Report: It is hard to tell these days which is better - day or night ishing. I took a client Thursday, starting about 6:30 am. He is a good isherman and by 8:15 we had six in the boat, including his at 5-1 on a black/red DD-22 crankbait, and my skinny 7-2, caught on my new avorite bait (at least this week) - a brown/orange Weapon jig with a camo Mad Man craw trailer. This large bait is attracting some big bass or me lately at Amador and now at Clear Lake. I lost one around 7 also. They were really nailing that jig combo. We also used dead ringer worms and small brush hogs. I also landed a 6-10 at 1:30 in the aternoon on the jig pattern. We wound up with 10 bass in the boat, with our top 5 at 26 1/2 lbs. We ished up and down the Clearlake Oaks arm and and Konocti area, targeting mostly rocky areas. A very nice trip!! Ater he let, I took a short nap and went back out. I stopped at Shag Rock and managed to catch a 7-10 on the same jig setup. It was the only bite I got there. I ished a bit ater dark, landing a 5-2 and a 3-9 on a junebug Flippin' Tube, a new bait I am trying at night. I think it works! Saturday night I took three young, un guys out to see how many times they could get tangled (kiddin'!). We started with rogs south o Buckingham, and one o them does the unthinkable - catches a 3 pounder on the irst cast!! I told them that would ruin the trip - but it didn't. He was using a white snagproo rog. Though this was their irst time to rog ish, each o them got a blowup, but missed the others. We stuck with it until dark - to no avail. Ater dark we threw Power worms, dead ringers and brush hogs. Finally, one o the guys hooks a nice 4-1 on a black/red big brush hog. We ished several areas in Konocti Bay, Wheeler Point, and the east side, near Moniter Island. We wound up with 9 bass, the ive biggest right at 21 lbs. The ellow with the 4-1 got a 5 pounder on the same brush hog, and the ellow who had never really bass ished beore, hooked a large bass that broke o, and on the very next cast, threw into the same dock, and landed a 5-5. He was using the baby brush hog. So much or the big bait/big bass theory! I'm sure we would have had a much better night, but I was battling swirling winds most o the trip, making boat control very diicult with 4 people!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: There was a discussion on the orum recently about whether bass stay in the weeds at night. I am here to tell you they do - even in late summer!! This is the second night trip I have been ishing clients in weedy areas. Shaking a Power Worm or dead ringer worm through the weeds is creating vicious strikes. Fun, un!!!! Also, the notion that the guy in the ront o the boat had an advantage is bogus, in my opinion. When I occasionally ish three clients, most o the time the guy in the back has the best night. Even though the guy in the back on this trip had the least experience, he hooked the 2 largest bass o the trip, and I was ishing at the time. Don't ever be discouraged i you are a back-seater. I think that is an advantage, unless you are going down the bank in the spring, and the ront seater doesn't leave you anything to ish, or is moving too ast. But in open water ishing, the person in the back can really concentrate on what his bait is doing, and not have to battle the trolling motor, especially in the gentle breezes o Clear Lake!!

Report: Wow, I just read the previous post - sometimes the ish do win. I that guy was upset, think how the guide elt! I will agree that the ishing was very slow Saturday, and I elt something had happened to the weed mats - they disappeared in less that 24 hours. Mats that I got good rog ish Friday aternoon were gone on Saturday. I lost a big bass on a rog Saturday aternoon, and my clients lost our bass in the morning - one on a crankbait and three on worms. One was a real big ish, so big that it might have been a catish. It snagged and then broke the line in the rocks. One o the clients missed a ew on rogs too. So, we could have had a air trip as ar as catching is concerned, but we just couldn't put them in the boat. They learned a lot I think, and we had a great time. We did land a ew small ones. Friday aternoon and night were a dierent story - 11 bass in the new Ranger 520 with a 25 3/4 lb limit. We started o ishing docks north o Konocti - I tried my green Snagproo rog and clients wanted to ish Senkos and lukes. I got 4 blowups and landed 3 bass to 5 1/4 lbs. This was about 6 pm. We then moved across the lake to the east shore and clients started getting ish on Senkos, and I was surprised to nail a 5-2 on a jig. My man "Hookless Harry" (he'll love this!) lost a really big bass on a 6" #135 Senko right at dark. I didn't let him orget it or awhile!! He did land a 4-9 just beore that on the same bait, so I did cut him a little slack. At night, we worked hard or our remaining 5 bass that we caught. Just beore we quit, I decided to try a small rockpile south o Sea Breeze - about 1:15 am. Good choice, 'cuz Harry redeemed himsel in a big way, ending the trip with a wild 7 lb 9 oz bass that jumped 4 times. He was using the "moonlight special" - a 10" black/chartreuse Power Worm! Way to go, Harry!!!!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: I was experimenting with jigs, and did catch two. They should starting working better every week as we move into the all pattern. Power worms and Dead Ringer worms are working well or us day and night. The #135 Senko has been good this past week, especially evenings and at night. The day ishing is weird - good very early, and then gets better in the late aternoon and dusk.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Been ishing Clearlake every weekend or the past couple months preparing or tournaments. Fishing is tough, but there are good quality ish to be ound. Frog bite has been excellent on the North end o the lake, but is tailing o and the weeds are dying o rapidly. This is concentrating the ish and under the right conditions good rog bites are still possible. Frog ish have been averaging 4#, but you may only get a ew bites a day. Jigs in brown/purple have been productive under docks and in rocky areas. Have also been getting some crank bait ish on red craw and brown craw FF Shad and Normans DD-22/DLNs mostly on the South end o the lake.
    City: Brentwood

