      Water Temp: 47-54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Wednesday's trip was very encouraging. We found most of the feeding bass in 5-10ft. The morning bite was better then the afternoon. We landed 25 for the day but lost a lot and had around 12 over. The numbers are'nt huge but it shows the bass are fineally coming up and getting ready to spawn. This next full moon should provide more numbers and size. Fished the West Branch and the slot. Hits came on rattle trap, shad color, tubes in clear sparkle, green, motor oil and craw colors and jigs in gray/purple and brown/cinnamon
      City: Paradise

Tips: Fished long stretches of bank to find a group of bass feeding and then another long stretch to find another group. No real pattern.

      Water Temp: high 50's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Great day on the water. Not a whole lot of bites, but they were quality fish. My fishing buddy and I had a total of 8 bites for the day, but they produced 4 bass (2, 2.5, 3.5, and 5.5 lbs) and 3 stripers (6, 9, and 15 lbs). A 1/2 oz white chatterbait with a 4" yamamoto Kut Tail (color 922) accounted for the largest 3 bass and the smallest striper in a 100 yard stretch of Potato Slough. The remaining fish were caught on a 1/2 oz shad color Rat L Trap.
      City: Dixon

Tips: We fished the chatterbait inside the weedline and were able to pull the fish out. The one bite that I didn't land appeared to be a decent fish too since it swam into the thickest part of the weeds and came unbuttoned. Stripers are hitting Rat L Traps so be prepared. Our last 3 trips have resulted in 9 keeper size stripers being caught.

Report: Hey fishboy, nice largemouth from Mossdale! You say you traveled down river? Is that towards Tracy/ Stockton, or Merced River? I'm looking at the new housing tracts in Lathrop near Mossdale and was looking for some tips. Thanks and happy fishin!!!

Report: At first the Great Lakes were very concenred about the Zebra Mussels and now the fishing for Bass in the great lakes is better than it has ever been. There is no obvious way top kill off the Quagga short of draining the lake and starting over and then there is no guarntee that they would kill all of them. Lake Casitas has been a good source of revenue for the city of Ojai for many years and can continue to do so for eternity. It's time to learn to evolve and accept those things that cannot be changed. some intelligence needs to be applied and quit panicing over something so trivial. Bass fisherpeople contribute a great deal to our economy and should be appreciated not punished.

      Tips: Tight lines

      Water Temp: 50-55

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went to clear lake yesterday with my brother & son for mixed results. 20 fish but a small bag, maybe around 15 lbs??? Fished any notable point of interest in the North only. Hit just about everything from Lucerne to Rocky point to swim bait cove to Kelsy creek to State park to Horseshoe to Buckingham & more. Results My brother-13 fish - dropshot(7)Rip(2)swimbait(4 fish used a 6 inch swim bait but nothing over 3 lbs all choked the bait too, wierd??)My 12y old son - 2 drop shot, Me-5 only(I was pissed) 1 rip,4 dropshot to 3 lbs) I was surprised that the rip bait bit was freakin slow considering the water Temp. Talked to some anglers and guess we made a mistake by not going South. All swim bait bits were deeper, nothing shallow. Personally my day went like this- my arm was about to fall off from casting various swimbaits all day. I did miss my only one bit on a baitsmith then lost the lure mid air on the very next cast. 30 bucks down the drain, oh yeah, I also snapped a 200.00 rod in half somehow, had 15 out of the blue birds nest and lost one of my favorite rip baits on deep tule snag, there was more too. It was one of those days. Anyways just venting, I did managae to have a great time with my family so as long as your fishing have fun.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 2-6pm with my new pontoon boat/trolling motor....kick ass fun. Made a few new aquaintances...good fun was had by all...everyone seemed to be getting into fish. Nice job, Bo, catching the big ones today. I only managed 3 bass between 2 and 4 lbs. and one nice trout on a crankbait. At least they are where they are supposed to be right now. One bass and the trout fell for a medium running crankbait and the others on a wacky rigged senko.
      City: Antioch

Tips: fish the tullies....you'll see them rubbing against them as the make their way to the shore.

      Water Temp: unsure

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Showed up at McCabe's point at about 4pm yesterday fishing off of bank with two buddys and immediately got hits from slotty-spottys and smaller spots on small worms fished slowly- basically dragged-on split shots and carolina rigged-color did not seem to matter but we used reds and pinks mostly. Hits came between 20ft out up about 5 ft out. Also got repeated hits from same fish with different worms. Obviously fish are finally coming up to stage on points but females did not appear to have many eggs yet. Fished into the trees but bite seemed to stop inside of coves and most bites on points or on depth changes of flats. Hopefully fat largemouths and bigger spots will show up later in moon cycle. Water way way down-need some rain to be more productive. Also caught a fat 3lb female largemouth in pond at wildlife area sunday that was about three quarters full of eggs- Afterbay anyone?
      City: Oroville

Tips: Drag skinny worms slow at lake oroville for spots-If you catch a largemouth increase size of worm and hook for incoming females. Want bigger fish-try afterbay and ponds or get a guide and hit the delta. Good luck and remember to always practice catch and release to live to fight another day!

      Water Temp: 46-50

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished a tourney Sunday out of Jones Valley. Ran up the Pit arm and found some fish within the first 100yds of bank we stopped on. Caught a couple of runts under 12 and decided to move. Found a creek cove with steep banks and trees in about 30-40 ft. of water and started catching quality fish in the 15-16" range, one smallie that was almost 2lbs. We had a 7.5lb limit within the first 2hrs. Moved back out to the arm and fished a rocky bank that normally produces quality fish. My partner caught one 3.3lbs and another 2.9 there. Moved to another big fish spot and banged one more solid 2 pounder. Continued to fish until 3pm and caught some more typicall Shasta dinks. We ended up taking first with just under twelve lbs. and second and third place also had nice sacks with just under 11 and 10 lbs.. Third place had big fish with a 4lb+ Spot. Sveral other teams had a fish over 3lbs. Overall everyone seemed to have a great time and caught a fair amount of fish.

Tips: Fish slow; bite is very light. Ther were a few rip fish caught, and a lot caught worming. We caught our fish on darter headed worms in 20-40ft. No real pattern to the location of fish. Saw alot of bait balls on the graph but no fish busting them on surface. A couple more weeks will be a great time to take out the kids to catch some nice Shasta bass.

Report: went out on Sunday from 7-12 noon. Had success right off the bat at first stop and had thoughts of a big day on Folsom. My buddy lost a huge fish on a drop shot, we never did see her but it must have been a huge spot by the way it worked him over, after a long battle it finally broke off the hook. It has been awhile since I have seen that on Folsom and that includes fish over 7lbs so it was a biggin. anyways, managed 6 fish total best five went 13 1/2 lbs with nice big healthy cold spots in the 2 1/2- 3 lb range. fished main body (52 deg) and tried many places but found the fish holding only on 1 location. Wanted to fish the South fork but it was at 47 degrees, wierd but must be cold from all of the snow melt???
