Water Temp: 64-70
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Not much to talk about. Launced from Lucerne and worked our way north, ended up circling the entire North End down to Henderson point then went through the narrows to try some deeper water down south.
Ripped a two pounder on my first cast, took until 1:50, when I dart headed one from 18 feet, to get the "first cast first fish stink" off. In between my partner flipped a chunky one. That was it. We tried shallow and deeper docks, shallow flats, outside of flats, deeper points down south. Just very tough for us and like most people we saw a lot of fish shallow.
City: Elk GroveTips: Don't know what to offer except to stay off the tules, docks, etc, and pitch/cast from as far as you can. We tried reaction & finesse in addition to the standard flip baits.

Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished FPT on Saturday with poor results as compared to the weeks leading up to the tournament.Started off around Konocti where I landed A 11.2 last weekend and only had two bites on jerk bait then we moved down south a little until around 10.00 AM then we had A 2 hour window when the fish would bite landed about 25 to 30 fish but no size. Only ended up with 11.86lbs.
City: sacTips: Caught most fish around Gooseneck area on greenpumpkin baby brush hoggs and jerk bait.

Report: My partner and I fished the Future Pro Tour this Saturday and it was tough. We tried everything with no luck. Around 12:30 the rain started and so did the fish. We wacked fish for 3 hours, unfortunatly not big ones! Texas rigged worms and drop shot worms were the ticket for us. We culled 2 fish and caught several under 13, but it was a good day considering the weather and I was not working! We had a small limit of about 10 pounds, not bad for the conditions. The pre fishing was a total different story the day before! Reaction was the ticket and we caught several on a carolina rig as well.
City: SacramentoTips: Keep an open mind....change when it is necessary. We had a solid game plan based on several days of pre fishing and the game plan had to change when the fish were not biting!

Water Temp: 57-60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Future Pro today. As Charlie Brown would say Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg...... Ripped,Darterheaded,Wack rigged Senco's,Drop shotted, even threw a swim bait. The fish god must have been pissed at me....I got one bite all day cranking a Norman 14 in craw that got a 3.72 Largemouth ...Hey points is points. Carp were everywhere also lots of dying shad floating on the surface. The fish I saw at the weigh in were really fat.
City: OaklandTips: If it's legal bring a bow and arrow for the carp...Cause the bass i was going after had a serious case of lock jaw. I think I'll take up something a little less challenging like Golf.

Water Temp: 56-62
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: went prefishing last weekend. turned out all the FPT guys and some AC tourney was out last weekend at well. Well, i guess that bass fishing and clearlake have gotten popular enough that every weekend in spring, there is a tourney or two going on.
Pattern had changed a lot since previous weeks as others had posted. a stronger than forecast cold front put the bite off and rained on us 80% of the dat saturday.
Sat - stayed south, found some smaller fish in staging areas and structures leading into spawning areas. only a few touches on the ripbait, mostly plastics for our fish. If it were a tourney, i think it would have been a 12 lb bag for us..
Sun - went about looking for new spots - most areas were unproductive, and areas we knew that held fish, held fish. Only one spawner caught (when blind casting in sapwning areas). still a couple of rip fish. Sun was out for brief periods, and you could see the bass suspending under docks. we could not get them to go at all.
City: belmontTips: the vast majority of fish are still in prespawn stage. next weekend will be off the hook if the weather stays clear and it doesn't get too windy.

Water Temp: 51-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Some of you remember the report I did several years ago that started: "it takes a real man to post this report, etc". I know - I heard about it!!! Well, this is part two! I took two good fishermen to Clear Lake - one had never been there before. I thought we would work mid-lake, going a little north and a little south. We started strong - one guy got a nice chartreuse spinnerbait fish about 3 lbs and missed another - bringing it through the tops of submerged dormant tules around Rattlesnake Island. We moved to another good spot - nothing. The next area is usually good in prespawn but nothing the last two trips. As we were about to leave, I was throwing a brown/orange Rattlin' Weapon jig with a Yamamoto grub (guess what color!)and felt a little tick. Set on a nice gal that turned out to be nearly 6 pounds. Good start - 2 bass for almost 9 lbs. That was it for the day - that's right! The other fellow hooked one at Kono-Tayee but lost it, using a watermellon worm. I don't know how anyone else did but I sure noticed a lot of boats wandering around. I have seen this occasionaly before the spawn, bass seem to lose their appetite as they move shallow. Hard to believe that just a few weeks ago - 120 plus bass in two trips.
City: Yuba CityTips: I'm sure you are dying for a few tips from me. Look at my Pardee report - maybe that will help. Yesterday at Pardee saved me from total depression!! Anyway, I think the jig will continue to work, especially if there won't be as much sight-fishing. The water is pretty clear in some areas of the south. Hope you folks get the luck I didn't!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Worked hard for 12 or so small fish and two 5's in the south end around docks and rocks. Wacky Senko, dart heads. Missed several good "sight" fish. The H2O is the south is much cleaner with 5ft visibility is some areas.
Have fun