Tips: Be careul going into Rodman. Saw several boats get stuck on sand bar in ront o Island. Made it in by triming up and going in at 60MPH but still hit bottom and sanded my skeg and prop.

Report: This report is in response to the previous report. I am deinitely no expert on Clear Lake, but I do have some ideas that have worked or me that you can work with on your trip. First o all, weather is going to play a major actor in your trip. I it is still in the upper 80's to 90's you can still get on a decent topwater bite. Also, you should still be able to get on some rog ish as well. The nice thing about the rog ishing is that it gets better as the day goes on. I the weather has cooled o some, I would suggest trying to ind yoursel some decent size rock piles and either deep crank them or Carolina a brush hog or big dead ringer worm. All the pro's and locals that ish out there rely on the rockpiles at one time or another,it's just a matter o locating them. One other thing, late summer and early all starts a baitish migration, so don't orget to chuck your rattletraps and ripbaits around. My buddy I had a day in late Sept. last year where we put over 50 ish up to 7 pounds in the boat ripping a cove. The bass had corraled a ton o bait ish and were practically tearing the rod out o our mits on the hit. The 7 pounder we caught ripped the bait away rom a 2 pounder that we were ighting. This method should be productive i you have some cloud cover and a little wind. Good luck.

Report: Spent the holiday weekend up there. Did O.K. Started out about midnight on Friday, got a 3 1/2 with a 10" power worm o o Shag. No more night ish. First light, got a ew buzzbait ish to 2 lbs. Started trying or a rog bite, managed a ew, 2 ish to 4 lbs. out o about 8 blowups. Rested and charged the batteries a the state park or a ew hours, went back out or the evening/night. Got a ew more rog ish beore dark to 4 lbs. Ater dark I had nothing going. Came back in or some shuteye. Over slept and missed the irst light, so just took my time getting up. Went back to the roggin' Got a 5 1/2 and a 3 1/2 back to back. Went to next spot and got another 3 lber. Then it REALLY slowed down. Tried docks, nothing. Had boat problems sunday about 5:00, so trailered up and heading home early, but not a bad trip.

Tips: The rog bite ain't red hot, but stick with it and you'll get 'em.

