Report: Question for myboatsfaster...do you know what distinguishes stupidity from ignorance? Stupidity is someone who knows they are acting in their own worst interest, so why are you so ignorant???
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Keep off the delta so the rest of us can stay safe and enjoy what the delta has to offer.

Report: Fog was so bad out of b&w got later start than i wanted. Fished behind Little franks. Threw small white blades. Got sick of dinks . Went with senkos on ikey heads green pumpkin with red. Got several 3 & 4,s. All in dark black shade with wood. If i was in sun bite was dead. Came back to pirates cove for shade. Sure enough fish on! Talked with bluegill fisherman at the dock. They got run off by big bass once they hooked blues. Same pattern for blues wood.
    City: Orangevale

Tips: Should have thrown shell cracker or anything in blue-yellow or chartruse. Thats why im not on espn2 yet. You have to find the pattern within the pattern!

Report: To "myboatsfaster" I've known two people like you...One, I went to his funeral two years ago after his boating accident and now you; I don't know you so I won't be attending your funeral and I really hope I won't be attending one of my many fishing buddies funeral who enjoys fishing the Delta due to your inconsiderate recklessness. I would rather put up with the deep v's than you!!!
    City: Citrus Heights

Tips: Why don't you send us all an emial next time you're planning to head to the Delta so the rest of us can fish elsewhere and be safe.

Report: In response to "myboatsfaster". Only up to 70mph when you have limited visability. You my friend are either full of it or an absolute idiot. There are other numerous ways to hurt yourself without endangering others that only want to enjoy the water and catch some fish. Pick one of the other ways, PLEASE!!!

    Water Temp: 73-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Well today started out pretty foggy when I launched the Allison out of B&W. I could only get up to 70MPH with the fog, but it is really exhilarating to drive that fast when you can't see more than 15-20 yards in front of the boat. Did pretty good today once the fog burned off. Caught several dinks in the rip raps on some hand poured plastics. Then motored over to another spot and landed a 7 lb bigmouth bass with a fluke. Had to head in early and was off the water by noon. Is anyone else annoyed by the deep v's hanging out everywhere? They are always in the way.

Tips: Try different colors and presentations. Stay on the rocks, thats where the fish are.

    Water Temp: 64 - 69 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's at 1:00 p.m. and was off the water by 7:00 p.m. My buddy/coworker also came out and joined me in his Bayliner bass boat. We followed each other around in 14 Mile Slough and then out to Big Al's and back. The flippen/punchen bite was on in 14 Mile Slough behind LVW Marina using oxblood sweet beavers, catching several bass up to 3 lbs. Then we headed out to Big Al's and I started working my California Swim Jig on my new swim bait rod. Got nailed by a real nice size bass that aggressively hit my swim jig.

    Water Temp: 64 - 68 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Luanched the custom valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's today about 8:00 a.m. and was off the water by 1:30 p.m. A tuogh 5 fish limit today even though I caught 12 bass (DINK DAY!!) using white spinnerbaits, sweet beavers & flippen tubes, but spent most of my time expiramenting with the California Swim Jig. I could not find the Dirty Jig locally so I bought a Renegade 1/2 oz swim jig and some Robo Easy Shads, it was a cool setup. Got several tail strikes with it, but no hook ups (in time I will eventually). Wish I didn't have to work tonight the bite seemed to get better as the day got warmer (afternoon bite!!).
    City: Stockton

Tips: It was a reaction bite basically until the sun was high enough, the the flippen/punch bite was just starting to take off when it was time to go home. The swim jig bites came off of a medium speed retrieve in around 10 feet of water.

    Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched New Hope and started at our midway point island just between Hog and Sycamore sloughs...started out crankin' but no hits so decided to work the tule and weedline edges and picked up a couple on junebug senko. Then moved up the Mokulemne to just around the corner from B&W; still no hits crankin' and this is usually where we they hit our speed traps and kvd 2.5s in red craw and sexy shad. ZIP on the cranks so went back to senkos and picked up a mixed limit of keepers and dinks..biggest going 2-14. Coulda said 3 but the scale didn't lie and 3 ain't braggin' rights by no means but I still get excited at 2+..hahaha. Anyway, after working some more tule strips and another mixed bag of barely keepers and dinks all on senko, decided to head back to port and stopped at Hog. Went in and noticed swirls and splashing and thought it was stripers, so we threw out some 1/2oz Cordell spots .... wow, double hookup with chinooks. Had to release at the boat while in the water to stay legal but sure was fun til we saw they could've cost us some hefty fines! I almost cut my $3. lure off having so much trouble releasing it but finally got it unhooked.
    City: folsom

Tips: Senkos seemed to be the ticket this day; change up often enough when something isn't working after a few locations.
Know and keep regs handy; when we first hooked up with the salmon, we weren't sure and so we released them on a hunch; we were real relieved when we checked the regs and saw salmon closed. Then when we got back to New Hope, we found out there were a couple fines handed down at $600 ea for possession in that area. (even if they were caught on Sac river. If in doubt, don't take it out!

    Water Temp: 63.5 to 64.8

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Ladds at day break and fished until 12:15 pm...we fished Fourteen Mile Slough and caught 15+ fish all on shad colored crankbaits. On the north side of the slough we worked the rock walls and I caught a 4.5 lb large mouth and then my son caught a 6 lb about five casts later. All in all a nice day on the water and got to spend time with my son, can't beat that.

Report: Lauched @ holland marina, first fish was a keeper (barely) on a green pumpkin senko, all day I caught 30-40 fish, all dinks I think three fish might have gone 12 ", pulled two of the keepers from a ledge in 12' of water outside of cruiser haven wake board and ski boats could care less about the 5mph zone there. All fish came on the wacky rig, no reation for me. Fished high to outgoing tide
    good luck and be safe.

