Water Temp: 59 Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Spent 3 days on the lake wished I had my partner with me. Fri morning got up and watched the Stratos regional blast off in some very high nasty wind decided since I wasn't in the tournament to wait till it died down which turned out to be about 11a launched with my 7yr old daughter glad I was in a 20ft Stratos it was till a little rough went into Rodman started catching fish right away on small plastics went to pitching a 6" Junebug Keeper tootsie Roll worm into the very deep cover and that is where the bigger fish were managed to find one fish a little over 9lbs Quit about 2:30 and the best five went about 27lbs. Went back out 1st thing Sat morning with my 10yr old son the weather and water were the best went back to rodman did the same stuff and boated about 17 to 18 lbs for the day. Even and bad day on Clear Lkae is better than a great day at work but thes few days were pretty good for me and the kids
City: ModestoTips: Deep cover medium to large baits don't fish to fast take your time don't try and force feed these fish and you should do well. For Camping the willow point camp ground right next to library park is under new management for the last couple years and Chad the manager has really fixed the place up nice it is recommened

Water Temp: 56-59 Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: I guided two fellows yesterday on the north end which was windless until 1 pm. We caught a dozen bass - all tournament keepers with one going 4 lbs 10 oz which was caught drop-shotting. We fished mostly docks and walls - which seemed to get better as the day warmed up. Pattern you ask? There really wasn't one - we caught bass on several kinds of baits - rippin, cranks, worms, Senkos, brush hogs, and so on. We did catch a few on tule banks. Several people we talked to were really struggling. It did not warm up yesterday as much as was predicted. We still felt pretty good about the trip.
City: Yuba CityTips: I really don't have much that would be of any help. We did catch fish it seemed in pairs which made it seems like they were still schooled. The water temp had dropped some and I think that has temporarily slowed the bite. The previous three days of wind would not allow the lake to warm up much. Better days are ahead I think - and hope!!!

Water Temp: Low 60's Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: Read the report on the Live Pointers, had to try. Went to Clear Lake this morning, they slammed it. I think it is because it can be reeled like a swim bait or ripped, but they hit it. Threw a 128 in American Shad and a Hitch they seemed to want the tail action of the live pointer.
City: Sants RosaTips: Use the shad colors. Reel them slow to medium speed every and every once in a while stop and ripp it.

Water Temp: 55-58 Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Well, Spent M,T,W,T on Clear. 52 Bass in all.. 25 Mon, 10 Tues, 10 Weds, 7 on Thurs. As you can see, the cold front came in and slowed the action down. 40 Bass were caught on the 5" Black with red Senko. Caught one on a Blade on Thurs. The rest were caught on Watermelon Kinami and a Green with pepper 3x Zero and a Watermelon with Red flake Zoom Brush Hog. Fished shallow most of the time. Big Mama's were cruising the slough's but hadnt gotten onto beds yet. Biggest one I caught was a 4.5 Female. Mon's 5 best was just over 17lbs. All I can say is "WIND,WIND,WIND!!!" Another week or 2 should do the trick if the weather gets a little warmer during the day and stays out of the 30's at night.
City: Klamath FallsTips: I think the Senko bite is pretty good there right now if you really slow it down.. Dead stick it!! They seemed to like the Darker colors better. Bigger Bass were were on bigger baits.

Water Temp: ~55 Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: Fished Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Caught a nice 3 pounder on Thurs using a shad colored senko. Went out around 7AM on Friday and got skunked. We did manage to get a few bites, but no takers. On Saturday, we caught a bunch ranging from 1lb-5lbs using a chartreuse 3/8oz spinner, shad patterened flukes, green colored spooks with sparkles, and a smoke colored senkos. Fished again on Sunday and got a bunch of hits on a chartreuse spinner, but coudn't land one in the boat.
All fish were caught in the north end of the lake. We tried the south end, but didn't get anything.
City: HaywardTips: Not too many fish in the tules. Look for submerged islands. Fish slow.

City: BeniciaTips: Slowwwroll 1/2 oz blade, work sparse tule flats next to deeper water.