Report: I was able to guide at Clear Lake in my brand new Ranger 520 yesterday. Though I am still breaking it in, this boat is everything everone has said it is!! My clients loved it too, 'cause it was catchin' bass!! We launched at the Red Bud zoo site at 4:30 in the aternoon. Somehow, we were able to launch in the crowd, and headed over to Indian Island to attempt to hide. I had the adult throwing a Senko, and his 14 year old riend o the amily and I were throwing Dead Ringers. My irst Clear Lake bass in my previous boat was an 11-2, but considering it was Labor Day weekend, I was happy with a 4-9, just a ew minutes ater we arrived. We were pitching to the shady pockets o weed clumps and scattered wood. We then moved to the wall across rom the ramp where we got several bites. The man landed a 2 1/2 on a #214 Senko and a smaller one. The boy missed one or two. I set up on a 3 1/2 and snapped my rod. Guess I don't know my own power, HAR!! We ished Wheeler Point with no success, and inished last light in Konocti Bay, where the adult was all smiles as he landed a 4 pounder and a small one on my summer avorite Senko - #240. Ater dark, we worked our way down the east shore o the south end. catching 9 more, mostly in shallow weeds i you can believe that!! I caught my irst ever night Senko bass - 3 o them up to 5-2 on the 6" #135. That color is a killer in the bright moonlit nights. They hit the Senko harder than a worm. The black/chartreuse 10" Power Worm and the junebug Dead Ringer were the best producers overall. The young man really lost a big bass in a heavy weed mat - that was a shame!!! My heart breaks when a young person loses a big bass. The wind protected areas with weeds were the main areas we ound willing bass. We wound up with 15 in the boat, 8 o them over 4 pounds. As I mentioned, I had one a little over 5, and the gentleman had one just under 5 - I think he caught 7 or 8 total. Our 5 best weighed about 24 1/4 lbs. This was a un trip or me, besides the great company and the new boat, because I was guiding areas that I don't oten ish, and was not targeting the usual rocky areas I like. I really was surprised how shallow the bass were, in spite o the warm water temp. I the deep bass were biting too, I wouldn't have known, since we really didn't try or them much. I did get one 4 1/2 on a jig.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: Senkos were very eective in thick weedy areas, day and night. I was told that there was a good buzz bait bite at the south end during the day on Sat, but it wasn't happening on Sunday aternoon. With watercrat all over the place, conditions change quickly. I you don't want to ish a Senko at night, try a #135 Yamamoto 5 or 6 inch single tail grub in the moonlight - believe me, they work!!!

Report: Fished Lucerne area today. Threw the rog rom noon til about 3:30. Had a @#%$^^load o blowups, but no takers. It was like they were playing with a beach ball out there. Just blasting the rog around. Got action on white and black. Threw a buzzbait and hooked a nice ish around 4or5lbs. Hammered it on the edge o the mat. Other than that I don't know what else to tell ya. Is it me or can somebody tell me they had the same problem. The ish are there and there is some monsters under those mats. All ish were on the deeeper side o the mats or the weedline. Something tells me that I wasn't making the right presentaion in regards to which way the sun was and how they were acing under the mat. It seemed like they knew something was above them, but they couldn't see very well. I don't know much about rogging, but maybe another color would have been good. I don't know. Chartreuse might have been good with the stain o the water. I'm open to suggestions. I ound the ish, I just did a lousy job o not putting any in the boat. Maybe not enough deadsticking? Come on somebody, speak up. Or were they simply not taking. Thank you.
    City: Petaluma

Tips: Don't look here or any. Don't know what to tell ya. Drink lots o water and get the suncreen and hat on. Extremely hot out. You really need to be in good shape to do this and load up on the water. These ish will kick your ass out there and humble you very ast.

Report: It is hard to believe that out o all the olks ishing Saturday night - and there were a lot! - no posts have appeared. I guess none o them have computers! I think I saw ive boats near Frazier Point alone - some day (or night) that area is going to run out o ish! Does anybody ever put any back there ater tournaments? Just a thought. Anyway, I guided a couple o wonderul clients in their Ranger R-93 - great boat! We started near Rattlesnake Island about 6:30 pm, and missed the irst 4 ish. Three hits on crankbaits and one on a jig - we never could hook them - they might have been small bass. We tried areas near Buckingham Point - nothing. The wind eased up a bit, so we headed or Henderson - I like to ish that area beore dark. Good decision - we caught 3 beore dark and one ater - biggest near 5 lbs. What did we catch them on you ask - the tried and true 10" Power Worm! We then worked Shag, Dollar, etc. - again, nothing. The wind allowed us to try the Wheeler Point area. We put two more in the boat, and lost one. We inished up on some rocky area, catching two more. and missing a ew. One o the clients broke o 17 lb test on a good ish. Since it was his rod, I'm not sure what kind o line he was using. That is always disappointing! We needed a big bass!! The average size o our eight bass was only about 3 1/2 lbs. Not a real exciting night ish-wise, but, as always, we had a great time!!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: The ish were agressive just beore dark, and again about 1:30 in the morning. The bass were taking the worm on a breakline - any type o rock lat with a quick drop. We were working the worm just as slow as we could without hanging up. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits might have worked well, but we didn't use them much. I do think there was a way to catch bigger bass that night, but we didn't igure it out. Some nights, the big bass just arn't active, and you have to be content with the smaller ones.

