Report: Hit the lake again today hoping my riend would show up with his boat. Never happened! Ended up ishing the Channel Pt. dock rom about 12:30 - 5:15 this aternoon. Threw blades, jig-n-pig, darterhead, split-shot, spoon, and lipped a crawdad. I caught one ish somewhere between 1:30 and 2:30. It was a 14" and I caught it throwin' a 5" straight-tail purple weenie colored worm on a split-shot rig. Was throwin' it out to deep water (about 15t), then I would drag it. Ater that I lost another 5+ lippin' that same jig-n-pig as I did two days ago and lost that other big ish. This time the hook just popped out as I was wrestlin' him out o the tules. That was all the action all day.
City: AntiochTips: Ya, I'm pretty sure you could get quite a ew ish i you just backed o the points into 15-30t o water and threw a splitshot rig or darterhead. I was throwin' that splitshot rig towards the point into about 15t o water.

Report: Well, was there rom 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. It was insane. Was hopin' or my riend to show up around noon so we could go out and splitshot some ish out deeper. He never came! So I ended up ishing the Channel Point dock the whole day. Stopped at the boat ramp around noon, but it was loaded with a bunch o kids ridin' around on bikes and no where to ish so went back to Channel Pt. dock. I threw just about anything you could imagine. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, sot plastics (rigged in every which way!), ripbaits, etc...until I inally decided to just lip the tules around that dock with a jig-n-pig or the rest o the day! I made that decision around 2:30, and I threw the exact same jigs into the same holes in the reeds about 5 times beore I ever got hit around 4:25. I was just watchin' the line loating on top o the water as it sank, and I noticed hte line twitch and I set that hook!! Rod immediatly bent straight over and my drag slipped. Gave that bass just that extra second to dive way back into those reeds. Messed around with it or a good ive minutes beore he got me wrapped up too bad and broke it o. I know it was a 5+. I had my drag a little loser on that reel back at Thanksgiving down in AZ when I was ishin' open water, and I just never messed with it since. I was usin' a 3/8oz black/blue rattlin' jig w/ a black w/ blue lake Zoom Super Chunk trailer. That's all that happened...
City: AntiochTips: Well, i you want numbers, I would suggest back way o the points and throwin' a darterhead or splitshot/dropshot. Get that inesse ishin' goin'. However, i you're lookin' or the biggun', lip the tules with a big jig-n-pig.

