Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: First o all, I wanted to give big thanks to the olks that responded to my last post and provided us with tips - you guys are great! On to the maiden voyage... I'm sure glad there was nobody on the water to see us make a ool o ourselves when we couldn't igure out how to trim the boat correctly. We eventually igured it out and headed to Sandmound Slough or some ishing. The water is still muddy, but ound a spot near the tullies that was about 5' deep with a light to medium current and very weedy. The weeds seemed to ilter out most o the crap in the water which made it a bit clearer. Tossed a watermellon w/blk lake senko (weightless) straight into the weeds, tik...tik...set the hook hard, he's on! 3lbs! Ater I let him go, I realized that he didn't give me a ight. Maybe the water is too cold(?).

Report: Whew! Nice day o ishin'! Once again, no loat tube today, just bankin' it. I ished rom 12-5. I started o with my c-rig like I was usin' beore and throwin' it out to deeper water. I must've ished that thing or about two hours beore I inally got ed up with ishin' that slow without a hit. I did notice though that it was nice and warm and sunny out today. So I thought...ya know, I wouldn't be surprised i these ish have moved up shallow on me today. So, I grabbed my spinnerbait rod went back into a cove that had been pretty exposed to the sunlight all day, and started pitchin' it around and in the tules. Fourth cast...SLAM! 4lber. I ended up catching 6 ish today, and every single one o 'em was in 2t o water or less. I caught 4 o them on a spinnerbait and the other two on a jig. Big ish today went 5lbs...that one ell victim to the jig. There was a trout isherman not to ar rom me when I caught it, and he said...hey, good ish, probably a good 4lber. I told him...naw, that's a 5lb ish there. So he pulled out his digital scale to see who was closer...sure enough, 5lbs exactly. Smallest ish today was a chunky 3.5lber. Must've had about darn near close to a 20lb limit today.
City: AntiochTips: When we get a ew days o consistent nice warm sun like this they'll move up shallow and eed real good. They were all gorging themselves on shad today. The lake is LOADED with shad right now. I saw hundreds o 'em today. Spinnerbait ish came o o a white 3/8oz spinnerbait w/ a 4" plum colored twintail grub trailer. Most o them were all actually right in the middle o the tules. I was just crashin' my spinnerbait right through 'em and slow-rollin' it back through. Jig ish came on a 1/8oz inesse blk/blu Bass Stalker Jig with a black and blu lk Claw Chunk Jr. trailer.

Report: Well a lot tougher bite than a week ago. With water temps dropping rom 58 to 52 degrees the bass seemed to back o the shallow lats and are ar less active. We caught about 8 ish, best 5 was 14.78 lbs in a T-Shoot. Lucky the rest o the ield only caught 4 ish a piece. We ound our ish on jig-n-pigs ish around brush and timber in 5 to 15 t o water. A ew came early on a Revenge White/Chartreuse spinnerbait. As soon as this cold weather leaves us and the water temps get back to near 60 this lake will bust wide open and be un to ish. Look or a good spinnerbait bite to turn on again. But or now just slow down and ish slow with jigs or Skeet's creature bait. Congrats to Verbouge or the big ish o 4.97 lbs. G-Manp.s. Eric, try to clean up your language on the orum please...thanks

Water Temp: don't remember
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Sorry or the late report. Fished 100% teams out o Markley. Partner and I hadn't ished the lake since June 1st 2002. Since 100% is a 7 ish limit we just hit points in the narrows. We tried reaction(rippin, blades, cranks) but didn't get touched. We caught around 15 keepers(all less than 2lbs) dropshotting and shaking(glass & brass) worms. Most o the ish were 15t but did catch some as deep as 50t. We weighed in just under 12lbs or 7 ish which was good enough or 10th out o 45 boats. Felt pretty good since we didn't preish. I'll take the points. Most o the ish were spots with about 1/3 being smallies. We only caught 1 largemouth on a jig. It was less than 1lb.
City: PetalumaTips: Most o the ish were on points in 15-30t. Clay banks were better than rock. Can't beat witches "T" or baby bass robo worms or colors.

Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished in turkey shoot this weekend put on by Todd rom Anglers World. Launched out o Pleasure Cove at about 7am. Fog was a little thick so my partner Chuck Dyer and I decided to start ishing in the narrows. We put 2 in the boat right away on a lucky crat deep diving crank bait in the irst 20 min. Then the og looked to clear up some so we decided to head up to Putah Creek to see the conditions o the water and maybe catch a good ish. We ished a couple o spots that we normaly ish but had no success. Went to another spot where the water was a little clearer and on the irst two casts my partner got bit both times, however he was unable to hook up. Then on the third cast he gets bit again and the ight was on. When he got it to the boat and I netted it we were both saying that we ound the spot. The ish weighed in just under 5lbs.The ish came on a brown jig in about 15 to 20 t. We continued to ish the area or about 5 more hours with only one more ish. The wind picked up pretty bad and it was very diicult to eel your bait. We moved to some other spots back on the main lake with no success. At about 1:15 we decided to go back to the narrows to inish out our limit. The wind was ripping across the lake at 25-35 mph with 3-4 oot rollers. I speared a wave about 1/4 mile rom big island. So we changed dirrection and went through the long 5 around big island, boy what a ride. When we got back in the narrows we quickly illed our limit lost a couple more culled out a ish and started to dy out. We weighed in 10.02 or 5 and 2nd place. First place was 10.10 or 5. Thanks to Todd or the touney and the big ish option. Look orward to the next one.
City: ConcordTips: I you are looking or numbers and a lot o culling 1/4oz ish go to the narrows. I you need a kicker head to Putah Creek. You may not get bit much but it could be a good one.
