      Water Temp: 79

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Joe Miller and I got in the water at 5:30am (the gate opened up early for people to get out). Cranked down a rocky bank on the main body, on fish on a buzz bait. Started using Capt Jack's Jigs in Brown/Purple and Green Pumkin with Green Purple flake. After staying in the main body until 11:30am using 10 jigs we got 40 + spots and largies to the boat. Our best was 15 lbs +.
some of those largies felt like a five plus, but only 3.0 lbs +. Good day on the water with my new Jigs.
If you would like some just email me.
      City: Rocklin

Tips: Fish the rocky banks, rocky banks in 5-20 ft and slow.

      Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Early launch to investegate my new home waters. I fished topwater all day long ( until 2 ). I had a few fish slap my buzzbait so I changed from all white to more of a shad color and caught 4 fish to 4 pounds. As I cruised the lake I'm always amazed to see nothing where I think fish should be and then find a little pocket less than 20 yards long with 10 fish over 5 pounds staring back at me. The big zara spook immitation I'm throwing started catching fish around 11:30 when the mudlines started to form. The fish came from deep and shallow and wanted a slow retrieve with as much walk the dog side to side action you can give it without moving it forward. If had not been so hot I would have hung around longer as the topwater seemed to be getting better but it was over 90 and and still climbing so I split.
      City: Ojai

Tips: If you are looking to catch fish a drop shot on the submerged island just might the ticket. If the shad pop up in the back of a cove a shad colored crank needs to be at the ready.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Spent a week at Clear lake and had a great time cacthing fish. Fished with Guide Bob Myskey on Mon. and got my personal best 8 lb 14 oz. on a Sammy top water. Also got a 6.8 on a Shell Cracker. Ended the day with another 6.2 on a popper for 31LBs in best 5 fish. Bob Myskey is without a doubt the best guide I have ever fished with.Just a note,Stayed at Konocti Vista and on Sat Morning there was a small club tournamentin which someone in that club ran into my boat and caused pretty good damage to my motor housing. There was no one else moored there. If the guilty one reads this have some guts to at least apologize.

      Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I guided two guys today - caught nearly 50 - over 20 lb limit - thank you and goodby! Bet none of you thought I could make my report like that - you're right!! These reports are getting boring - someone needs a slow day for variety!!!! Anyway, this morning was chilly (amazing weather for this last week of June) and windy and the bite started kind of slow for us. The lake is dropping a bit so we concentrated on off-shore structure the whole trip. We didn't catch any real big bass, maybe because of the previous report - they caught them all! Seriously, the night bite is on because of the full moon and clearer water. Most of our bass were caught deeper than 15 feet - on rock.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: We really tried to force the jig bite and it was ok, but the worm bite ruled for us. Again, green pumpkin was just about all we threw. We used Berkley Power worms, Dead Ringers, and drop-shotted the MMIII Robo worm. We did break off a big fish drop-shotting.

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I CAUGHT A 8-9 POUNDER TODAY ON A BLUEGILL SWIM BAIT AND I ALSO CAUGHT A 4 POUNDER. I THINK THE BASS ARE LOOKING FOR BIGGER FOOD THEY CAN EAT BECAUSE I TRIED WACKY WORMS DROP SHOTTING AND SHAKEY HEAD AND I DIDNT EVEN GET A BITE. THERE ARE BIG BLUEGILL EVERYWHERE ON THE LAKE SO I THINK BLUEGILL SWIM BAITS ARE BETTER FOR BIG FISH.
      City: PITTSBURG

      Tips: BLUEGILL SWIM BAITS

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started at first light. Fished in 10-30 feet of water. Caught 23 fish on drop shots, darterhead panic minnows, and small topwater. Key for me has been keeping the plastic baits on the bottom.

