City: Foster CityTips: Try reaction baits first. Switch to plastics up shallow were there are weeds in the water.

Water Temp: getting warmer
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Been itching to go with the warm weather. But then I forgot with all the rain that it would be muddy. It's super muddy and lake level has risen. I have never done well there when the water is like chocolate. Tossed big bulky baits for zip. visibility is 0-6".
City: san joseTips: Check webcam for water conditions before you go out.

Water Temp: 50 - 54
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Took my son Ricky & nephew Jimmy fishing, a very windy day. Got there late, about 12:30 went north and I got one on a drop shot (Witches Tea 25') motored into the second arm and caught one on a Chrt/wht spinner bait. Then moved to a main lake rock point and Jimmy picked up his first fish of the day on Drop Shot (Baby Bass 15') picked up two more (Drop Shot). Ricky steals my rod and picks one up on a Baby Bass Drop Shot. Finished the day with 11 fish, not bad for a windy short day.
City: PacificaTips: Fish main points with drop offs

Water Temp: 50 ish
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out with Tiger to try and land my first 2011 BASS. The problem was the boat didn't cooperate. technical problems limited us to the minnkota for the first couple hours but Tiger did land a couple spots. Then the big motor cooperated and we headed north. Fished points like everyone else ad managed to pick off a fish here and there. Later in teh day the water warmed up and the fish seemed to school. When we found one there were more close by. Most fish came with boat in 25-30 and casting towards the shore. about 20 fish in total no size at all. range <1 to 1.5 lbs. Tiger got about a dozen or so and I got 6 or so. We also had many that didn't hook up. One fish on a t-rig bhog and rest on the old drop shot which we fished the most after they showed they wanted it that way. Pretty fun but never found the big girls, they are probably still working their way out of the seeper water. The storm will likely revert the fish that had started to come up with the recent warming we had....
City: PacificaTips: Slow presentation. Many of the fish didn't give the traditional tap just were on when you moved the bait. As the water warmed they did get more aggressive.

Report: I'm a total amateur, I caught 2 fish on the boat, 25 ft deep, mostly north end, drop shotting with a purple robo worm. Pretty windy out there at times which made it tough. Didn't fish much by the dam. Falling barometer. Talked to some other boats that got 10+.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished under rainy skies and no one on the lake. Caught 10 large mouth all on shallow running crank bait along weed lines. Tried top water, drop shot and worm but not a bite. The weather was perfect for shallow reaction baits.
City: Foster CityTips: This time of year start with reaction baits and locate fish. Cover a lot of water and fish shallow.

Water Temp: 70-ish
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Shore fished near the damn. Arrived around 5pm and fished till 7pm. Only a few boats out but there wakes still made for murky visibility. Started out with black/red and white/red spinner baits and a shad minnow rap. No interest. Finished off with wack worm drop shot and t-rig worm with also no interest. One of those days....
City: San JoseTips: Shore fishing has been pretty rough these past couple of weeks. Need a boat for Anderson unless going for cats near E. Dunne bridge.

Report: My sons and I found a good pattern. We worked shad robo worms around weeds and came up with 25 fish. Mostly around 1#, but a few in the 2# range. The water was really clear in the morning, but mud lines developed around noon with the wake board boats buzzing us.

Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: fished from 10am-3pm, caught 25, 3/4-2 lbs. *-15 ft. All but 1 on c-rigged watermelon baby brush hogs. One on a shad colored dropshot in 30ft of water. All @ north end of lake. Flats with deep water nearby. A little warmer and could bust open. Still no reaction bite, but shouldn't be long away.
City: morgan hillTips: Keep presentation slow, fish will commit, but not ready to pounce yet. Maybe ready for spinnerbaits or rip baits soon.

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished for 3 hrs 1:30-4:30. I had the same luck as PapaJohn's report - nada, nothing, not a bite. In 53deg water I only fished 2 lures - football head hula grub jig and drop shot. I targeted points ans steep drops, all the normal places fish would be for these conditons. I found nothing up shallow even with the rising water. As I moved out to 38-40ft of water the sonar came alive with fish. I dropped right on their heads and drug my baits though them and nothing.
City: Foster CityTips: I have fished this lake in the winter months and had very little luck. Wait until the water temp starts to warm and then get on it. If you want good winter fishing try Comanche.