Water Temp: unknown Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: Fished the afternoon in the Rodman Slough area of the lake. Tons of carp rolling everywhere, but not a ton of bass!! Had a gorgeous day to fish - warm, almost no wind - but only managed to put three ~2 pound fish in the boat over a three 1/2 hour period, all on a 1/2 ounce chartreuse spinnerbait. Had a follow from a 10 plus pounder, but she wouldn't take the bait. Biggest bass I have ever seen inthe water!! Saw a nice bald eagle while I was out there. thanks to ross at Tackle It in Lakeport for the help.
City: San FranciscoTips: blades, seemed to work alright, although with the high skies a different bait might have been worth fishing harder. I threw a senko a little nad didn't get any takers. Didn't even try ripping, but I have heard that should work as well.

City: redwood cityTips: fish jigs and spinner baits in and around tullies and be quiet.they are real soooookie.

Water Temp: 47 Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: I guided two gentlemen on Friday - one relatively new to bass ishing. They wanted me to show them about winter ishing with artiicials. We basically stuck with jigs, drop shotting, and rip baits. We did very well, catching about 22 bass rom 10 inches to 3 pounds. The ellow that was learning caught the 3 pounder - his biggest largemouth to date. I have to tell you readers what happened to him later! We were down by Indian Beach and the wind started doing crazy things about 1 pm as the ront moved in. I could hear it howl over by Windlower Point and it was coming to us - west to east - weird! I told them to make a ew quick casts, then we had to go. He threw his ripbait near a dock but it went a long way and the line sailed over the dock. You know what happened! He hooks a big bass on the other side o the dock on his rip bait as he is trying to ree his line - I tried everything to help him in the now ierce wind and trying to save my 520 Ranger at the same time! He's still yelling that he has the ish. We did inally get his line over the dock where he could land it and the bass had the gall to spit out the ripbait! Those bass just show no respect sometimes!! My other client didn't have as good a day but he did also hook a big ish that swam to him and he just couldn't get a good hookset. They decided they didn't want to ight the weather anymore. I think we ished around 6 1/2 to 7 hours. I loved the act that it seemed like every time I looked around, the bass newcomer had his drop-shot rod bent - he was hot - and the weather was not!!
City: Yuba CityTips: We were using ghost pattern rip baits near weeds and in open water. It was interesting that the ripbaits were producing smaller bass overall. We did our best with drop-shot baits in shad color - Yamamoto Kut Tail worms and the rig I showed at the ISE shows - drop-shotting a 4 inch 031 Senko. I we let the Senko lutter to the bottom, they would hit it - just like a dying shad. Jigs seemed to produce bigger ish too. We had several rom 2 1/4 to 3 pounds.

Water Temp: 49-52 Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: Fished the North end or the irst time this year and did pretty well. Launched around 7:00 with lots o og and cold weather. However with only one ish 2lber rom a dock near lakeport, the og started to lit and the sun warmed the water. The increased temperature must have turned on the ish. Hit the points around the state park and tried the luck with the trusty swimbait. Got 4 total with the biggest about 8lbs. My dad caught a nice 6lber on a ripbait and a ew 3lbers on a spinnerbait in the tules. Overall not a bad day, nice to be back on the lake.
City: AlamoTips: Focus on either the outside tule line or the openings between the outside and inside. Fished the swimbait slow and around wood to get some good bites.

Water Temp: 48 Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: well, got up at the south end at 12 noon, headed over to a popular stretch o docks and ished speed traps the whole day, my dad and i caught 9 ok sized bass, biggest was 2.5 pounds, kinda pissed me o that i didnt get any o clear lakes known whoppers, oh well, another time. Tips: speed traps and crankbaits all the way, shad and red crawish, seen other ish on dropshotting, good luck, catch and release only

Water Temp: 44-46 Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: January can usually be a tough time catching bass especially when dealing with 30 degree temps in the morning and water only in the mid-40's. That's why I was so amazed that we were catching ish on crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Not just dinks, but 3-7 pounders. We ished on riday aternoon and caught 4 ish or over 10 lbs in only a couple o hours. Look or bass to be hanging around the outside edges o tulleys near the deeper edges. On Saturday's WON Bass tourney the bite slowed down, maybe because o the clear blue skys, but we managed 5 keepers or 24 pounds, with a 9.65 kicker (jig).
City: Rohnert ParkTips: Slow roll blades through the tulley or crank the edges. I you want to slow down try brush hogs and jigs in brown/black in the same areas. The ish are stacked up in some areas so when you ind one, there will be more.
