Water Temp: 73 - 78 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: After buying a brand new battery for my custom valco "BASSBUSTER1" I launched out of Ladd's at 12 noon. I ran her for an hour and started fishing in White Slough(fishing around the entire King's Island). Using Cranks, spinnerbaits, senkos, and finesse straight tail worms I managed to catch 15 bass, largest was just 2.5 lbs. It was bottom out low tide with the first cuople hours of the incoming tide. I was off the water by 7:30 p.m.
City: StocktonTips: Keep changing lures and techniques. There was no set pattern found today. when the wind picked later in the afternoon I had no choice, but to stay with the cranks and spinnerbaits. Tight lines and be safe out there.

Water Temp: 68-76
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished from Whites up to Sycamore and back. Went for stripers til about 9am and caught a dozen undersize fish on spoons and shad. Then switched to black bass fishing. Constant action all day until I left the water at 3pm and caught too many fish to count but not much size other than a 5 lber on a shad pattern crankbait.
City: mantecaTips: Flipped watermelon/red senkos to holes in the weeds and the inside weed line/trough. Also threw buzzbait until the wind kicked up then switched to a shad swimbait or crankbait depending on the weed conditions. Fish were very active all over and were schooled up.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Lauched out of Holland Tract at 7am. Started out sunny with no wind but strong outgoing tide. Headed out to the main channel and fished the first set of tulles. 2nd cast with a popper and landed a #3-lb. Had luck with poppers, wacky worms {fished both wacky and weedless}brush hogs, frogs. All fish caught on dark colors.
Wind picked up about 10am and headed in at noon.
City: AntiochTips: In the past I've seen a lot of garbage floating in the current but today a 20 foot+ boat dock with all the cleats and benchs floated by.
Be real careful out their. -
Water Temp: 72-76
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Delta the last two days, first day we fish 14 Mile, water was dirty and picked up two keepers on chatterbait, missed two on a frog.Headed to mildred tossed frogs and sencos and got nothing. Headed to whites tossed frog, chatterbait and spinnerbait getting small ones on spinner and chatter baits. Heading back to Ladds we make one last stop at the mouth of Calivares and pick up a 6lbr on the chatterbait. Sometimes it pays to make that one last stop lol. Tuesday we start at the north entrance to 14 Mile for no bites, head to train bridge at Middle River for no bites, head to Old River and start fishing our way up to Woodward, fish a cople spots in Woodward and back down Middle River, hit one more spot on the Main Channel. We were tossing chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, secos and frogs, picked one on a senco and four on the frogs, off the water bye two.
City: modestoTips: Bigger fish of the day came on the frog, but nothing over 2lbs.Biggest fish of the two days on a chatterbait swimming by a tulie clump.

Report: Gentlmen,I'd like to share a pretty scarry experience with you. Launched out of Orwood this past Thursday with my 7 yr old son for a day of fishing. Caught small fish pretty much all day 1-1 1/2lbs throwing senkos and drop shots. I decided to call it a day later that evening around 6:15. On the way back to the launch ramp my son asks if we can fish a while longer. After a hesitant moment I decided to safely u-turn in that stretch between Disco Bay and Orwood and head to Cruiser Haven. After turning left at the slough that runs parallel to Disco Bay (Indian Slough I believe) there's moderate boat traffic and a few jet skiers. So we're headed up the slough at about 35 to 40 mph when I notice a big cabin cruiser headed in the opposite direction. It's traveling at a safe speed. Near the end of the slough and preparing for the right turn that we're about to take, I decide to veer to the right to minumize the affects of the cruiser's inevitable wake. It's at that point when I hear and feel a loud crashing sound at the bottom of my transom. The boat immediately begins to spin out of control. I quickly turn off the engine and we end up facing the opposite direction pretty shook up but absolutely unharmed, thank God! Two bass boats with two anglers each immediately approach us to see if we were OK. They were kind enough to rope up to our boat and tow us back to the launch with the other boat following us. Back at the launch they help us pull the boat up onto the trailer, provided us with extra rope to help secure my severely damaged and dangling lower unit to my engine! After a friend of mine showed up to help me and the little one home, the four samaritans decided to head on their way. My son and I'd like to thank Jeremy, Leroy, Ryan, and Josh (four complete strangers)from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to help two complete strangers in an extreme time of need! Thanks fellas...that was very big of you all! Oh yeah, FYI for those that are unaware...there are obviously submereged pilings or some sort of structure in that afformentioned area that we clipped causing our accident. Please be careful...we were very lucky! Good Fishing and safe boating to all!

