      Water Temp: ??no gauge??

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Same as the previous two reports.....not even a bite! Launched outta Tiki. Fished around Whiskey. Senkos, spinnerbait, jig, and dropshot. Not even a touch. One guy on a boat said that there had been a big sea lion cruisin' the cut we were fishing for 3 days prior. That didn't help the bite any. Only on the water for 4 hours. had a dead battery, lost a rod and reel in the drink, no fish, least the weather was real nice. I agree, January is real tough on the Delta.
      City: Ceres

      Tips: FISH A LAKE!!!!

      Water Temp: 47-48

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Lauched at 8 a.m. fished Old River. Graphed some stripers from the big bridge to Widows. The broken back was nonproductive in the 2 colors I used. A couple of guys I talked to were not catching fish either so I went for largemouth. 47 degree water. January. These fish eat 1 time every 3 weeks and they all must have eaten.I was able to check new water and practice casting. I saw a couple more bass boats zipping up and down the river, why I don't know. January never is a good month in the Delta for me. 0 fish for 100 hours over the years. I still had to report. It is so weird catching 0.0 in places that kick butt when it's warmer. The duck hunters are out in force. It was a nice sunny day .

      Tips: Dynamite.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fishing has been very good. I fished today and yesterday between bayliss point and Konocti with very good success on rip baits. In about six hours of fishing total I caught about 40 fish. Nothing over three pounds, but hit some quality schools of fish where they were averaging about 2 1/2 pounds. Also caught seven fish split-shotting, but switched back over to rippin cause the action was faster. I also lost and missed several fish and had one at the boat kick it that was probly close to five.
      City: Lower Lake

Tips: Boat docks and rock-walls are where the fish seemed to be holding. Getting adjecent to rock walls and ripping in about 6-8 feet of water gave me the best success.

Report: Beautiful day, getting out in the sun was a blast, fishing was a waste. One rat and one nice trout. Jig bite was non-existant, no interest in split shot or texas rigs, blades didn't get their attention, neither did ripping. Even tried topwater - nada. Fish came on drop-shot, 25 -35 feet.
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Wait for temp to rise or water to clear.

Report: It was a special treat for me as I fished with my friend John Gray the other guide on Trinity Lake, We both had a good day launching at 0715 on a cold foggy morning, went stright to the ball park and started with a MGM HDI in green on a 3/4 football jig,on my 1st cast I got a 1.5 lm next I switched to a MGM Eel in the same color got a 2.0 sm. now that I had tried the two baits and saw that they worked I went to my go to bait for Trinity a MGM black hooktail again on the 1st cast 3.5 lm about this time I notice that John was starting to look worried but not to worry he hooked up with a nice 2.0 sm then a 4.5 lm we proceeded to catch appox. 30 fish, John with a proworm and small tube bait and myself with my black hooktail. Our best five 15.5 lbs. pretty good for 46 degree water this time of the year. The fog lifted about 1030 and the sun finnally started to warm our cold hands
the lake was flat and as beautiful as ever, fished until 1300 John is an excellant and pleasure to fish with.
It isn't often I get to fish with another guide on the same lake I really enjoyed it'

Report: Launched out of Orwood, weather was great, boat ran fine. Got to Disco-fished for 2hrs there. Water was pretty murky, 48 deg. 10" visibility. It was so weird, the weather was great, warmed to 51 deg. We thought the fish would come on , nada, not even a bite. We dropshotted disco, pulled plastics, and rattle traps. Headed towards Holland, and the same , hit some cuts, and near the Old/ River RR. Slough. Nothing, not even marking fish or bait. Talked to other boaters, and not a fish(not even a striper). Hmmm, can spring get here any faster. On the otherhand, everything is running great. I am happy.

Report: Fished for a few hours in the morning throwing small plastics and got nothing. I'll have to try the late afternoon / evening bite to see if it makes a difference. I concurr with Mike that it needs to be a little bit warmer and the lake looks prime for spring. Time to break out the float tube.
