Report: Found fish to be pretty active even though the cold front was coming through. The wind and rain kept us off the main lake so we fished the coves inside Spanish Flats and Steel Park. Most fish we caught came on reaction baits...biggest 3lb large mouth. Some came on pruple weenies in 5-10ft. We fished from 3pm to 6:30, caught two limits in that time. Could not see if any bed fish were around. Did see some areas with schools of fry indicating post spawn areas.
    City: Suisun

Tips: search with a reaction bait and then slow down once you located some fish.

Lots of small fish, mixture of Spots and Smalies. had 4 or 5 that might have hit the 2 Lb mark. Fun Day Tight Lines Jeff

Report: My buddy and I are very much on amateur side, but managed to do OK on SAT in crazy and cold conditions. started off with two smallies and a small spot just after launch in Capell cove on Rapala countdown. headed across lake to Farmhouse, and he hit a smallmouth on every point with the same rapala while I shook up some some 1.5-2lb spots on variety of plastics, I picked up one 3.5lb largemouth on green weenie, but most fish came on yamamoto spider grub. Despite MARBLE size hailstorm that lasted 45 min in afternoon that must have dumped the water temp, we totalled about 18 fish even mix of smallies, spots, and largemouth

Tips: Who knows, I'm just a simple caveman, these coldfronts confuse me?

Report: I've certainly noticed the same thing about the Yamamoto baits. Though they're soft and tantilizing and the fish love 'em, I can't help but think it's part of Yamamoto's grand plan to make them fragile. At about 60 cents a pop, it adds up fast if you're using them all day---which I'll probably be doing, along with a lot of other guys this spring. The quality fish make it worth it, I guess. If someone came up with a kevlar senko and charged $5 a pop for it, we'd still save money. Or something made out of used tires....

Report: Fished Sat./Sun. in the narrows. Sat. got on the water at 11 am and caught about 6 fish to 1 1/2 lbs. on 4" Witches T majic worms (splitshotting) by 12:30 (just taking a relative non-fishing out for a spin in the new boat and trying out ultra-light tackle w/6 lb. test). Sun. out at 7:30 am, my son and I caught 15+ to 3 1lbs. mostly same tactics, same areas. Found a sandy cove with a tree in it and caught 5 in five casts (including 3+ lb. smallmouth, 2lb smallie and 3 spots all clone 1 1/2s). That was fun. The water was very cloudy in that cove from all the boat activity so that Witches T was just the ticket. This ultra light gear/line makes every fish a challenge.

Tips: Split shot small worms with as light a line as possible. Fish are really turning on as the water warms!

Report: Launched out of Capell Cove at about 7:45. Quite a few boats in the parking lot already. Went all the way up to the north end of the lake by Putah Creek. Water was looking to be clear until we got there. Lots of fish on the points out in about 15-20 feet of water. Started throwing Spinnerbaits and Crankbaits and nothing. Then we found a big school of fish stacked on a point and had a couple of hit carolina rigging plastics. Had two of them up to the boat and then they popped off. Went down in front of our cabin at berryessa Pines and landed a nice two pounder on a carolina rigged plastic. A pretty slow day, only about 4 fish. Tight Lines!!!!!!!!!!!
