    Water Temp: 47

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished club tournament today. The fishing was tough, my partner and I only caught 7 fish all day the best five going 8.65lbs. The winning team had 14.70 with a nice 4.30lb spotted bass.
There was another club out also and I believe their winning weight was 12lbs. It was a strugle for most. Jigs worked best for us off of points and islands in 6-12 feet of water. football head jigs with yamamotto hula grubs in green or brown.

Tips: Fish slow. Dock talk was all about jigs, drop-shot and senko's. a few anglers picked a couple up on crankbaits.

Report: Fished from 7-3 caught 10 fish 9 on deep diving crank baits and 1 on a spinner bait. Fish were up shallow in the morning and backed off into about 15'-20' in the afternoon. We caught all of our fish in one spot. Best 5 fish went 16-17 lbs. Big fish was a 4 lb large mouth caught by my partner.
    City: Lincoln

Tips: bang the bottom and fish slow.

    Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Wow.....what a beautiful day for fishing and CFW didn't let us down. Lake is at full pool and water clarity was magnificant and we had overcast most of the morning and zero wind all day. Yuba City club was having a tournament there and just curious as to what the winner had as our best 5 went over 12 lbs and would have been more had the 4+ not broken me off at the boat. Winter fishing is always a blast at this lake so get out and enjoy it.
    City: Wheatland

Tips: Can't say there was any particular pattern as we caught them from 7-20' using tubes, dragging jigs and drop shotting. Seem to be holding on or near any type of brush or cover and some of the bites were jolting while others were pure pressure bites. Best plastic color was watermelon brush hog fished slow.

Report: took a couple buddies that only fish from shore for whatever. started throwing cranks without a bite. started fishing points in main body heading up creek. not getting bit at all. finally looked on graph and saw monster school of smelt. so much that u could almost walk on them. then the jig bite went off. they couldnt get bit so we hooked em up a darter head and a drop shot. well the drop shot picked up fish all day darter head zero. switched other guy to drop shot and finally he hooked up. i got limit about 9 lbs best 2.5 jig and drop shot. the guy who never caught a bass before caught his limit dropsshotting and is hooked on it. the other guy just liked setting the hook alot. usually nobody home. but he did get one fish and broke off a 3+ at boat. bummer. never flip in a three pounder on six pound test. oh snap!
    City: plumas lake

Tips: find bait find fish. bellies and mouths full of smelt. jig in brn and purp. and drop shot in dark colors.

    Water Temp: 66

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launch is still in water but if you plan on fishing CFW, get there soon if you want to use the ramp as it should be out of the water in a week or so. Water was crystal clear in the main body but the fish were active although not as much as I had hoped for. Plenty of action on the tube but just couldn't get anything generated on reaction bite yet. Talked to some guys on the lake who were getting hit on swimbait but nothing landed. Weather was quite breezy and thought a blade would have worked better. Numbers for the day were probably 20-25 bass between the 2 of us and biggest a nice 3 lb spot. The fish are feeding as belly is bulging and spitting out shad when coming on board.
    City: Wheatland

Tips: A tube presentation on 1/4 darthead fished around rock up to 10-15' depth. Worked main body walls as the further we went up river, the less they bit. Good bite right now so enjoy it while you can.

Report: Wait until 8:30 am until the fish start to bite. That's what the Junior Bass Club ( NorCal Bass Ratz) did for their tournament. The water is low, but the fish are in 25-40ft of water right now. Top water in the late part of the day. Dater head with a sexy shad, Jigs, lipless crank bait and a drop shot.
Winning weight was 11.58 lbs for the big bag of five fish.
    City: Rocklin

Tips: Work Rock Creek and the main body....

    Water Temp: 71-75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started off around 9:30 on the main basin near the dam. Started there because there are always fish there and I was looking just to get bit. Caught a 2.37 and 2.07 there, one on a dropshot and the other on a wacky senko. Lake slicked off, so made a run up the river. Keeper #3 on a Rico in a shade pocket at 2.15. Back down the lake a bit and caught keepers #4 & #5 in a cut with some trees. One on a darthead (2.20) and the other on a jig (2.66). Ended the day cranking shallow points in the main basin for alot of keepers, but nothing that would cull what was in the box. Ended up with 11.20'ish on the cull'em rite. Good day, off at 2 PM.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Keep moving, lots of bait and the fish keep moving to follow the bait. Crank bite will be on fire if there is a good wind blowing.

Report: TOUGH BITE. FISHED FROM 3-7 P.M. WITH POPS AND ONLY LANDED TWO FISH. WE MISSED TWO BITES AS WELL, BUT AS PREVIOUS REPORT SAID THEY FELT LIKE BLUEGILL OR REAL SMALL BASS. BOTH FISH CAUUGHT ON TUBES IN 20-25 FEET. WE DID SEE ALOT AND I MEAN ALOT OF FISH AND BAIT SUSPENDED 40 FEET DEEP IN 60 FEET OF WATER, BUT COULD NOT GET THEM TO BITE.

Report: Went out with Wifey for the first time this year.

After dealing with the usual first of the year stuff(Battery issues water pump issues); We started out fishing around the launch area.

I succombed to the first cast first fish curse. I caught a small Spotted on my first cast using a Stacy 90 Rip Bait. Only managed 2 more small ones.
