    Water Temp: 52-53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished about 5 hours and had 3 fish to show for it. All on Jigs. The fish had moved off their positions of the last few weeks due to a cold front (IMHO). Limited mobility (pontoon boat) so really only fished the shallows.

    Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I had a tube in the water by 4:15, Water was cold. Started with my traditional 7"worm on one rod and a brush hog on another. Within 15 minutes I had my first bass of '99, a 2 lber. by 6:15 landed 6 fish ranging from 1-3 lbs. Locations varied from 10-20' to 2-5'. Also hit a good onein about 5' 7'from shore, unfortunately I broke the cardianl rule and started messing with the drag which allowed the fish to shale the worm, I estimate the fish to be 5-7 lbs.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Tips:The fish are scattered but are starting to concentrate at the spawning areas. The slow retrieve is sitll the best one. I would imagine that split shotting would do well.

    Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Well, wouldn't you know, I got SKUNKED AGAIN on Saturday (although I got a strike like a FREIGHT TRAIN on a Carolina-rigged, craw-patterned zipper worm! I think it was a BIG-un, maybe an 8 or 10! Alas, my LEADER snapped -- frayed line from the rocky bottom, I suppose. Had 'er going for a minute or so, though!). A couple of my Bass-n-Tubes buddies were out there: Joe P. caught a nice 3.9'er on a dartheaded reaper (junebug?), plus another one crankin' a Wiggle Wart. Dave R. caught 4 keepers on a 4" dartheaded worm. A couple of guys on the shore (yo, Nicolo!) said they caught a 4 -1/2'er on a jig. Thinking back, I probably should've been throwin' jigs at the shore, too, maybe darkish little 1/4-ouncers with a 101 pork attached. I think all of the above-mentioned fish were caught in less than 10 feet of water (which stayed at a flat 50 degrees all day, by the way). I didn't chart much of *anything* from 15-30 ft. A couple of boats continued to hover out in the middle much of the day; I guess they were droppin' spoons (never saw' em pull anything up). Although the storm clouds threatened all day, the weather turned out to be quite nice, right up to sunset. ATTENTION FELLOW FLOAT TUBERS & KICKBOATERS: The Bass-n-Tubes tournament schedule opener is coming up soon @ Naci (Feb. 27-28)! Call John Lake for details (408-263-6174), or E- me from here. The balance of the schedule, as I've posted before, is as follows: March 28: Lake Berryessa (Capell Cove) /// April 25: Pinto Lake (Watsonville) /// May 16: Lake Sonoma (Yorty Creek) /// June 26-27: Delta - Middle River (2 days) /// July 25: Pinto Lake /// August 22: Delta - Middle River /// Sept. 19: Woodward Reservoir (Oakdale) /// Oct. 9-10: Clear Lake (2 days) /// Nov. 7: Los Banos Creek Reservoir ///. Get on out & join the fun! Meanwhile, we'll see you at the Sportsmen's Expo!
    City: San Jose

Tips: Tips:Jigs, craw-patterned crankbaits & light line techniques seemed to be the ticket. Wish I could've seen what was on the end of my Carolina rig, too!

Report: Fished from 8:30 to 11:30AM. Caught three fish. 2 on a brown jig with purple pork and one on a brown/chartreuse worm. The two jig fish were caught in 6 feet of water on the submergered island with the hazard cone on top it (right before you go up the creek). The worm fish was caught on the rocky point across form the launch ramp. Largest fish were caught on the jig.

Report: Glad I could help. I new that mat would be long gone before I could get back. I don't own any spots, nor does anyone else. I hope I helped a fellow angler find a good day on the water. Peace.

Report: Good Job Big Limits, just to let you know your spot is now everyone's spot. Just to update the spot has now been overfished so good luck trying to catch em there.

Report: Buddy and I took our sons out from noon til 5. The kids ended up with a total of 8 (4 each). 2 biggest went 3-1/4#s, 5 went 2 to 2 1/4#s, and the smallest wast 1#13 oz. They all came on a jumbo minnow split shot behind the boat while we fished with hula grubs, lipless cranks, plastice worms, brush hogs, swimin senko. Nothing worked for us. All the minnow fish came from 8-10' of water. Very surprised the fish weren't more active with the weather we have had. It was very windy as well.
    City: Newark

Tips: If you have little kids, the minnows saved the day. $5.99 for a dozen gave them something to watch play with and catch fish. We used circle hooks and all but one was hooked in the corner of the mouth.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished 4/13 from 5:30 to get the heck out!, Fished the weedy flats by the parking lot. I tossed senkos and landed 2 in my first 3 casts to 2.5 lbs, than one more on about my 15th cast than it went quite, I realized that they did not want it after it hit the bottom, if they hit it they would hit it on the way down so I switch to a stacy 90 rip bait and on my first cast I landed a 3lber, I said yes I am on to you guys now but did not catch another fish after that. I saw a guy with his 3 kids and the 8 year old boy caught his first 1 lber on a plastic worm, how great is that, I can't wait until one of my 3 kids catch one all by them self. My 4 year old daughter is going with me to Clear Lake 4/17 and 4/18 so she will have a good chance.
