    Water Temp: 68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: toss spinner, swim bait 4/6/8", jig,n wake bait but no taker. I did wat Matt S did n got bite. Just read Matt's report n notice my bite was the same but with different worm. Tried Aaron magic n a few other worm but no bite. Til I change to the right one n bite was on. Got there a little late n met up with a lot of boat traffic . That made the bite a little tough but once traffic dies down it was on.I had other boat cut infront of my path b4 but today i had a guy on the bank walk in front of my path n toss his lure in front of me. I guess he didn't see my 8 inches swim bait..haha
    City: elk grove

Tips: spot that had a lot of moss didn't produce for me. Weeds was the key n points that had kind of a slow tapper(fish was sitting on the drop off). fish was in 5-10 ft of water. Try different worm til u get one. Bite is much noticeable. I had a few fish tick tick me twice n three times cuz i wasn't sure it was a fish or sinker dragging again the rock or snagging on weeds

    Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: launched at sunrise and while we were getting in the boat i saw a kid catch a 2lb crappie on the dock. healthy fish! went to the other side of the lake and worked the points with no takers! then i found a cove with a little waterfall and 2 casts later i caught a 3pounder! a couple more casts and lost one at the boat, spit the worm right at me. had a couple more bites but no fish. went around the corner and same pattern in the cove with a waterfall flowing into the lake the bass seem to be in 5 to 10 ft of water where ever there is running water. my buddy caught 1 nice 2pounder on the way back in we went to the first cove we stopped at and i picked up 1 more and we lost 3 more fish. the bass arnt eating the plastic 6inch worms , it seems like they are picking it up but not inhaling it.overall my first trip ever to amador and i will be back to find a 10 pounder. we caught 5 and lost 4 all on robo worms in sxe shad and purple and brown t-riged in no deeper than 15 ft.

Tips: fish slow and make sure to set the hook, light bite

    Water Temp: 59-62

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I checked out the lakee today for about 3 hrs in the afternoon and then my bud Rick Tietz joined me at 6 pm for a few hours of night fishing. The story is: water is still pretty cool and bass as still kinda deep - mostly. I started with a 2 1/2 pounder on a jig (about 20 feet deep) and then threw a D&M Piranha swim jig on an 8 foot deep flat - made a few twitches - and got slammed. The 5 lb 2 oz bass jumped at least a foot but I still got her in the boat - cool! The funny thing was I thought I had a rainbow trout 6" Basstrix trailer on the rainbow colored swim jig, but I had the perch color Basstrix instead. The bass thought I was stupid but didn't seem to care!! The next hour or so I missed 4 fish - weird. After Rick got there we had a pretty good pre-dark bite in Mountain Spring but he only landed one. After dark - very slow. Rick did manage a near 3 pounder and then set on a beauty, about 11 pm in Jackson Creek. She went 6 lbs even and hit a Blade Runner jig. I caught 2 more - one on the bank and one over 20 feet. How's that for a pattern?! Our best 5 about 18 1/4 lbs - not too bad.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: It is hard to give tips when every bite is so different. As I mentioned, bass were from 3 to 30 feet. Didn't see any shallow bass. I did crank a little - no takers. Still lots of pressure bites except from the big ones. Jigs seem to be the overall best bait which is normal for this time of year. Lake has come up fast the last 2 weeks and that might contribute to the slow bite.

Report: Went out Sunday with my good buddy Ronnie and had an awsome day!!! It started off kinda slow in the morning no fish the first 3 hours but then we figured them out. Drop shot in 10 to 20 feet of water worked best for us. Also a few on rip baits, overall it was a good day caught about 18 fish with best 5 going 15 pounds not bad considerig everyone is saying its a tough bite...

    Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: water is still muddy, fish seems to be in 15-20ft. Fishing is slow, caught 2 bass, another boat caught 2 also. Boat launching is easy. Trout fishermen complain about catching 1 or none at all. Not worth they money to fish here yet. Maybe when water warm up n much clearer

    Tips: drop shot, spinnerbait, worms

Report: i happen to see the last too posts about smallies and spots. About 7 or 8 years ago while night fishing - I DID catch a 14 inch spotted bass in Amador. There was no doubt - looked like a clone from Oroville. It was soon in the garbage can. Some say there are spots in Pardee - that is where this one probably came from.

    Water Temp: cold

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Alright is about time someone besides Larry Hemphill make a report on this lake. The weather was cold this morning when we went out. Wind was blowing constantly 10-20 miles per with gust up to 30-35 miles. We try suspended jerk, football jig, rattle trap, drop shot and shakey head. At the end of the day end up with 2 dinks. Nothing to show for not even worth a picture.
    City: sacramento

    Tips: Dress warm...
Some kid was on the bank ask me if I caught any. I told him just 2 dinks. Then he proceeded to ash me if it was a largemouth or a smallmouth. I told him it was a largemouth. I said to him there is no smallmouth in this lake. He told me he caught one back in one of the creek before. Has anyone heard of any such thing before? Because I fished here for about 8 years and never caught a smallie.

