      Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out at first light,(had to adjust for the time change)with buddy, Ed. Launched outta Holland & stayed within a mile or so of the ramp. Caught a fair amount of decent fish (7 or 8) on both char/white blades tight to tules/downed wood structures. Also fished along some rip-rap with a nice shelf and landed a couple nice fatties on 6" senkos, dark colors. Was off the water by 11 with, I think a dozen fish. Probably had a 12lb bag of 5. Action was better than I expected. Also, the water has cleared up nicely over the last few days.

Tips: Get out there and rip some lip!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out with Cooch yesterday and had a good time, but not fun loosing the Donkey he mentioned. I went out today at 9:00 out of Dissapointment (King Island). I applied all of Cooch's techniques and teaching and caught a couple of Hawgs. They went 2, 4.5, 5.5, 2, and three or four dinks. All of them were caught on Senkos in the dock. I guess I did kind of redeamed myself. PS Thanks Cooch, I had a great time learning.
      City: Sacramento

      Tips: Target areas without current.

      Water Temp: 57-58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water at 6:30 threw crawdad crank baits and rip baits on flats. Took 2 nice females off the edge of flats in about 8 ft water. Switched to spinnerbait picked up 1 small male. Took 2 nice largemouth in 8 ft water off the tailings using a 4 inch green weenie roboworm.
      City: Sacramento CA

Tips: Fish seem to be staged and not up on beds yet. Try fishing the edges of flats. I had most of my success throwing crankbaits banging the bottom along the edges of flats.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: By the way, addition to my last report, WATER LEVEL IS HIGH! Highest ive seen it ever! and with this rain, ooo, even higher and muddier, hope it clears up so the water can clear up in less than a week...

      Water Temp: low 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The Big fish are coming up, my partner and I had a 5 fish limit that would have gone over 18 lbs, with a 8 lb kicker, swim baits and worms will get you some nice fish. saw some large fish but they were not interested in our offerings. things should be wide open by next weekend
      City: Fresno

Tips: go to Don Pedro and fish, what else can I say

      Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: While waiting for my partner who forgot about day light savings time, I hooked a 1 pound smallie in the cove at Folsom Point launch ramp on a white and blue spinnerbait. The only other fish was a 2+ spot on a green Senko in the New York Creek Cove in about 10 feet of water.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Small baits worked from the shoreline out to deeper water seemed to get the most attention early. Sides of the coves in the early morning and then the creek channel in the afternoon seemed to be where the fish were holding.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Out at the Lake for 2 hours - no bass. I did get a good look at some very large carp, koi and goldfish in the shallows at the bridge on the South Lake. Dozens of them. Rolling around, laying eggs, running in packs...These might be putting the bass off of the bite. Reminded me of Clear Lake in June.

Report: To Shannon coming up 4/30/05. Just ask the guy who took you Striper fishing a few years ago & you will do alright. Don't believe every thing you read in these reports. If the weather is good fishing will be good. Last year at that time smallies were on beds in flats. Some times they are on banks waiting to be ripped. Put alot of gas in the boat, enjoy the beauty of the lake, Alps & wild life, they are worth the trip. Pray for good weather. See you & your father in law in a few weeks

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Bass were on the shore handling their business. I 6 bed fish in the two hours I was there. I caught 4 on a rattle trap all at 2.2, 2.5, 3.4 and 3.2 those were the males. The other two were females and they were caught on 4.25 sweet beavers. They weighed in at 5.9 and 7.12. What a great day.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Just piss off the male, catch him, put him somewhere else and wait for the female to move in then, take her out.

      Water Temp: 57

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fishing was good. Caught 4 carolina brush hog fish early off a point in 15 ft. Moved to a grass line and picked up 5 rip bait fish. Switched to spinner bait and caught 6 all on wood. Biggest was 3lbs on the spinner bait.

Now for the most unusual thing that I have ever experienced in years of fishing. I had seen a snake in the middle of a cove I was fishing that swam away when I cast my spinner bait across its back. After fishing the cove I went to the back of my Bass Tracker to check to see if I needed the bilge pump. When I reached for my back hatch I saw movement about 10" from my hand. It was a damn rattlesnake, ready to strike. It had crawled in my boat and wrapped around the base of my Merc. I yelled at two guys in a Ranger that I had a rattlesnake in my boat. They thought I was crazy until I trolled over next to them. They freaked. I wanted their help in case I got snake bit. I used my long pole aft running light to uncoil this 4ft beast and send him swimming to shore. First rattler I had ever seen in water. I think he was attacted to my warm engine because he did not want to leave.
      City: Foster City

Tips: When they quit hitting a lure don't hesitate to switch. The fish were agressive and wanted a reaction bait once the water warmed and the wind picked up. Also, if you see a snake in the water don't take your eye off him until you know he is well clear of your boat. If they have an arrow shaped head (poisionous) and rattles on the tail give it some extra room.

