Report: Found some smallmouth bass on gravel beds, some on points and some cruising the back of coves.

Also talked to another gent who was doing good on small craw colored crankbaits.

Tips: Look for gravel near clay banks where wind waves break directly onto shore.
Just because the water's cold don't mean they won't bite!

      Water Temp: 55.8

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Thought I'd get a little more mileage out of my 05 fishing license so went out this morning. Didn't get on the water till 9 but was surprised to find a few trailers in the parking lot. Planned on drop shotting a new bait I have but the first rod out of the locker had a jig on it so I thought I'd give it a try. 3 casts later I had my first fish. Never left site of the I-70 bridge and caught 15 really nice fish on the same jig that had been tied on from 2 weeks before, a Bass Patrol 3/8 ounce with 3.0 hook and brown/purple. I used Yamamoto #221 double tail grub trailer. Never found groups of fish to drop shot and never tried any other bait. It was absolutely beautiful out there and quite, I mean really quite. The best bite seemed to be on or to the left or right of a point. I did fish a lot of useless bank but didn't feel like running around. Hey to all of you that celebrate the holidays, all the best to you and yours and to those of you that don't, all the best to you and yours as well. Good fishing.
      City: Paradise

Tips: Did fish slow, but not sure that it mattered. Just love fish when they thump a jig and all of the ones I caught really ate it. Lake is up a bunch and there is debris in the water. Not sure you have to run around to catch fish, just put the trolling motor down and go for it.

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I personally don't have a good catching report to give.Fished skirted grubs, spoons, and drop-shot all afternoon with minimum success, but I did talk with a guy who said he and his partner had a bunch of fish to 4.5 lbs. on rip baits up shallow. The lake looks like it has come up around 2-3ft with this series of storms(that's a lotta water), and it's muddy as hell at Redbud ramp.Guess I'm gonna have to remember that if you can't get even a dink to hit a drop-shot, ya better try to get the total reaction bite, although I did try spinnerbaits in tulles with no luck. None the less, the day on Clearlake was extraodinary. Cali rules!! Merry Christmas.

      Tips: Minners?

      Water Temp: 51 to 53

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: With warmer wather in store for this weekend will put the bass up shallow in 15 to 25 feet of water. Rock piles on or around them hold bass to 4 pounds. There are bigger fish being caught and your changes are good you will get some bass to 4 pounds. 8 and 9.5 top last weekends fishing with traffic very lite at the lake. Lite pumpkin green jigs in 3/8 oz w/ yamamato watermalon single grubs wored will for me. i worked work pile edges and fished slow for some very solid bass. WELL BE THERE SATURDAY MORNING EARLY.
      City: kerman ca.

Tips: Fish slow rock piles hold most of the fish in 15 to 25 feet of water. my choice is 3/8 oz football lite pumpkin green with a single tail yamamato watermelon red & black flake grub there on a crawdad bite now in this warmer weather.

Report: Peace, Joy, and Happiness to all. If you don't do anything else this Holiday season, the next time you're out on one of our beautiful Northern California Lakes, take a moment and look around, take in the spectacular scenery, and think about Who provided it for us. Then think about those in the Middle-East who are protecting it for us. God Bless and Happy Holidays!

      Water Temp: 51-52

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Cold Day. Pretty windy as well. Our boat caught a total of three fish today for 6 hours of fishing. First fish(3.5lbs) was caught by the spillway on a hoola grub with a football head 3/8 oz. jig in grape brown. It was in about 5 feet of water. Second fish(3.6lbs) was at the end of a cove in about three feet of water with the same lure and the third(2.8lbs) was caught across from the spillway in about 8 feet of water on a brown 3/8oz. jig with a purple trailer and a rattle on it. My buddy missed a nice one on a 8 inch black and blue worm in cherry cove. Couldn't really find a pattern, it was a tough bite and we tried many spots and many presentations. Most action came off of banks with the wind hitting them.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Throw jigs, and hula grubs. Fish slow, although the person who caught the two 3 1/2 pounders got on the boat midday and was moving his hula grubs pretty fast. Darker colors because the water is beginning to get real murky. Bass are suspended in many places, so get the suspended bass with appropriate techniques(drop shot, spooning) I'd say sleep in, and try and get em' later in the day.
