Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Hit the water at sunlight, irst boat there. Me and my partner started by the dam in 50 to 60 eet. No bites until about 9:00am, and then it was on, irst ish was about 2.5 pounds caught by my buddy in about 45 eet. The little ish hit like they were monsters, and the big ones were very hard to detect the bite. We caught ish all day some slow times but a great day on the water, was almost like spring warm and not much wind. We stayed in one general area all day ishing rockpiles as well as dropos. Talked to a couple dierent boats, and they said they were having a tough day. We inished about 3:30pm with 17 ish total. What a day in January, ish were all nice and at with the biggest at 3.2 and the average about 1.5, but we did have two ish that went 3 pounds and a ew that went a little over two pounds. We will probably be back here next week since hensley is a little tough right now, I went last week and only got one ish.
      City: coalinga

Tips: Fish are still pretty deep here about 40 to 50 eet being the best area to ind ish, dropshot worms and you should get them to bite, in a couple weeks we should see the bigger ish start to go a little shallow. So have un and enjoy the nice days to come.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the McCloud arm and caught 11 spots on Saturday. Big ish was 2.01 on the Berkely scales. The 4 other best ish were a 1.14, 1.13, 1.10, 1.08, and a 1.06. These were all very healthy ish. Smallest ish was just under a pound. I caught two ish on 3" hula grubs and then went to a 3/8oz brown jig with a 3" black pig. The bites on the jig & pig were very agressive. Key on the muddy points with patchy rocks. Ater you catch the one ish on that point, move on. Seemed like there was only one ish per point. All in all, a pretty good day. Enjoy your ishing!

      Water Temp: unknown

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: late aternoon, partly cloudy. Fishing the point on the south side between the swimming pool and Tule island hooked a 5# bass on a panther martin #4 holographic. It was quite a ride since I was targeting trout w/ ultra-light tackle. This is the third 3#+ bass I've caught on a trout spinner since Thanksgiving. It was on the retrieve and not the all. Also earlier that day I got a CARP in the small cove on the west side. I didn't even know there were carp in here. Should we be releasing Carp? I also noticed large schools o extremely small(1-1.5") shad swimming just under the surace. Perhaps the bucket mouths are relating to the miniature bait ish. It looks like we're going back to yellow alert, so perhaps they'll let uslauch again soon

Report: Fished sonoma rom sun up til noon only one small keeper. Wierd thing was i was at my little honey hole right as the sun broke the water and the bass went on a crazy top water buet. This time o year I had no top water in the boat but i threw out my blade and hooked up instantly and lost a ew others. With the water temp at 49 I've never seen a top water bite in eb. I thought maybe trout until i started hooking into them. I don't know you tell me. The visibility is unreal also, I think we are going to have a great spawn.

      Water Temp: 51-53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A half day guide trip today with father and son team Jeff Silva from San Ramon and his dad Pat Silva of Union City.To sum it up in one word it was Brutal. The mud is creeping in from the north and the lakes getting smaller. I couldn't find a consentration of fish. They did there part and put 8 in the boat with a only a couple of missed fish..I just couldn't find em on this day. The lake is coming up slowly and bait is 20-40. Jigs and 6" worms were getting bit in the am and things shut down after 10:30..
      City: San Jose

Tips: I wouldn't be afraid to throw cranks and blades right now. fishing will pick up with stable weather but thats not going to be for a while..It's still fishable at this point. On a good note the crappie bite is wide open on deep wood!!