    Water Temp: 80-82

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I have night fished Amador hundreds of times in the last 30 years and have seen all kinds of weather, but last night was different. I think the bass knew it too. Full moon night - for awhile. Soon the moon was dimmed by off and on clouds and later it became quite dark by thick clouds and the incoming cold front. Stiff breeze from the west lasted into the a.m. - very rare in the summer. There were lots of boats of course, but don't know if there was a lot of catchin'! We had a slow night - my client lost 2 and I lost 2 or 3 but landed 2 in the 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 lb range. Don't feel too bad for him - he has previously landed bass to 12 lbs at Amador! I did talk to some nice fellas before leaving and they did catch 2 small bass - and another "nice" bass - a 10 pounder!! That was a good 3 fish limit!!!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: Try again in September?! I think the weather slowed the bite for sure. My client was self-contained, bring several rods all rigged with good stuff. He got his hits on a Senko and a jig. I couldn't get bit on plastic worms and othe baits. All my bites were on the D&M Piranha swim jig, black/blue, with a Yamamoto grub trailer. Those bites were about 20 feet deep and before midnight. I lost the first 2 because I forgot the hook on the first swim jig was dull. My error! Those "chatter" type baits require a sharp hook.

Report: Hey kevo fishing at nite tips are almost the same tip u have giving me. Any plastic with paddle tail plus 1/2 or 3/4 ounce weight but plastic have to be dark in color(that u know already) n cast into or infront of weed bed. Let if fall n slow roll it n some will hit on slow roll. Other will hit n miss, if that happen just pause for a second or 2 then slow roll it again. My fishing partner got a hit on slow roll n i got one on a pause after it had miss me. Add Scent would be great. Oh don't waste your time on cloves, just hit points n u should find them.
    City: elk grove

Tips: I hope this will return a favor from your last tips to me...thnks ..Fish on !!! Man i hope Rico don't read this report n start hating..haha

    Water Temp: 85+

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Thanks for all the tips, but what we really needed was some dynamite and morphine. We fished from 9-2 am with 3 bites one fish. Everything black from topwater to jigs. Got back to camp, slept til 8 am, and was back on the water. We are on float tubes so we're not able to cover as much water as needed. We kicked well over 2 miles with 3 more fish. The one that I caught went close to 4 lbs and must of felt sorry for me, cause when I went to lip it, it decided to spit the hook and jump into my lap. We stared at each other for close to a minute, I weighed him with my boga, then set him free. I have twin babies on the way and might have 1 or 2 trips left before they are born, Amamdor will not be my final destinations.
    City: Galt

Tips: The one that I caught was on a texas rigged 4.5" green pumpkin tube. It was in about 20' of water,on the down wind side of a rocky point. I really didn't want to write this report but I did it for the guys who were kind enough to offer thier advice. Thanks again.

Report: 15 or 16 boats folsom bass club. 14 lbs won. Big fish went 4+ lbs. We had only limit over 10 lbs.
Ryan the ringer Stoddard and I had 14+ limit. Fished with lunker Larry tues nite and he turned me on to brush hogs. I was the last boat out so all the spots larry showed me were taken. I went up the river and fished a point with wind blowing on it all nite. We had 9 keepers. Fish were very deep coming up to eat. I had to pop every one. They bit in 10 to 15 feet off grass line.

Tips: Turn your radio on to some good old country music and fish. It keeps the other die hards away and is very relaxing.

    Water Temp: 78-82

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a very nice 6 hr guide trip last night - 7pm to 1 am. Evening bite was only fair but got better as the night set in. Bass were not hitting hard but did seem to be feeding some. I showe them plenty of good structure and hopefully they will do well in an upcoming tournament. They fished very well - getting most of the bites! We had over 20 hookups, landing 13 up to 7lbs 2 oz. Good limit a little over 19 lbs. Wish I could say more, but "zipped lip" is my policy when helping folks pre-fish. We did fish most of the lake.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: It is no secret that there are plenty of weeds, so plan for that. Because it was a cooler evening, the normal east breeze didn't blow much - gorgeous night!!!

    Water Temp: 75+

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: On the water about 7:00 am. Started throwing a 5" white money minnow, weedless and missed 3 fish to 4 lbs. I finally got one that went about 3 lbs. I was burning it over the top of weeds and stopping it when it got to a hole. I took 3 more on a 1/4 oz brown jig with a Denny Brauer trailer. Those fish were in the 2lb class. I think Ill try some night fishing next time.
    City: Galt

Tips: Try weedless swimbaits, over weeds. Keep the bait about an inch under, then let it drop a couple of feet, then repeat. Hold on tight and set the hook hard. These fish love to jump and will throw your hook. ALWAYS CATCH AND RELEASE

Report: on the water about 5pm, plan was to fish all night, after about 11pm and fighting the wind, called it a night, few that were caught were caught on a roboworm dart head, and one after dark on a black jig
    City: diamond springs

Tips: if your the only boat on the water fighting the wind.... go home, there is a reason your the only one

Report: Fished Sunday morning from 6 AM until 11:30. Picked up a few nice fish on topwater first thing in the morning, including a 2.5 on a popper and a 5 on a frog, then the top-water bite shut off. Got a few more keepers on the drop shot after that and called it a day. Best five was around 14 lbs.