      Water Temp: 59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Good numbers day. Couldn't start the motor and had some length electrical problem so could only use trolling motor, in fact couldn't get the motor back up and had to drive home w/ it 6 inches from ground (not fun). Fished for about 3 hrs with finder and bilge going in and out but managed 10+, biggest going 2+ (had to only fish about 300 yards of shore). Got two rip fish and the rest dropshotting. Wish we could have hit more water.
      City: San Carlos

Tips: If you want to put some fish in the boat, throw the dropshot. Move to a litte deeper water to get a bit more size. Rip fish are there but would have liked to throw the jig more than I did but hard to get strategic when you can't move around. Good day though.

Report: Went out on Sat. for first time on the delta expecting good numbers. In 10 hrs. on white's only caught 4 fish. Buddies caught a striper a piece. I boated a 8.3 large mouth and my friend got a 5.3 large mouth. No other fish all day. All LM and one striper came off of senkos and one striper came off of a lucky craft rip bait.

      Water Temp: 58-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: As expected, the bite was slow with the cold front approaching. We only had 7 hits and 4 fish boated. 11 inches, 12 inches, 2 and 5 pounds. 1 fish hit the jig, the others came on senkos. Fished Potato and White's Sloughs.

Tips: Cooch fished the same day and did well. Does that mean he exaggerated and is not being realistic??? No, I think he just knows how to catch fish on the delta. That could be the case with the Lee Brothers. Keep them reports coming. I'll keep posting my lousy reports to keep it balanced ... HAR!

      Water Temp: 58-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a guide trip on the River on Saturday, the bite was slow with two lil keepers on a Zipper at 7:00am. Then got a couple of big girls ta come up and take a Spook along a deep rock wall. Caught a few more fish pitchin Jigs before we went and found some 9L Senko fish in a Marina. Then headed ta Disco looking for more staging fish. Noticed a lot of lil fish 5-10" right on the bank in the trough sunnin' themselves. Started putting a Robo dropshot in MMIII into the grass and catch a couple of two pounders, figured the better fish had ta be somewhere close and began pitchin a 9 series Senko to the docks, Surprise, surprise, 6 pounder, 5 pounder, Client loose a donkey, then gets a 3.90. We then moved out to a deep rock wall and cranked a couple of 3 pounders on the red Bomber and got two more on a brown jig. All in all, slow bite but a very good day over all.
      City: Oakley

Tips: Fish are still transitioning, but starting to move up. Saw a few small bucks on Beds in the Big Break Marina at the end of the day on the low tide. River is still very stained in many areas. We had to really work hard for our bites, and constantly try different techniques. Amazingly, we caught em on Topwater, cranks, 9 & 9L Senkos, T-rigged Zippers, a dropshot and jigs. Gonna bust lose any time now!

Report: Well the weather is warming up a bit and once again I find myself itching to do a little carp shooting. I was hoping that a few of you bass fisherman out there would have some ideas for me about where to go, when the spawn starts, and are there any carp cruising around lately? I appreciate any info you have. Thank you and good luck with the bass.

Report: I took my brother and son out. We got on the lake about 8:30 out of the north ramp. We went east of the ramp and fished crank baits and tubes. I landed 2 1.5lbs off the crank and that was it. We also went by the dam and up by the river inlet nothing

      Water Temp: 55-60

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished on 3/31 and 4/1 in and around Rodman Slough. The bass definitely seem to be relating more to the main lake. I did everything wrong, using big lures in midday, going to ultralight during low light. It didn't work, but this is how we prove things to ourselves. I saw several guys doing things right and catching some good bass, so I found out by observation what's working now.
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: The bass are definitely much more active when the sun is shining or in the evening. They appear to be holding very close to or in emergent tules, in the warmest pockets and holes, most probably in the late prespawn stage. They don't appear to be chasing shad in open water off the points much. Lures larger than the shad (4"-6" lures) work much better than good shad imitations. With more unsettled weather expected, I'd expect the bass to stay tight to the tules.