Had a 7lb & 5lb class fish and a 3.8lb. Should have entered the Ironman event today; I would have done ok. :)

      Water Temp: 76-79

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I have been to Eastman twice during the last two weeks. On June 24, 2007, the bite was on all day and the quality bite was on also. We had two limits over 20 lbs with the best five 23+ lbs. Big fish was 6.56 and we had another 5 lb fish. We caught fish in Topwater, Jigs and swimbaits. On June 30, 2007, the bite was all day but the quality was off. We did have one big fish between 7-8 and several other fish in the 2-3 lb range. The bite was a little bit slower, most likely due to the full moon but all in all we had a great time.

Tips: Topwater and Jigs were the best producers.

Report: Started out early using a Lunker Punker Trout spook. I at least 10 blowups and landed 7 Bass along the points. The largest was 7.9 and the rest were in the 3-4 pound range. One of my best topwater day so far. Ended the day tossing jigs.

      Water Temp: 74-75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I took a grandpa from our church and his two visiting grandsons, age 11 and 18, for a fun trip to Oroville. As has been the case this year so often, the youngest showed the oldest how to catch the biggest! He landed a 15 1/4" spot on a prizm shad Robo worm. Actually, his older brother landed a big spot in the early morning, but jumped out of the boat as he was unhooking it! She looked to be 16" or more - but was over the slot. I caught a 15 1/8" and we boated 27 in the 4 1/2 hour trip. We fished the north fork main body points early but the south wind forced us into coves later in the morning. The bite continues to be good - we just fished shadows as much as we could and then moved deeper as the sun got higher. Oroville continues to provide fun fishing, especially for the young ones just learning1
      City: Yuba City

Tips: With 4 in the boat, we just threw worms - 4 and 6 inch Berkley Power worms and Robo worms. Morning Dawn color did not work well, but prizm shad and green craw worms did. The black 4" Berkley Power worms caught some too. I did try a Rodstrainer jig and caught a few also - wasn't sure if they were still working as summer approaches. We drop-shotted some Basstrix flashtrix minnows and the youngster even mastered that too. Future pros in the making!!! Stay in the shadows as long as you can. Early fish were 15-20 feet deep and later down to 30-35.

Report: ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO TELL THE WEATHER BUREAU THEY ARE FULL OF POO? DROVE ALL THE WAY TO THE LAKE EXPECTING 6 MPH WINDS. EVEN IF YOU DOUBLE IT YOU DON'T GET 20+? fISHING IS STILL WIDE OPEN.
      City: orangevale

Tips: THROW RATTLE TRAPS IN THE WIND. WATERMELON COLORS WORK BEST FOR PLASTICS. Good luck feeling the bite though. Really would like to know what the weather will be before driving for 3 hours. Those 3 foot white caps wear me out.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished with a friend from 5 pm - 3 am on a Thursday, couple days before full moon, strong delta breeze in afternoon that died at night. Daytime fishing was slow except for dusk which was just okay. Night time bite didn't start up until about 11:30 pm. Total of about 15-20 fish. Most baits worked - only baits NOT productive were topwater and jig.

      Water Temp: 71 Early Mornin

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started Fishing early morning around 6:30 am. I hit the east side of Arrowhead island for no takers. I threw a Rapala XRap 4" glass ghost colors for no takers. I then switched to a drop shot Oxblood robo color for nothing as well. I made my way around the south side of the island eventually to the east and switched between a silver 4" top water zara spook, robo worm and XRap. No takers. I decided to move to a little deeper by going over to the Chalks Bluffs. I finally got my first hit off of a drop Shot in about 15 feet of water. I continued for another 20 minutes for no takers. Fished in front of the Restricted Area on the drops and caught 4 - 5 dinks. All caught on drop shot robo's oxblood. Gotta love the smallies!! Got a little windy so I cruised over to the eastern Chalk Bluffs Point. Worked my way North for no takers. I threw everything but the kitchen sink. Cruised North to Johnson Canyon and threw a drop shot setup again. No takers. I switched to a spinner bait and got a couple taps, no takers unfortunately. Decided to finish my day in Bobcat Canyon. Caught a couple more dinks on drop shot. Man those smallies fight good!!!
      City: Camarillo

Tips: Drop shot seemed to be the best weapon. Did not see any Shad this time. I think the full moon had a large effect on the bite. Tight lines.