Water Temp: N/A
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: It's that time of year again. I am getting the bug to "Impale a Scale", thats right... carp shooting. I know the lake is still cold but the shallows in the tulies have got to be getting warmer. Has anyone seen any carp up shallow? How about some spawning action? If these golden trash fish are tearing up your bass fishing holes just let me know. Some buddies and I would be glad to stick a few and the wife wants some fertilizer for this years garden. Good luck with the bass and thanks for the info. Oscar the Carp Hunter.

Water Temp: 52-55
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished 3 hrs on 4/17 with my 4 year old daughter and 21 month old son did not catch a fish, camped on the lake that night and fished all day 4/18 and finally got a pattern going at the end of the day
using senkos in the toolies and weeds in the south end of lake, landed 7 bass to 3 lbs but boy they were fighters, boated 2 3 lbers that thought they were 5 lbers. My daughter caught a nice blueguil on a bobber and a 8-10 lb bass inhailed it and almost pulled her out of the boat, I took the pole from her and started to fight it but the bass let it go, the blueguil came to the top and the 8-10 lb bass was chasing it but my boat started drifting away from the dock with my kids in it and I had to save the kids, my wife would be happier with the kids coming home than a 10 lb bass:)
City: San JoseTips: Senkos in Watermellon any flake will work just outside the toolies. Toss it in the toolies and pull it through and they will hit it just after you pull it through. They will be in those toolies just as soon as the water warms up and it will be sight fishin time!! put them back if you catch a bed fish, I want my children to be able to bring there children fishing and actually catch fish.

Report: Rough week from the 11th to the 15th. Heavy rain and wind on Tue & Wed. Water stained at Konochti with a 10lb on Wednesday and a 10+ on Thursday on plastics. Several good fish on minnows for the boys; all around 3-4lbs. All around good fishing trip, with boat bildge working overtime.

Water Temp: 53-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Took two quality fish (a 5 and 4.75) just south of Konochti resort ripping a Staysee 90. Conditions were fairly tough with some pretty strong wind gusts so I headed back to the marina after about 3 hours of fishing. I did stop and rip one more fish just before calling it quits. Total for the day 3 fish for 11.75
Tips: Today my color choice for the Staysee 90 was Ghost Tennessee Shad.

Water Temp: 48-54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well for a blown out windy lake the fisherman from Basin Bassmasters did ok. We launched out of the State Park @ 6:30am and fished the North end for a few hours, but nothing. So Dennie and I went south and got our limit in Jaco Cove in front of some tules about 8 ft of water using a 4" green lizard. Buy noon we did not find anymore fish in the south so back north above the State Park into some shallow tules in 5-6 ft.
Saw a fish jump in the back, put my lizard on top of him and got our biggest fish for the day. (3.0 lbs). First place was Joe Miller and Tom Ericson for 10.30, Dennie and I got 9.50, Jim Malm and Quency 9.14. Very tough day for all of us. Maybe the weather well get better soon. No fish on the beds yet.
City: rocklinTips: Wait for a better day.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Put the boat in at a private ramp outside of jago around noon.It seemed like someone fliped a"spring time"switch cuz it was like 75 degrees. We started off at one of my favorite rockpiles in jago and my wife stuck a 3 on her second cast draggin a splitshot rig.I couldent get bit but the fish were there so we camped out for a couple hours,so she sticks a 6+ an hour later and im still skunked!finnally got into a bunch of avrage keepers, that died out and we went to horseshoe bend where i stuck a couple of dinks and a 6+, again draggin the rig.decided to go to a bay near richmond park where i proceeded to rip a buttload of dinks and nailed one fiver draggin a robo.I saw a few double digit fish that looked like they were thinking about it (prespawn!!!)but the weather is gonna turn to crap again so who knows
City: lower lakeTips: water on the south end is crazy clear(up to ten foot vis)be as quiet and unseen as you can.splitshot/dropshot continues to produce for me and everyone ive talked to,tight lines!
