    Water Temp: 73-74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took out 3 buddies from work on friday late afternoon, launched out of Markley cove. We headed for Capel cove, I told one guy to use a 7'' powerworm in pumpkinseed and the other guy to use a 1/4 oz Duh jig spring moss the new color and I myself would use the 1/4oz duh jig in the old spring moss color. Well I made the first hook up with a 1.5 largie and made the second hookup with a 2.8 channel cat, my buddy in the back hooked up with a nice 2.0 largie but it seemed to be no good for my other friend who was using the new color duh spring moss so he switched to the powerworm but had no success with that either. I could tell he wasn't to happy with himself so I watch the way he was jigging the worm and the duh jig and had him change his style of fishing, I told him to jig 2 or 3 times then drag it slow then pause as he was doing that he then started to hookup with fish. Well we all fished until 5:00 the next morning and ended up with a whole lot of lost fish but caught 65 bass and 3 catfish on jigs and worms.

    Water Temp: 70+

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the last qualifing tournament for WON BASS vineyard circuit today. We ended up with 9.93lbs(5 fish). It was good enough for 9th place and a trip to the tri-state in October. We started out throwing topwater(spook & rico). Had a limit by 7am with one 2.75lb smallmouth and another big fish lost on the spook. Switch to senko and culled two fish. Fished all north end. All the fish were post spawn and skinny. Caught 30+ keepers(12"+) but all but five were under 1.5lbs.
    City: Petaluma

Tips: Morning topwater is excellent right now. Throw spook for bigger but fewer fish or rico/popper for smaller but more fish. After the topwater bite, worm or throw a senko. Fish mudlines in the afternoon with blades/crankbaits. Most fish are post spawn and moving/moved to summer areas.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished tuesday (overcast and windy), wed and thurs (clear and calm) ) with my 2 kids (9 & 11). Tues and Wed were killer days, with over 30 fish between the 3 of us. Mostly spots up to 3 lbs, and several large and smallies, up to 2 1/2 lbs. Lost a 4-5 lb smallie at the net,on a pop-r. Caught all the fish in the narrows and Wraggs, from 3-20 ft of water. Caught most of the fish on 5" senkos and drop shotting 4" brown worms with flourescent tails. Fish were spitting up crawdads and 3" power craws worked well, carolina rigged. Decent topwater bite in last 1/2 hr of daylight. Thanks to Rich Thiel for the tip! Topwater was in back of coves. For some reason Thursday was the toughest day, with the overcast and clear skies following day the best. Couldn't believe how many rude water skiers present during midweek, esp in late pm. I think I'll stick to fishing Berryesa during March/April when there are fewer water skiers.

Report: Launched out of Capell Cove at 6. Fished mostly eastern bank sounth of the start of the narrows. Caught almost all fish sight fishing. Couldn't get them to take anything consitantly but a crappie jig, and that made the day a whole lot more fun. Nothing real big, most bigger fish have moved off the beds. Saw a couple of bruiser cruisers, but that's normal. Caught 25-30 fish all day, but lots of small ones. Went back into Capel Cove around 6, and started throwing topwater in the back coves. Had about 8 hits on it throughout the day, but nothing would take it. The only thing I caught on topwater was a squaw fish. I just don't think the bite is quite here. Caught 3 crappie right at dark for a nice dinner. Main lake banks are still muddied up from weekend skiers, and even on thursday did I have skiing all around me making it hard to fish.

Report: Sat on this lake for the weekend. Won a club tourney with 11.4lbs for five. 63 degrees in Putah, 60 in Pope creek and 58 on the main lake. Partner was sic with a blade on the bank. Sunday fish pulled off a little with the front that passed Saturday night. Stuck several shakin a zipper worm around wood. All largemouth and smallmouth in Putah, spots in Pope and on main lake with grubs & worms. The zipper worm may have saved me from rotator cuff surgery- reaction bite torrid.

Tips: Changing by the hour- fish on beds one day, pulled off with subtle weather changes the next. Keeper males readily available on the bank- hens are staging.

Report: Fished with my wife both Sat and Sun and we had a ball, Wiches Tea and Orginal Green Weeney split shotting was the ticket. We fished the big cove directly across from Spanish Flat resort and caught a misture of smallies and spots to 2.5 lbs. Moved to the coves north of the big farm house and using the same tactic caught some more of the same. For me you had to find warmed water and a rocy bank. We found 53 degree water on the north end and caught nothing. When we found 58 degree water we starting to catch fish. We could not pull a fish out of the dirty water everyone else was fishing. Had a great 20+ fish week end.

Report: went and fished there last saturday with friends. trout are active on top and can be gotten with minnows, small kastmasters and/or tiny rattletraps...some of us caught bass in 30 to 50 ft of water, while one boat caught them in 10 to 20ft. downshotting worked on the deeper fish, but be prepared to fizz them or eat'em cuz they bloat up. the shallow fish were caught on grubs and split shottin....didn't find out what color the worms were..some great fall weather...nothing large, but the action can be had, you just have to find them.,...good fishing!

Tips: fishing your favorite fall baits while using electronics and your eyes to find bait...if you can't find any---move on.

Report: Spent one mornin and two nights on Berryessa doing instructional structure fishing, Dropshot'in and Jig fishin under a full moon. The bite was limited to the main lake with depth access to deep water. The Smallmouth were "HOT" on this bite up to 2 1/2lbs. Very few spots where caught and very few fish were above 15ft.
    City: Castro Valley

Tips: Right know I would Highly recommend jigs either in 1/4oz or 3/8oz in Brown/Black, Trailer you will have to experiment with until you find the right color. fish slow and shake alot if you can't get bite in the first 5 minutes move to another location. one of the keys was to located the shade in the area "IF ANY". Another key to wether the bite was going to happen was the wind or breeze in some situation.. Good luck and screamin Reels "Hookpoint"