Report: Yes, I agree as well and did not mean to exclude bass boats from the list of those who lack courtesy and mutual consideration..in fact, some are downright arrogant and rude. To them, if you don't have a bassboat, you ain't worth their attention. I think every group has that element. But also have met some very cool bassers who talk to you and don't mind sharing insights and courtesy, and no matter what kind of boat you have. And YES I DO slow down in the sloughs when I see others fishing or just moored.
OK, FOR THE REPORT... fished the early morning outgoing tide, first topwater, only 1 blowup, next moved to speedtrap and picked up 4 1-2 lbers; moved along the tules and worked senkos from inside weedline, over the top, then dropped along the outside weedline. picked up 4 more this way, mostly as the bait moved over the top to drop on the outside. then changed from wacky to t-rigged and this sliced it through the weedline and picked up 2 more. off the water by noon.
City: folsomTips: Fish both T-rig and wacky senkos between the weedline and tules. Work it through or over the weedline and to the dropoff to deeper water. Worked for us but not all the time obviously. Hoping for an increased crank bite.

Report: Bass boats have just as bad manners. How many bass boats slow down for you when you're in a slough? I'm a bass fisherman by the way.
Tips: Don't be a hypocrite.

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of H&H at sunrise. Caught 8 fish in 2 hours never losing sight of the marina, with a 3lb 8oz and 2lb 9oz holding tight to the tule islands. The bite slowed for many hours, with just a few more small fish in White Slough. Fished Sycamore Slough from 2:00 to 4:30 for 9 more fish, mostly dinks outside submerged weed-lines, with a 4lb 8oz tight to the tules mixed in. Ended the day with 19 fish, best 5 just under 14 pounds according to my scale.
Tips: Primarily used Texas-rigged 5” Senkos, slow retrieve or dead-sticked. Red Shad or PB&J colors in the morning and Green Pumpkin or Watermelon in the afternoon. Water clarity in Sycamore was 5+ feet.

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched 7am New Hope..high tide chocolate milk through Hog Slough and lotta flotsam/debris through to the Mokulemne/Tower, plus lots of skiers and old fogies zippin' around in their inflatables, no manners!
OK, fishing report: Started at fav B&W tule strips and picked up a few 12"ers on red-eye shad and speed traps. Drifted down on the opposite rockwall/weedbed side and picked up a few more 1-2-lbers on kvd 1.5 in sexy shad (I really didn't catch anything with this crank til yesterday)...drifted to our fav single dock and picked up a few more 1-lbers after switching to red/orange craw speedtraps. Water was churned up pretty good and tried to go through White Slough but that's when the old fogies in inflatables just zipped within 10 yds of our boat without even blinking an eye, one even stared at me like "What?"...so at that point, we knew it was time to just get off the water and let the holiday boaters have their fun.
City: folsomTips: Speed traps and lipless cranks (we prefer Red Eye Shad in 1/4oz craw colors) along tops of submerged weed patches.
Share the water with manners. There were many wake, ski, and large craft who slowed down as they passed us, but that many more who didn't see the need. Yeah I know, if we can't take it, don't get on the water.

Report: Launched out of ladds ran to back of ski beach and landed 2 off of the dean rojas big bite frogs while flipping. Then ran bout half way to Mildred and fished in the rain for a GREAT TOPWATER BITE!!! I missed a monster that looked to be atleast 8 pounds after he threw my gunfish with larger trebels swapped out!!! WTF? Decided to throw spooks for a greater hookup chance and knocked them out!!! Target outside grasslines on the incoming tide. And at high tide flip that spook as far back as possible without getting tangled. A slow walk was key. I love postspawn topwater.
City: stocktonTips: Topwater and a SLOW retrieve!!!

Water Temp: 67
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: On the water @830am at New Hope and went straight to our favorite tule strips around the corner from B&W; fished mainly craw speedtraps and 1/4oz red eye shad lipless. Between my big bro and me, maybe caught 25, mostly 1 lbers and some dinks but we managed a few nice 2 lbers, bro's biggest was 2.10 and mine was 2.8, the others were right at 2. Used stop and go and quick pumps on the rod to simulate a craw retreating...they hit alot on the stop or the pump, hardly any hit on just a retrieve. quit at 1:30pm to beat the friday traffic! good day!
City: FolsomTips: fished just outside the weedlines but also found them away from the weedlines toward the middle/open areas. fished mainly 6-11ft. used stop and go cadence on both speedtraps and lipless. keep tension on the lipless when you stop for a couple seconds to feel any hits.
fish on...fish off...oh fish on again!!

Report: Fished with Bobby Barrack on Monday throwing sencos, chatterbaits and of coarse frogs, we caught some two and three lbrs through out the day. This guy is awsome, easygoing nice guy but when he is explaining things to ya hes definatley intence. Learned alot about fishing frogs, the prespawn and post spawn, cant wait to take that new knowlage and apply it on my water
City: ModestoTips: We fished 13 hours, this was money well spent, not because the amount of time we fished but the knowlage gained....priceless.

