Amador Lake
-
Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Rick Teitz and I went to Amador last night looking or the big bite! We started ater dark and while the ishing was pretty good, we only got one sort-o-big bite, and as he oten does, Rick got it! He caught it on a Dead Ringer worm in Jackson Creek at midnight and it went 6 lbs 13 oz! He said he had to catch that one to keep up with me and I did have the hot stick early on. In addition to several quality keeper bass, I did land a 3 and a 3-9 bass on a black/chartreuse Weapon jig with a 6 inch #135 Yamamoto grub - my avorite color during the ull moon. We wound up with 14 bass (and one trout on a crankbait) with a ive ish limit at 17 1/4 lbs. There are big ish showing on the meter all over Amador, but do not seem to be active at night. Most o the ish we caught were in the top 15 eet - some on the bank even in the bright moon. In the winter there arn't many shadows because the moon is straight overhead. It really was a beautiul night - cold - but bearable.
City: Yuba CityTips: We ished points and walls - all over the lake. We looked or shoreline areas that had the steepest dropos. That seemed to be the key to inding quality ish. The water is still pretty warm or this late in November. In addition to worms and jigs, we did get a ish on a spinnerbait and one on a rattletrap, plus the trout on a crankbait.

Calero Reservoir

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I tubed Calero today rom 12:30-4:45. The irst two hours were slow or me, but I didmanage a 3.2 on gold blades o a rocky point in about 8 eet o water. Kinda interesting as unlike most ish out o Calero, this ish did'nt have any marks in it's mouth rom being caught beore. Eventually I ended up at the submerged islandand ound ish on the south side in about 10-14 eet and took 6 o them between 2-3 lbs ona green pumpkin Brushhog. I talked to a guy in a Pro-Crat, he said he had been out allmorning without any action, then he headed to the shallows in the aternoon a naileda decent 4.4 on blades. It looks like thebite is starting to pick up a bit, but most action seems to be in the aternoon.
City: San JoseTips: Not too many suspended ish, most ish I marked were hunkered down on the bottomand near structure. Get o the lake on time,or prepare or a lecture....killin me

I could not ind a ish less than 30t deep. Got some nice ones in the narrows and swallow bay. Report: Beautiul morning this am, in at Packers at 645 am. lake at 90.1 t down, air temp 49, went up into the lower McCloud to look or some ish or a club tournamet on Sunday, didn't throw much but when I did it was dinks. used a jig or most and could not ind any rip bite. The ramp at packers is down to 2 lanes and the one nearest the bank is ull o mud, as is centimudi which is really loaded up, sugarloa is good, antlers is out o the water as is bailey cove, hirz bay has two lanes but very muddy, when you go to get your boat out ride the brake a bit or risk coating your boat with a lot o red mud at Hirz Bay, Jones Valley is now on the secondary ramp with the loat in place and a dusty drive in and out i the ground isn't wet and muddy i it is. Did not see any surace action this am and ound the bait to be in mid-channel and deep. looks like the winter pattern is here, the temp warmed up quickly in the 79 degrees air temp at 1pm when I got out.
