Report: Well got on the water today at about 4:30 today to do a little ishing just to get out and wear the dust o o the old rods. havnt been able to ish or about a week at spring rom the loat tube because o school. but anyways as i was walking down i looked at the mat rom the hill and saw that the water level had gone up a lot with the rain. then i realized that i hadnt come prepared. all i really planned to do was ish the mat and do some cranking, but i should have been ishing deep in the tules and skipping bushes and trees. so i got to the mat and on about my 10th cast had one suck it o and take it set the hook and missed. i kept going around the mat and when i made a ull rotation i had a nice one blow up on it and totally miss it, about 3 casts later he nailed it again, hole body coming out, but like the last hit, he didnt even touch it. it was a nice ish though based on its side, probably around 6-7 lbs. well ater leaving that ish i crossed to the north island and try the new weeds there with the rat and got jack. saw one swirl inront o a mat, not at my bait though. i tied on a buzzbait and ished the cut by the middle island, right at the mouth hooked into a really nice ish, this ish made a 10 t run sideways straight into the tules, i went in right ater it reaching about 2 eet down, but only to eel my buzzbait hooked into the tule. that ish had to be 8+ i have never had a ish pull like that. on the other side o the middle island had another nice ish ollow it out o a tree and swirl it, another good ish too. worked my way down the shore with the buzzbait and had only one more hit, but this one was a small ish and totally missed it. worked my way back in with the buzzbait without a hit. igures that the only day i dont bring a senko or other plastics i miss out on perect conditions or using them. i also tried cranking the deep weeds or a little bit with no success. heard a couple ish blow up deep in the tules, and i mean deep. will be out there again skippin the trees, and i inally ound a perect swimbait spot, about 5 or 6 boulders together in about 4 eet o water. hopeully there will be a hog there next time waiting or one o the last trout on spring lake to swim by on top.
      City: windsor

Tips: with the rain raising water levels ish deep in tules and shallow cover. oh yea and always bring a ollowup bait i your ishing a buzzbait.

Report: just had to go look, in at Jones Valley at 0600, one other guy ahead o me and NOBODY on the ramp and 2 let in the lot! They have gone home!!!! ran down the lower pit and dropshotted 3 small ish on a 4 inch MGM 127. Took o and cruised around a bit and saw only 1 jet ski and one ski boat, maybe hal a dozen houseboats all heading in. Water still very warm and the lake is 49.4 t down, Bailey Cove will be out beore the week is over. in at 63 degrees out at 1030 and 89 degrees, heading or another 100 degree plus day but the nights are cooling o nice.

Report: Had good top water bite Saturday and this morning. 3 5lb + on spooks and some 2-3 lbr's on blades and buzz baits. Had 2 - 5 lbers ighting over the same blade while one ish was already hooked...tried to take it out o the other ish's mouth..absolutely amazing aggression. Targeted high tide over the weed beds. Today outside weed line with a 200 series Lucky Crat in SHAD color did very nicely..Also nailed a nice striper...
      City: Stockton

Tips: Topwater still is active early...slow down or the good blow-ups....Clacker buzz baits seemed to work better than standard blade. Slow roll right in the thick stu...in between clumps..

My bro caught a 5.5 on a white buzzbait right in the middle o a big patch o matted weeds on the dam side o the lake. I changed to split shot 6 inch plastics in the late morning and started hooking up bigger ish in the 2 lb range.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Most o my ish were hooked using green pumpkin plastics on the outside edges o the weeds and at rocky points. Both worms and lizards were working. My brother was catching bigger ish, but not as many, using a white buzzbait right in the middle o the weed beds.

      Water Temp: 70's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took a guided trip yesterday with Mark Lassagne. Was looking or some help ishing the delta tides & conditions throughout. Fished mainly around the east side o Frank's Tract. We caught ish everywhere that we went, rom irst light up until about 1:30 or 2. Nice topwater bite early. That was a gas. Then blades and buzzers caught em along the rocks with current. Coaxed a couple in the boat on helix worms. Landed a ew on a white speed trap. Later had several double hook-ups while dropshotting around weed beds. Had some un throwing rogs, boated 1 or 2, and like every one else, we missed a couple o monsters in the pickle weeds. They're deinitely there. I'm inally getting that rog ishin igured out. Seemed like we caught a hundred ish, but was probably about 40. Biggest 5 went 20#...maybe a little less. Even caught a mammoth shad that was worthy o a couple o pics. Most un I've ever had on the delta. Thanks Mark...Great Job! We'll be doing this again, or sure.
      City: Tracy

Tips: I you want to ish the delta irst class with a guy that knows the terrain, then give Mark a call. He answered all my questions and oered tips & tricks on delta ishing that that are dierent rom lake ishing. He'll put you ON ish too, no doubt! GET THE NET!