Report: Fished Fri. the 17th. Started in Rattle Snake Arm in AM then hit Soda Bay & inished o the day in Konocti. Small ish until last hour o light in Konocti. I hooked a 4+ on a split shot 4" watermelon with red lake curly tail worm a ew eet o o a rock point near a pump house then a 100' urther into the cove on a hard bottom lat abou 20' o the bank my wie hooks & lands a 6+ on a renegade 4" motoroil twirly tail worm. Today was her birthday & she celebrated by boating her biggest ish to date. A ew casts later in the same area she hooked a 7+ but it spit the hook.
    City: Dehi

Tips: Their in the process o weed kill in the Lakeport area so the better ishing is in the mid to lower end. Better bite is early morning or late evening. Try to ind deeper rock piles or deeper hardbottom lats.

Report: Been ishing all week and have had lots o success. Caught lotsa o ish on senkos. Pitching them in the shade under docks has been the most productive way. Also gotten some ish early on buzzbaits and other topwater. Fished lots o smaller mats and have gotten lots o rog ish. I ind the weed/tule combination is the best. Most o my ishing has been done early morning at around 6 and then o the water by 11 or so. I the wind starts to pick up I have been having luck on a slow rolled spinnerbait.Average about 8 ish a day. Big ish or the week goes at 7# and about 6 more at about 5+#.
    City: Alamo

Tips: Find the deeper docks as the day progresses. Find that most o the bass are hugging close to the shade and near the docks.

Report: This is just a quick report on the much improved ishing at Clear Lake. I guided a good isherman in his 519 Ranger Thurs morning, starting at 5 am. I was so excited about the irst couple o casts - expecting a toad, since a ew have been showing up. My client landed the irst two right away - a stunning 2 lbs each. So much or my excitement! But we kept getting bit and the bass worked their way up to 4 1/2 lbs. We were using junebug Dead Ringers and black 10" Power Worms. Ater a slight lull, and ater the sun came up, I thought it might be over. Then an amazing thing happened!! We tried a new rockpile, and ater I made a way-too-long cast, I got hammered on the Power Worm and nearly ell out o the boat setting the hook, but I got her - a little over 5 lbs. For an hour we caught several quality bass in the 4 1/2 to nearly 6 lb range, ishing several areas in the Rattlesnake arm. These quality ish decided to eed at 7 am, kind o weird or August. The bite lasted about an hour and all those big ish were taking 10" black Power Worms. So, in three hours we had 11 in the boat (we missed about 6 or 7) - the ive biggest at 25 1/4 lbs. That is more like the Clear Lake I know. We then did some cranking around Rattlesnake Island to see i that was working. Client lost a nice one on red/black, and I landed a 3 1/2 on chartreuse/blue. Ater breakast at Konocti Resort, we looked over some other good spots, ishing a little. We threw some rogs, but only had one blowup - on my green Snagproo rog - near Horseshoe Bay. It was a good one too - 6+. She totally missed the rog! We rogged some in the north end, but it just didn't happen or us. Still, a great day at Clear Lake.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: Obviously, the large worm bite has really materialized in a big way - day and night! Folks sometimes orget (including mysel) that black worms are very eective sometimes in the daytime too. That was deinately the color they wanted. This day they wouldn't touch a jig or us. Crank bite is also improving. Good luck!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Every trip I make with clients is new, exciting, and most o the time, a lot o un (and work!) Last night't trip was no exception! Two un guys, not too much wind, and LOTS o bites. About twenty-seven bites among us - a great improvement over the past month or so. My job is to put them on ish, and their job is to get them in the boat. When they started missing ish ater ish, I began joking with them as to what I would write on this post, and o couse, it got crazier as the night went on. I threatened to reveal their names, blackmail them, make them swim back, etc.!! Actually the whole evening was a hoot - one o the clients nearly lost all my sinkers and hooks in the rocks, and was 0 or 10 in the landing bass event - every guides dream! He was thrilled to get so many bites, and didn't seem to mind that he was losing them all. Ater about our or ive o these bass got o, we reviewed hooking setting, and I did tell him that it really was FUN to land one!!! But, he lost all the rest. So much or my teaching ability, Har!! The other ella lost the biggest o the evening, about 5+ at Sea Breeze. He struggled too, but did manage to put our, I think, in the boat. Actually, in their deense, the bite was kind o weird, I missed one or two jig bites that I shouldn't have. We wound up with 11 in the boat, out o 27 bites. Our averabe size wasn't much to call home about - about 3 1/2 lbs. My cookie cutter shrunk! The ellow that lost the 5 did get the biggest at 4-9. The other strange thing about the trip was that we would only get one bite on nearly every place we stopped. So, eventually we would pull up on a spot, get a bite or land a ish, and then say: "Time to move!". I will have to say that this was one o the most enjoyable nights, considering all the lost ish, that I have had in a long time. I had a great time, and I know the guys did too!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: It still amazes me how dierent ishing conditions are during each trip. O the past three trips - the irst saw ew bites, but ish up to 6 lbs with one monster lost. The next trip had more ish but just a 4 lb average. Last night was ull o eeding activity - the most or me this summer, but even smaller ish - not a big one was even hooked. It is like they vanished. Last night there was a clear winner in the "best bait" department. The winner by ar was the 10" Berkley Power Worm in black/chartreuse - which they don't even make anymore. I think I have 150 let, and when they're gone, I cry! On a summer bright moon night - they are just tough to beat. We ished about 20 rockpiles and ledges during the trip - all but two provided at least one bite.

