Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Another tough day with the very beautiul, but bluebird conditions. Worked hard, and threw everything at them at all depths. My back seater landed two, each just under two pounds, on plastics. ished the narows and points and steep walls. All bites and ish came in 10 to 20 eet, but metered ish 25 to 35 but could not coax a strike. It should really turn on soon! BASNFAN

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Today was beautiul, looked like spring already. Wish I could say the same or the ishing, har! We worked real hard to put a limit in the boat, or about 7lbs.; 1 dink and a trout (caught on a at ree shad in 8t.) rounded out the day. We moved several times, each time getting a bite or two at each location. Had to be real slow, barely eel the bite, i at all. I was impressed with how much clearer the water looked today, way better than yesterday. Lake is ull, at top o glory hole!!
City: VacavilleTips: Points with platiics, and ish slow. Can't wait or warm days ahead!!!!

Water Temp: 53-55
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: In water at 10. Went back to main body, ished same areas as last week, (sorry about the wrong date on last report). Fish were a little deeper this week, mainly around 20t. Not nearly as many bites either, boated 5 or maybe 6lbs. The storms seems to have them scattered about more, although points still seemed to do the trick. Water in main and south arms didn't get muddied up too bad, water temps seemed about the same too. Going back tommorrow, no work, yahooooo!
City: VacavilleTips: Had to ish alot slower this week to get bit, dropshot and splitshot did work i you kept it in their ace long enough.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Bass Busters o Santa Clara County had there February tounament out o Capel cove, Lake Berryessa.Today would start o ice cold with temperatures around 25 degrees. We had 9 boats, 18 anglers ready to go pound some spots, smallmouth, and largemouth. Well with the cold ront, clear skies above the ishing would turn out to be tough. The winning weight was around 8.5 lbs. caught by Ed Hawkins, all smallmouth. Second place went to Joe Haylin (sorry Joe I know I spelled it wrong). Third place went to Henry Silva. There were only 4 or 5 limits caught saturday. Most ish were caught on Dropshot or Splitshot rig. A ew ish were caught on Crankbaits and jigs, including big ish on the Jig.It seams like most o the ish preerred the bait not moving at all, no shaking, no dragging, just still. The day was beautiul as it warmed up to a nice 60+ degrees with no wind. As the storm ront pull in on tuesday expect the bite to pick up with it. The day or us was beautiul but Slooowwwww.

Water Temp: don't remember
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Sorry or the late report. Fished 100% teams out o Markley. Partner and I hadn't ished the lake since June 1st 2002. Since 100% is a 7 ish limit we just hit points in the narrows. We tried reaction(rippin, blades, cranks) but didn't get touched. We caught around 15 keepers(all less than 2lbs) dropshotting and shaking(glass & brass) worms. Most o the ish were 15t but did catch some as deep as 50t. We weighed in just under 12lbs or 7 ish which was good enough or 10th out o 45 boats. Felt pretty good since we didn't preish. I'll take the points. Most o the ish were spots with about 1/3 being smallies. We only caught 1 largemouth on a jig. It was less than 1lb.
City: PetalumaTips: Most o the ish were on points in 15-30t. Clay banks were better than rock. Can't beat witches "T" or baby bass robo worms or colors.

Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished in turkey shoot this weekend put on by Todd rom Anglers World. Launched out o Pleasure Cove at about 7am. Fog was a little thick so my partner Chuck Dyer and I decided to start ishing in the narrows. We put 2 in the boat right away on a lucky crat deep diving crank bait in the irst 20 min. Then the og looked to clear up some so we decided to head up to Putah Creek to see the conditions o the water and maybe catch a good ish. We ished a couple o spots that we normaly ish but had no success. Went to another spot where the water was a little clearer and on the irst two casts my partner got bit both times, however he was unable to hook up. Then on the third cast he gets bit again and the ight was on. When he got it to the boat and I netted it we were both saying that we ound the spot. The ish weighed in just under 5lbs.The ish came on a brown jig in about 15 to 20 t. We continued to ish the area or about 5 more hours with only one more ish. The wind picked up pretty bad and it was very diicult to eel your bait. We moved to some other spots back on the main lake with no success. At about 1:15 we decided to go back to the narrows to inish out our limit. The wind was ripping across the lake at 25-35 mph with 3-4 oot rollers. I speared a wave about 1/4 mile rom big island. So we changed dirrection and went through the long 5 around big island, boy what a ride. When we got back in the narrows we quickly illed our limit lost a couple more culled out a ish and started to dy out. We weighed in 10.02 or 5 and 2nd place. First place was 10.10 or 5. Thanks to Todd or the touney and the big ish option. Look orward to the next one.
City: ConcordTips: I you are looking or numbers and a lot o culling 1/4oz ish go to the narrows. I you need a kicker head to Putah Creek. You may not get bit much but it could be a good one.

Water Temp: 52 degrees
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Hit the water or the irst time this year - trying to work out the kinks. Launched out o Capell Cover at irst light. The wind was dead, the lake was lat and the skies were overcast. The water was up too. Headed or my avorite spots in skier's cove. First thing threw a ghost minnor ripbait and quickly put 3 keepers in the boat. All were smallmouth and under 2 lbs. Caught 2 other small ones. Switched to drop shot, ater trying jigs and spinnerbait, and caught my next 2; again under 2 lbs. Caught a couple more with the same weight. Most any color was working, but the best was green weenie and a'arons magic worms. All the ish were in 15 eet o water. Had my limit rom 1 area beore 9am. not too bad. I tried back in the backs o the coves with my jig and spineerbait, missed one, otherwise but no takers. Love my new rods though, gonna make ishing these baits much nicer this year. Thanks John or a great deal!!Headed out to the narrows or a ew more spots o o the typical points. Caught 2 more on drop shot beore deciding to go looking or something with size. As the clouds busted up by lunchtime, Iheaded out to the big island to ish some humps that are now ully submerged. Nothing. As I was heading back to the ramp, I decided to scout the west shoreline since I really knew little about it. Spotted a great point with a lot or rocks and a water pump. Decided to give it one last try. 3rd cast with my Br/Purple Rodstrainer jig with purple grub grailer, a nice 3 lb, smally hooks up and I am happy.I headed to the ramp to visit with a ew missed riends and a share in a great day on the lake. (nice seeing you again Terry). All in all 10 ish, one going 3 lbs, with lots o wate let un-tried.
City: Redwood CityTips: With the water rising, there is a lot o debris in the water. Most o it was small, but there was some hull busting big pieces out there; just under the water. Be careul!!
