Report: Went out with 2 friends, on the water at 6 and fished until noon. 26 fish, all small for the Delta, 1's and 2's. All on weightless senkos (watermelon black flake, watermelon red flake, rootbeer gold and red flake) off the riprap and in the tullies in Victoria Canal. Fish bit on the fall. Wish I could of got my buddies on some better fish. Got a few hits on jigs, but, got nothing back except half my traier. One blowup on frog, nothing on buzzbait
City: San JoseTips: Could use some, probably should have moved around more.

Report: My good friend Dan Gee took me out in his new 16# Lund. Dan caught a limit before I even got a hit. I just told him that he could catch all the small bass and I would catch the big one. Dan caught 12 bass from 1# to 3#s. And I caught an 8#
2oz on a weightless 5in. watermelon senko at the crest of the 9am high tide.
City: Frank's Tract areaTips: Be patient and cast spinnerbaits and senkos between the weed beds as often as possible.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Whisky Slough area in the AM on high tide. Only thing they would take were senkos in of any flavor. In fact my whole stash of Senkos was depleted by noon. Fish hit hard on the fall but nothing in size. Tried Buzzbait to no avail. Biggest catch of the day was on a Scum Frog, and no it was not a bass but a 3lb bull frog that took the bait (has anyone every had this happen before?) getting ready to lip a bass but got freaked out at another frog staring at me. Anyhow senkos senkos senkos.
City: StocktonTips: Senkos only! after I used them all up I switched to a bag of Wave Tiki Stick, no bites, found a beat up Senko and they started hitting on it, dont know maybe the action of the Senko.......Does anyone know the difference between Yamamoto Senkos and Yamamoto flashes? Both made by Yamamoto enterprises, look the same, but different bags and different names. Thanks.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Had a good day on Horny Toads if I could get the fish in the boat. I had 15 fish on and lost most between hook set and boat. I checked the hooks, they were sharp but the fish would come unbuttoned. I thought I was not letting them eat it enought so I would just let is set there after they hit it but they would not swim off with it. I will try again. HAR

Water Temp: 68-72
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Hog and Sycamore sloughs. Bought a 1/2 oz white chatterbait at the Hook the other day and decided to see how good it was. Threw it most of the day. Caught around 20 bass with it (largest 3 lbs). My partner and I ended the day catching 11 keeper size bass (most 1.5-2 lbs).
City: DixonTips: Need to check the thin wire swivel on the chatterbait on a regular basis. One time it opened up (would have lost the lure if I didn't notice it) and several times, it got bent. All fish were caught inside a weed line or near some sort of cover.

Report: Reading these reports on big break got me excited so I took the the drive to the Delta for the weekend. My partner and I all in all had a good weekend. Usaully no skiers in the break (maybe a jet ski or 2), but there was a few on Saturday. Got 16lbs on Saturday between big break and Taylor slough on blades, biggest went about 7 lbs. Sunday the morning bite was great! We had 20 lbs 9;30 am left at around two in the afternoon with 22lbs. Blades, flukes and sweetbeavers. Better fishing here than clear lake thats for sure.
City: ukiahTips: We had fun but we fought the wind and it paid off. We were fishing the spinner baits pretty fast but they seemed to take right when it hit the water.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: 1pm launched out of hollands tract with my buddy sean. fished the tulles opposite from the docks with no luck. the wind was just killing us. couldn't get boat position. i had to fight with the trolling motor on full power and was still getting blown around. so we decided to find somewhere with calmer winds. lucky we did! between the two of us we must of caught over 15 fish, biggest one was a 7.75 that i caught next to some tulles. my personal best so far. i was so happy i missed sean's hi five. turned what was going to be a ok day to a great day.
City: el sobranteTips: all fish caught on rattel traps

Water Temp: 68-69 degrees
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launed out of Russo's at sunrise and went to favorite spots on Franks Tract. My fishing buddy's 1st cast nailed a 3lb stripper that just straightened the wires on his spinnerbait and took forever to bend back into shape..The Gail force winds where extremely difficult to fish in..We then caught several small fish around tules with blades. Tried finding areas out of the wind which was impossible to do so off the water around 12:30pm.
I love the Delta but the wind really messes up the day.The perdicted wind for the day was 10-20 but it felt more like 40mph Gail winds..
City: EDHTips: Don't fish when it's windy you will only regret it later..

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of paridise. Fished around king island and white slough. little mike nailed a 7lber on a rip bait first thing . As the wind increased the bite decreased. Beavers flipped as the boat roared by the tullies worked. Saw a fish or two on beds? Rattle traps nailed a couple of small keepers in the wind. No spinner bait bite?
City: orangevaleTips: Tough fishing in a gail. Big fish need slow presentation. Still the delta is a neat place.Should have checked the weather forcast for wind conditions.