Report: Well, maybe some good news! I took a long-time client out yesterday or some beore dark ishing and night ishing. Finally - some decent numbers - 14 in the boat with the ive biggest at 20 1/4 lbs. I lost two reasonably big ish - bent hook-tip on my Weapon jig. I hate it when I'm lazy and don't check those kind o things. I usually always pay the price!! I talk to Bob Higgins at Limit Out Tackle about the trip as I let this morning, and he agreed that ishing might be picking up a bit, and that most o the ish are about the same size - maybe up to 6 lbs. People talk about the Shasta "cookie cutter" ish all being about the same size. Well, Clear Lake has the same "problem" - Har! Except this "cutter" is about 4 lbs. All but ive o our bass were 3 3/4 lbs to 4 1/2 lbs - nice problem!!! Three were bigger and two were smaller. I caught the irst bass about 8:30 pm on a Rodstrainer jig and it was the biggest o the trip at 4-15. My client caught the next - 4 lbs - on a green craw 8" worm, and we were eelin' good at dinner!! We started the trip by throwing rogs, buzzbaits, and other topwater in several areas north and south o Konocti Resort. Nothing. So, as it got dark, we went to worms and jigs and that seemed to be the answer. These bass were 15 to 20 eet deep and were aggressive - a new concept at Clear Lake recently! Ater dinner, the Clear Lake I know and sometimes love, tried to put on her best night ace. We caught ish in several avorite rocky areas without weeds. The Weapon jig (black/chartreuse) with 6" Yamamoto grub trailer was producing the best quality bass and the most aggressive bites, including the two I lost. The junebug 8" Dead Ringer and 10" black Power worms continue to work well We caught 2 on crankbaits and one on a black Terminator spinnerbait. The best bite was 2 to 4:30 am. The previous trip (see post) was dead at that time. The moral o the story - don't ever sleep - just keep throwin' that bait!!!!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: Whatever bait you choose to use in rocky areas - remember to "swim" these lures so they "tick" the rocks. Deadsticking jigs and worms on some rockpiles is only or the rich and amous, with emphasis on the rich! Learning to do this well with a spinnerbait (one o my goals or the past two years) is absolutely deadly in late summer and all.

