Report: I was using a Texas Rigged 5" YUM Watermelon Seed Zellamander with no bead though and a Gamakatsu. First cast after switching to a Zellamander got the 5 pounder. I have never tried fishing for bass at night. It was really fun. Im going tomorrow night too. I dont know if the water was stained or not cause it was night but when i shined the lantern at the water it looked clear to me. I was fishing by the first picnic area after that narrow stretch of road where only one car can fit. It was a really shallow area. We were gonna night fish at calero but the ranger came and said that you cant night fish their and told us that we could night fish at coyote so we went their instead. If you have any other questions just ask me. Me and my friend fish anderson all the time in our float tubes.
      City: Morgan Hill

Tips: The Bass Fishing if you ask me is excellent at Coyote during the night.

Report: Hit Don Pedro for the 1st time on a 3-day houseboat trip w/ the wife. Had a great time. Managed at least a limit of keepers each day. Best was about 3.5. I had luck hitting shallow flats/backs of coves at sunrise and sunset. During the day, found most of my fish on main and 2ndary rocky points. Only got 1 hit on purple. They seemed to prefer greens and browns.
      City: Newark

Tips: Dropshotting 4" roboworms in natural colors.
Up to the bank early and late. About 10-20 feet out around the points during the day.

Report: Hey B Davis...... Try fishing the points in the narrows or any point outside Markley, I have been doing well on split shotin' 4in Aaron's Magic or any worm in brownish color. Or if you want to make a run to the main body try rippin' the flats on the east bank, north east of Big Island, look for the trees that are about 50 yards off the bank. Good luck.

Report: Went out @ 6:30am for a few hours before work. Threw an AC Plug, no takers, started throwing a Lucky Craft Sammy, 5th cast yielded a 9.9lb Hawg. Short cast and 3 twitches later the fight was on. Beautiful fish, full of eggs and ready to spawn. There is nothing better than a beast hitting topwater first thing in the morning. Took some pics and released her back to her domain. Caught four more fish and headed home at 9:30. Happy Easter to everybody and god bless!

Report: Thought it would be wide open but wasn't? Caught 3 bass right off the bat in the early morning on blades. Then like a light switch, it turned off. Saw a lot of WON Bass tourney guys running around and that told me they weren't really on a solid pattern either. Guess that is why I am not a pro.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Early wednesday morning i headed to clear lake for four day days of dawn til' dusk bassin. I was unpleasantly suprised that morning by 48 degree water at the mouth of rodman slough. I Originally thought that my temp gauge had gone haywire til' i stuck my paw in the water-brrrr!-it was cold. Jerkbaits did not produce but the flip bite started to come through when the sun hit the water. My partner and i were able to boat about a dozen gutter weisels before we headed down to the south end where the water, to my surprise, hovered around sixty. A few more keepers and it was time to hit the hay and get ready for thursday. With the water warmer on the south end we decided to start there first thing. It was a a free-4-all for the next 12 hours! I alone used up four packs of creature baits, three packs of senkos, and numerous other soft plastics. My boat was a virtual graveyard for worms by the end of the day. Lost count of the total #(probably around 75 at least) but weighed the five biggest for about 16lbs. Friday morning started differently, (probably because i lost sleep in anticipation of another day like thursday), it was slower most of the day but bites yeilded larger fish. I was able to catch two donkeys on a swimbait late in the morning weighing about 5.5 and 7.5. Also flipped 3 more around 4lbs at different times during the day. With a good day on friday I decided to fish Anglers Choice with my buddy Gary Churchill the following morning. We had a fun day but fell short of money by about a pound. The fish really seemed to come in to spawn and it took over thirty to win and 19.5 to check. We stopped at several places and saw many, many fish cruising and on beds. We were unable to get any of those huge fish that seemed to be suspended, (they were just trying to get a tan I guess). If we would have known that there would have been so many spawners we might have had a different gameplan, but I had an absolute blast and i can't wait to go back to clear lake where it's always high tide!(i usually fish the delta)
      City: fairfield

Tips: prespawn bass like the bulky plastics, fish them slow and early, switch to the beds or a swimbait in the afternoon for larger fish.

Report: I went night fishing from the shore from about 8:30pm to 10:30pm with my buddies. I caught two bass, one 5 pounder and a 10 pounder. Fishin a Texas Rigged YUM Zalamander. I thought it was a pretty good day of fishing for only fishing about 2 hours. We had about a few other hard bites but mist the fish.

Report: Fun day on the water with plenty of quantity but limited quality. Wife and I fished a local tournament. Went through about 25 fish to only have 12 pounds. Winners had a touch under 15 with a 4.8 kicker. Wind came up quite a bit in the afternoon but could not find a decent reaction bite. Most of the fish came on the dropshot, soft pressure bites or they just swam with it. 10-20 ft of water. Not sure where the better quality fish is hiding, they must be in a serious post-spawn recovery mode.

Tips: 6 inch roboworms...short dropshot leaders

      Water Temp: 65-70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: started before sun up in the trees. My bubby caught two small ones on a worm, I got one nice fish one a popper and another came clear out of the water for it, I lost it cause I pulled while the fish was still in the air, looked like a nice 3lb+ it was very disappointing. Caught one more nice fih in the trees on a crankbait he went a little over 3.5lbs. Went to the eastside of the lake and worked south, caught about 7-8 small fish and one 4.3lbs on worms. moved to the westside and caught one. Wind startd to blow and it was getting hot so we called it a day at about noon.
      City: Fresno

Tips: Tournament seemed to shut the fish down cause the day before we caught about 10 more fish and one 6lbs. hawg
A lot of big fish are jumping early in the morning, does anybody know why?
where can I find out how that tournament turned out?