    Water Temp: 69

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a great bite. The fish were really active and gave great fights when hooked. The day before was a a bright, hot, sunny day without an ounce of wind and no moving water. It was the clearest water I've ever seen on the delta. That day I happened to stumble upon a weed bed that was loaded with bass. The water was too clear though. So the next day my buddy and I headed to that weed bed. Similar conditions but there was cloud cover. We were in between tides and the water was rising. I threw 6" black n blue senkos and it was game on. Caught 16 in two hours. All keepers with the smallest weighing 1.10 and biggest went 3lbs. They had a lot of fight in em. I swear I was reeling in 5 pounders. Unfortunately my buddy only hooked into 2 fish. He didn't have proper tackle and was dealing with a set up that hadn't been used in 15 years. We had a blast though and the both of us caught a fish each on our first casts of the day. Gotta love that

    Water Temp: 60 - 65 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Luanched the custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's about 9:00 a.m. and was off the water at 5:30 p.m.(I was late for my own birthday dinner with the family). I started out towards Big Al's, but when I saw the dredger was working in the area I decided to turn around and head for 14 Mile Slough and also fished Disappointment Slough. Confirming Burkes report there was a good spinnerbait bite( first 5 fish limit of the day). With the bright sunny day today the flip/punchen' bite was on in the hyicinth and other floating weed mats (second 5 fish limit). I was all out of my sweet beavers so I used Strike King flippen tubes and the bass were smoking them. My third 5 fish limit today came off of a black/brown jig probing the outside edge of the weed line during the bottom out low tide. My last 5 fish limit came from a crome/blue Rat-L-Trap which I alternated back and forth with the spinnerbait as search patterns. Big fish today was 5.5 lbs. punchin' the flippen tube (2 tone Black/red with red flake).
    City: Stockton

Tips: Use a search pattern then rework the area with a slower pattern. The larger fish today preffered to be buried up underneath the thick floating mats. I enjoyed catching my first 5 fish limit on the 8 ft. Xheavy action Okuma Swimbait rod which is going to work out being a good puchin rod too.

    Water Temp: mid 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at Paradise around 8:30A and fished a variety of spots all the way to Frank's Tract. Off the water at 3:00P. The 3 of us probably caught over 30 black bass, but only 6 of them were keeper size. Also caught a shaker striper on a 3/4 oz Rat L Trap off the East Wall in Frank's.
    City: Dixon

Tips: Most of our fish were caught on a 1/2 oz white spinnerbait with a red trailer in weeds (outside edge, middle, and inside edge). We threw a variety of lures, but the spinnerbait was the lure of choice today. Weather was great today. Most of the day, wind was not a factor.

    Water Temp: 61 - 65 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" around 2 p.m. at Ladd's and fished until 6:30 p.m. Started out first looking for stripers around mouth of the Calaveris River then moved to the Dad's Point area. With all the weekend boat traffic in the main channel I decided to head for 14 Mile Slough and check out the pump house area fishing for LM Bass along the way. A few small bass grabbed my Rat-L-Traps I used as a search pattern, but the larger bass and big fish (4.2 Lbs.) were nailing my black jigs. I found the fish were preferring to hang out along the rock walls now. Punching the hyicinth at some spots turn out to be a bust so concentrated back on the rock walls until the sun started to go down. 10 bass and zero stripers today.
    City: Stockton

Tips: bass were holding 5 to 10 feet of water inside and out side edge of weed lines along the rock walls. Started by banging the jig on the rocks while jig sank. Nearly all the paint came off the lead head today. When jig came off the rocks and into the weeds is when it was getting slammed.

    Water Temp: 67

Report: I can confirm the good crank bite in the east delta. Plenty of aggressive hookups although many were under or around 12 inches. Despite the numbers, it took several hours to catch and release 5 keeper sized fish. Shad and red craw colors both worked well in lipless crank and shallow runners. Most fish were tight to the rip rap on the outgoing tide.
    City: Stockton

Tips: If I could have gone 88 mph instead of 35 mph, I would have been to my spot 93 seconds faster.

Report: Very informative! Thank you. There's a good crank bite. I've been throwing shad colors instead of the craw. When that bite dies throw senkos in the cinnamon with red/blue 5". Not too much size but lots of action.
    City: Concord

Tips: Shallow bombers. End of low tide.

Report: Well it's been a while since I've gotten to post. I've been down in Alabama for the last 4 months taking care of my Memaw. Don't worry, I got to sneak out and do a little shore fishing ;) However, on my way home, I made a little detour up to a little town called Louisville, TN and picked up a nice little Allison XB-2002 (Uh, can you say FAST!!!!) I took it out on the Delta for the first time today and got it up to 88 mph before I got a little nervous, the throttle wasn't even buried yet. After the fun, I fished some rip raps near the boat club and pulled a 4.5 and a 7. And too many dinks to remember. All I've got to say is you'd better get up pretty early to get to the honey hole before I do. Hope to see ya'll soon on the water, cause you won't see me, just my wake:0

Tips: Stay out of my way.

Report: Message to the speed freak idiot. I was also out the same day and indeed, the fog was quite heavy. I huddled close to shore and didn't go faster then 10 mph and still could barely see 20 feet ahead.
I used to sell boats and too many times I saw demolished boats come into our dealership where idiots like you smashed into other boats during heavy fog, killing or seriously injuring others.
If you're determined to keep getting that rush, try killing yourself in a place where you can't hurt anyone else.

Tips: When boating, please be safe and think of others