Report: Hello - is anybody ishing Clear Lake these days? I guess no one wants to say how great the ishing is this summer - just kidding! I hope some o you are doing well, because the rest o us are working harder than normal or any decent ish recently. I did hear that someone got a 10-1 yesterday on a 10" Power worm, during the day. That is the great thing about Clear Lake - every day, someone does something right! I did give it a try again Monday night with a ather-daughter team. We were going to start about 6:30 pm, but they got delayed, and we wern't able to start 'til ater dark and ished about 4 1/2 hours. We ished the Rattlesnake arm and had about 7 bites, using 7 and 10 inch Power worms, and junebug Dead Ringer worms. Dad and I were teaching the daughter how to cast and work a worm. When he did start to ish or himsel, he soon hooked a heavy ish which eventually broke his 17 lb test. The ish hit ater he was shaking the worm o a rock snag, which might have caused the line to break. I it wasn't a catish, he lost one to talk about or a long time. That happened to me last year and luckly the line didn't bread - it turned out to be 9-1! He just wanted to catch one nice bass, and the last place we stopped, on one o the tips o Rattlesnake Island, he did manage to land a nice 4 pounder on a Dead Ringer. He was happy and so was I. They let, and I went back out by mysel about 3 am and ished some rocky areas and couldn't get bit! Perect temp, dead calm lake, no one in the boat to tie on baits or, and the ish go to sleep. Some people have all the luck!!! I went back to my Yukon and dozed or an hour and went back out at irst light, about 5 am. What a dierence - irst cast with a black 10" Power worm - a bass just under 6 lbs nails it. Ater releasing her, nothing or 5 minutes. Then I threw a Weapon jig on a rockpile - something stupid I like to do - just to see i I get back without snagging! Thunk! - didn't have to worry about it this time - a 5 1/4 pounder ate it. And that was the extent o my leeting luck. I missed my next three bites, and that was it. They shut o even beore the sun hit the water. Another ellow was throwing topwater near me, and he said that he had two roll on his lure, but missed them both. It seemed to me that topwater would be awesome on this warm morning, but I couldn't get anything either. Ater I gave up on the worms and jigs, I threw spinnerbaits and crankbaits over rockpiles and ledges or 40 minutes without a strike. Then I made the best decision o the trip - I took my tired body home!! This was not the Clear Lake I know and love. But still, some nice bass were landed.

Tips: This has been an interesting summer - some o the other lakes I guide on at night have been red hot this summer, and Clear Lake has not! I can't speak about the north end since I havn't been up there yet this summer. The bass are starting to migrate to o-shore structure, which gets me very excited. I am thinking that all the weed spraying is moving bait and bass around more than normal. I have seen sick-looking tules all over - rom the chemicals. The night bite has to get better in August - it always does. I'll be there!!!!

Report: Actually we were ishing at Hidden Valley Lake, about 14 miles south o Clear Lake. On July 5, at 8:45am my eleven year old son caught a 3lbs. Bass with a Mistic Shad-R, using a $20.00, 4 t trout pole, while he was standing on a dock. There were alot o people atempting to ish on the 4th o July, using bass boats, trolling motors etc. but met with negative results. On the day my son caught his ish, it was the only day we had to seriously ish. The weahter was to hot to stay out past 9:00am and I'm glad he landed his bass beore then. I have to give credit o my sons catch to a personal riend o mine, Pro Bass Fisherman, Gene Iovino. With out his help and tips or catching Bass during hot weather, we would have caught nothing but a sun burn.

Report: As they say: "What a dierence a day makes!" I took two ellows out or a late aternoon-night trip on Wed. The clouds rom the outgoing weather ront were still around, and the bass were biting airly well. I wasn't sure what to expect rom this strange June storm. We had about 18 hookups and landed 10 - the 5 best at about 23 1/4 lbs. The client who caught a 6-7 - his best Clear Lake bass ever - lost another big ish. He was using a junebug Zoom Dead Ringer worm, a very good night worm. I caught a 5 1/2 on a 10" Power Worm. All the rest o the ish were rom 2 1/4 to 4 lbs. We caught three beore dark, one on a jig on an oshore rockpile. The other client got a nice 3 3/4 pounder using a Senko on another oshore rockpile. It seems that bass in the south end are moving o the bank in many areas. I love it - structure time!! We tried topwater with no luck. Thursday, I ished with two other clients during the same hours, but the bass' attitude was anything but the same! The ront had totally passed through, and the bass totally shut o. It was really kind o amazing. A boat was loading up on catish to 15 1/2 lbs on Wed. - Thurs they didn't have a single ish! Carp were rolling all over on Wed and we probably heard no more than 5 on Thurs. We only caught 2 bass and maybe missed 5 or 6. The wind was back! Wed was dead calm. About 8:30 pm, I gave one o them a new worm to try - a hogsbreath amber green craw in 8" size, and he caught a 3 pounder on the irst cast. That was the highlight o the trip!! I got a 3 1/2 on a Power Worm, and that was it! Dead as dead can be. It always bothers me when clients ish well, but have nothing much to show or it. Sometimes the bass win!

Tips: Night ishing so ar has been spotty - nothing great yet. The worm bite is best it seems. Have only caught one on a spinnerbait, and very ew on jigs. Rock walls and dropos have been good areas to ish.
