foot. using a watermeleon dropshot wrom and also shad patterns like holo shad.

      Report: Went shore fishing for a change and hooked up with some nice fish. 6 fish total (2-3 lbs)with an 8 lb kicker. Woo! 5 caught using various plastics and one on a spinnerbait. No top water action again. Water needs to clear up a bit more.

      Tips: Leave the boat at home and save some gas money. Go shore fishing :).

      Report: In the morning, fished south end of Mildred Island. 2-5 feet deep in tule's near deep drop offs. Slight breeze, water clear. Used 7' Zoom green lizard on short Carolina rig. Boated 5 1.5# - 2.5# keepers in a couple of hours. Move out to Turner cut, got very windy, nothing. Then back to old river at Italian slough, VERY windy and water went to muddy (wind and wake boats) nothing there either. Left for home early.

      Tips: Look for clearer water later when the heavy wind and boat traffic picks up. Don't get stuck on one bait (like I am right now).

      Report: Got at 23 lb 5 fish limit this evening with a 9 lb kicker just camping out behind the sail boat club today. I did not get "BASSBUSTER1" launched until about 5:45 p.m. so I decided not to make any long runs this time. I used black jigs and 7 inch berkley powers worms. I was surprised to not even get a single frog bite this time.

      Tips: Keep changing lures and techniques until Mr. Bass tells you what he/she wants for dinner. :-)

      Report: What a nice day yesterday for this guide. I took a father and his 9 year old son and a friend of the father. We basically stayed in the Rattlesnake arm for the trip and mostly sight-fished. The 9 year old will be ready for the future-pro circuit at age 10!! What a hoot! After dad caught the first two bass on MMIII Robo worms on a rock flat, we decided to sight-fish since the water was calm. The young man caught the first - and last sight-fish, all on his own! The first was over 3 lbs and the second was over 3 1/2. I'll put his photo up next week. I did nothing for him except to rig his #169 Yamamoto grub. Dad and his friend caught the rest using a Blade Runner white jig with a Yamamoto trailer. The 3 of them caught all the bass - about 10 or 11 for about 16 1/2 - 17 lbs. We watched several bass spawning - fun. Hope the tournament guys don't take too many off the nests this weekend! I had a trip on Thursday too with 3 guys. It was breezy and the bite was much slower - they did catch a few thankfully. What a difference a day can make this time of year!!

      Tips: I assume some of the early spawners will be hanging out in and around deep docks and could be caught with Senkos and other slow-falling baits. The frog and topwater bite should start soon. Again - next weeks weather is going to be cool. Will we ever see the '90's??

      Report: The water was gin-clear. I went with a good friend in his boat. We started in the area of the vineyards. We tried topwater first thing in the morning. Got some great blowups on a chartreuse super spook, however, they were missing it. I know that sometimes you can change to a different topwater lure and nail em. I got impatient and went to a senko, color 297 (green pumpkin). I got 2 nice spots (both over 3 lbs.) They were male cruisers, definitely not schooling. Significant waits between bites seem to be the rule of thumb. My partner got another spot near the Putah Creek bridge. We didn't stay on the lake long. I believe that for now, a slow worm presentation is a good approach. I do think there were more nice fish in the vineyard area.

      Tips: Always consider the Senko color 297. I like the 5 inch size. I wacky rig it in the center. That action seems to really attract some good bites. Remember, you can use this presentation in shallow water too, even if it's only 1 or 2 feet deep. Not many people do this, but I've caught some lunkers using this technique. I use a drop shot set-up at almost any depth. I personally use light line, around 8 lb test works for me. Yes, I sometimes get broken off, but I get so many bites that it's worth it.

      Report: Smashed the hell out of them today using a paddle tail swimbait! Fairly windy, enough to stir a bite. Spinnerbaits drew no attention but a 5 inch paddle tail caught me 14 fish with the biggest close to 5lbs. All bites came in two hours later in the afternoon.

      Report: caught two fish one of which was a dink and the other which was between 9-10lbs personal best by at least 3 lbs. Both fish came on brush hogs.

      Report: Went out with Bob Myskey on my first ever guide trip. My fantastic wife gave it to me as a b-day gift. Bite was reported to be slow and very tough. It was, the bites were very subtle and you had to fish SLOW. Senko / Dropshot got our 9 fish. Bob had great stories, taught us a few nice tricks and I recommend him to anyone interested in a guide. He shared tips, techniques, locations, and told great fishing stories. Best 5 probably 15# and BF probably 4#.

      Tips: Slow / Dead Stick even..... if you get a chance and can swing it I recommend setting up a trip with Bob (bassin with bob).

      Report: Started About 10:00, finished up about 3:00. Caught 6 total with only four being legal. Biggest about 2 pounds. Alternated between drop shot, crawdad senko, and texas rigged brownish orange worm. Caught fish on all three, but senko brought the most strikes.

      Tips: All my strikes came after letting bait sit for atleast 20 seconds.