      Water Temp: 79-83

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had a aternoon hal day trip and with the dropping water went to check out my all spots or some drop shot lessons..Once again to my surprise the ish were not deep. I was starting to get a little nervous about catching ish when I hit my third spot and the meter stayed void o ish..Made a cast op shallow a hung one in a tree.Ok, now I am seeing alot o bait suspending..Started looking or suspended bait and ound a huge school ten eet deep over 90..We stared to ish through the bait and it was on..The spots were in there as thick as I have ever seen here.We only caught three keepers ,but had over 40 ish..And about our bags o lost worms..We then hit some humps that I had ound in deep water this spring...They now were in the right zone and the largies were there..We ended up with solid limits and ish to 3 1/2 pounds...
      City: sonora

Tips: Lots o ish are suspended o bait in 18 to 25 eet. You have to keep at them and they will eed at some point..Still a typical summer pattern. But lots o un and action.

Report: Got on the water with the loat tube at about 12. Went straight to the lonely mat in the northern end and ater going halway around got my irst blow up, and it was a big one. That ish was there the last 2 days in the same spot hitting and totally missing what was thrown by her. Well i igured i try and see i she would hit again, 4 casts later i got her to suck it o the top and was able to put a hook in her and get her in. it was an 11.14 lb 27 by 19 inch bass, i only it was at it could have been a lot bigger, i posted the pic on the photo page. ater that got a 4 lber on the patch o mat that will always hold a ish, again this one hit and missed and then nailed it the next cast on the edge o the mat. not that much more action on the mats so moved up against the tules and had one boil on a senko, so i tossed the rat to the same spot and it just sucked it o the top and i hooked up and landed it, only about a 1.5 lber, something was going on with the ollowing hits today, lucky or me. Nothing more in the green slop so i moved down the lake ishing the western shore and caught one about a pound skipping a senko under trees on the middle island. headed back to the mat and right away had one nail it but broke it o when i set the hook. put on a new rat, and moved along the mat and had another nice blowup and set the hook hard but shortly ater got my rat back and had the hook buried into the plastic, i hate using the brand new ones, the plastic just is to thick. called it a day ater that and headed in, all in all a pretty good day.
      City: windsor

Tips: rat and rog bite is good, also i heard the deep scattered weeds were producing with spinnerbaits and rip baits.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went to Centimudi at 0515, air temp a cool 70, lake is down to 47t and releases have slowed, motored over near big backbone and got into the middle o a bunch o trout(do they count?) and caught 4 o them on a rip bait. changed to a popper and caught the irst small spot, and I mean small, the bait was larger, started throwing jigs to try to ind some size and got bit twice but no ish, kept at it or 2 + hours with no luck. Ran back out into the main lake area and cruised the bank and ound a scadzillion ish on my meter in 26t and suspended in the 14-18t depth. Got out the dropshot equipment and dropped down an MGM#127 sluggo and it got blasted by a 1.6 spot. Went back in with a #109C 4 inch curly tail tight on top o some bigger that average blips and got my best smallmouth o this year ater it charged around boring deep 4X, get it up and slide it into the net, a nice at dinner plate looking ish that went 3.26lbs on the culemrite, Got over that one and caught 11 more(5 small mouth) on the 109C curly tail. The skiers and jet skiers started up around 0900 so I went home

Report: I ve been going to eastman or a ew years. But I just started ishing it about 6 months ago. I usually stick to the markers o the bank and recently have had some sucess with pur/smoke and smoke colored grubs I also use;ZOOM 4" lizard and roboworms. My question is, is there much action in the trees back in the 5mph or by the dam. Any tips on what to use or hotspots would be much apprecated.