Water Temp: 62-67deg
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched late high tide at New Hope; got even later start having to get oil from KOA/Tower Park Marina...thanx KOA camp store! Ok,ran up to our fav tule strips around the corner from B&W, thinking the lipless crankbait/speed trap bite would be on. NOT! Ran back to Sycamore Slough....got a line-screamer that lasted 3 secs and I choked! By this time, my big brudda had 3 hookups, not big, but keepers. Moved to Hog Slough and even bigger NOT!! Moved to Beaver Slough and big brudda insisted he wanted to catch on senkos. He knocks out 4 more on a junebug 5" senko in 2-5 ft. between the bank and top of the weedline. We didn't catch alot today....I say we but it was strictly my bro. I stink like the skunk that sat with me on the front of the boat.
City: folsomTips: If you're initial attack doesn't pan out, start throwin' anything that makes sense to you at the time. I got the line screamer on a watermelon/red flake Yuki Bug but I was using a 3/16 flick-shake shakey head and didn't leave enough hook to set. My big bro just concentrated on the shallow strip between the rockwalls and weedline and he just popped the senko through the weedline and then let it settle on top....the fish would pick it off the top of the weedline....dang, didn't work for me but my big bro SLAMMED 'em. Water Temp: 64-68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Decent day, got out on the water about 8:00 a.m. launched from Buckley Cove & fished Turner Cut & 14 Mile slough, stuck a 5#er right off the bat on a Senko in 14 Mile in the tulies. then a couple in the 2-3# range along the same bank. Cut across to the other side & fished the isolated tulies along the rip rap & stuck a 4+ and another 3#er on a craw colored spinnerbait. Then stuck a PIG that went every bit of 8 lbs. got a good look at her right before she came unbuttoned at the boat(DOH !!). then cruised over to Turner Cut & caught a couple more in the tulies on the Senko. off the water by 1:00. as the "Tool Patrol" (all the "cool"kids in their Daddy's boats)were launching.
Pretty good day for a little over 4 hours fishing.
City: ModestoTips: DEEP in the tulies. the farther back you can get, the better. Natural colors seem to work best. Spinnerbaits in craw colors on isolated tulie patches seemed to be the ticket also. Have fun & feel blessed to have such a great fishery in our back yard !!

Water Temp: 64-68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Last 4 days on the River has offered some incredible fishing! Spent all day Thursday & Friday with Steve Colley in the flooded lakes tossing 9X Senkos in 925 & 297 colors patterns to the shallow flats in the flooded lakes. We were targetting large bass that were moving in and out around the blue gill colonies. Patience was the key in that once ya found one of these colonies of gills, ya had ta back a little off and wait out 3-5 minutes ta see if there were any giant gill raiders present, eventually when they showed themselves, we watched their roaming routine and would cast that big slug of a Senko into their path and wait for em to make their rounds. We caught 20-25 fish doing this with the biggest going 7.5 pounds, also lost a double digit fish(one of many we saw, but the only one ta grab the Senko)as she was too far back in the tules ta git control of. Friday we experienced a great poppper/chugger bite early in the flats of Frank's Tract, then we mosied around the grass flats of Frank's, Lil Mandy & Mildred, tossing Yamamoto Kreatures in 330 on a texas rig, caught a lot of fish doing this to 3 pounds. Not a big fish bite yet but certainly good for numbers, had ta really hop that Kreature ta draw strikes. If ya slow fished it like the Senko, they wouldn't touch it!
Yesterday and this morning offered some great topwater fishing all day, the lowere tides were perfect in the middle Delta. Fishing by myself, I found popper & Spook fish in the deep grass flats off tule islands with deep drop offs near by. These were all post spawn fish that have backed off and are now moving into their summer patterns, great numbers the past two days in that 3-6 pound range on topwater.
City: OAKLEYTips: Lots of bass fry starting to show in many areas from the past week, big bucks and hens guarding these fry balls are succeptable to Senkos & Topwater. There is still a good number of pre-spawners that you can target in the shallows, some moving in on gill colonies, others out cruising wating for a buck to drag em into the bed room. Topwater bite is coming on with the warming, it's been good for me and I know the top three teams in Saturdays FPT event here got em all on frogs. Don't overlook fish burried deep in the tules, sometimes in as little as 6" of water, if it's dark in there, they are liable ta be present. Keep an eye out for gills, both small and the big spawning red ears, you find the gills spawning, you'll find some of the biggest bass this River has to offer close by raiding them fer a change while the gills spawn! Typically here, these pre-spawn giants, don't see blue gills up bedding when they are on the prowl, easy meal for the bass, likely target for the saavy bass guys!