Report: Well, got out in the loat tube today. Got out there around 7:10. Started out throwing a buzzbait around the weededges by the boat ramp. Only used it or no more than 10 min without a thing, so then I started using Senkos. Was ishing east o the boat ramp against the reeds in that little cove. Caught a 2# around 7:30, and then a little 11" about 30t down rom the 2#. Fished the rest o those reeds with the Senko until I got to the east bank where it's just total weeds right up next to the reeds all the way along the east shoreline. Threw the rog on the WHOLE thing. Nothing even looked at it. I haven't been gettin' ANYTHING on the rog lately. I don't know you caught that 6# on the rog, Rhino. Lucky bum!! Anyway, ished the rog all the way back to the dam. Then I cranked the whole dam along the weed line. Nothing! Again, Rhino! You lunky bum! haha. Then once I reached the other side o the dam I started lipping the tules with a yammamoto crawdad. Picked up a 2.5# then I realized, ya know, loat tube is ridin' a little low in the water. haha. So I had to go into shore WAY back there by the dam. About as ar away rom the boat ramp as you can get. Ugh. SO I had to walk it all the way back around. On my way back I ished the Channel Point dock. I lipped the tules with the yammie crawdad again. First lip was about 3t away rom the dock way back into the tules, as soon as it hit the water it seemed like, ish banged it REAL hard twice and I missed it! Hook and weight came lyin' back at me with no crawdad. I also cranked, bladed, and senkoed (I guess ya'd call it...haha) rom the Channel Point dock without a thing. That's it!
Tips: I'm goin' back tomorrow morning and doin' the one thing I KNOW I can always catch bass doin' here. Flip those tules!! You can lip just about anything back in there it seems like and they'll eat it. Also, throw those Senkos in the shade! Can't go wrong there either!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well, I ish Contra Lome like everyday, but I obviously don't always send in a report. haha. I didn't want Contra Loma to be totally illed with reports by me. LoL. But I'm kinda bored, so I igured I'd send one in today and let ya know how today went. Got out there around 7:00. Today I just stayed shore-bound. And the bite is always a little tougher rom shore as most o you know, but I still managed to get a limit. Started the day o at the boat ramp area by lippin' and pitchin' a 1/2oz t-rigged 4" black PowerWorm. Was bringin' it along the edge o the weeds on the boat ramp and elt that little tick and set that hook. Pulled in a 13" LM Bass. That's all I got o the power work. So then I switched over and started lippin' a 1/16oz t-rigged 3" elctrc blu w/ lrg blu lk (164) twintail yammamoto grub! (Now how's that or details??) I was ishin' on the dock there at the boat ramp and was bringin' it on the outside edge o the dock right along side o some weeds. Yoink! Caught a 12" LM Bass. That's all I caught o that. Then I decided to try out a 5" wtrmln w/ lrg blk lk Senko. Rigged it regular (not wacky). Didn't get one hit o it. Then I decided to start lippin' a 1/8oz t-rigged 4" plum w/ sml emerald lk (231) twintail yammamoto grub. Fished rom shore (southeast I guess o the ramp) and cast right along side o the big wee mat that's there right up next to the reeds. First cast, it hits the water and I'm waiting or it to sink. Line gets a little tighter than it should while it's sinking and I set the hook. Another 13" LM Bass. I'm slowly castin' it and workin' back towards the ramp. There's a small clump o reeds along the shore. I looks around in there and I see one just sittin' right there in the reeds about 3t rom shore. I lip the grub in there, and yoink! It's a 13 1/2" LM Bass. (I had to put in that 1/2"...haha) Ater that I didn't get anything lippin' that grub around. So I decide to head it on over to the Channel Pt. dock. I pack it up and walk on over there. I start out lippin' a t-rigged 1/8oz 6" nightcrawler colored Creme worm. Nothing. So then I decided to start lippin' a 3/16oz 4" chart w/ lrg blu lk tube. I made a pitch right up next to the tules where it was like 6-7t deep. I'm lettin' it sink with the line pretty slack. I reel in the slack and see my line movin' way o to the let. Yoink! Set it, and pulled in another 13" LM Bass. Didn't get anything else on the tube ater that. Then last but not least I started throwin' the Senko around again. Nothin'! So I ended up with like a 7# limit. haha. Pretty weak, but not bad considering it was all rom shore eh? d:o)Sturgeon Kid-----
Tips: Heck, I seem to be catching ish there on just about anything right now. Frog bite has really slacked o though or me. Past two times I've used it no blow-ups at all. I was talkin' to some other guys there lately and tubes seem to be the trick right now. I dunno though, caught 3/5 limit pitchin' those yammie grubs. You decide!

Report: Went to the 2nd Dock o o Channel Pt. with my riends CHuck and Big Dan today. Mostly went over there to check out how the catish bite was going. Tried Anchovies, Sardine, and even Turkey-Bacon or catish! Didn't get one hit rom catish. However, I did catch a 16" Rainbow Trout o o Sardines!! I caught more trout than most o the trout isherman did, and I wasn't even going or 'em! Talked to a ew guys that were trout ishing and no one had caught anything. Later beore we let there was some kids just like screwin' around there on the dock and somehow caught a trout. About 12". While I had one line out or Catish, I was ishin' or largemouths with another line. Around 10:00 I picked up a 1.25# LM Bass o a t-rigged 10" chartreuse Power Eel. Then later I picked up another one on the other side o the dock with the same thing. This one was a little bigger. It went about 1.75#. So ya...don't bother or catish or a little while. It was VERY SLOW today. We were there like all day. Good luck...
City: AntiochTips: Well, I was just ishin' rom that one dock and picked up two nice ones with that Power Eel. Seems to be workin'...

Report: Went to Contra L on Sunday. Got there about 7 Fished till about 6. First ish came on a 6" black worn with apink tail against the tules. It was about a 7.5# rainbow. Circled the lake throwin everything with no luck untill about 1:30 when we started lipin jigs into tules. Second pitch hit a 4# hog. Then partner hit a 2.5#. Then ended day with a 5# and partner hit 3#. Bite was airly slow but weight was good. Alot o big trout also pulled out yesterday by other isherman.
City: ConcordTips: Flip or pitch blk/blue jigs into tules. Be patient. Bite was slow but weight was there.

Water Temp: Mid 50s??
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went ishin' with Ceasar earlier in the day beore he had to go to work out around Big Break. Not a single bite. Even went over into the PG&E power plant. Nothin'. Pretty lame. So I igured I'd just stop by my home lake, Contra Loma, and peg a ew. I wanted to go to the second dock o Channel Pt., but it was totally crowded, so I just went to the boat ramp. I split shotted a chartruese Glass Shad at the thick weed edges. Got nothin'. So I switched over to a spinnerbait. Tried out a ew spinners. Still nothin'. Ater an hour o nothin' on the shallow lats by the boat ramp I igured, bag this. There's not gonna be any ish up this shallow right now. I could care less how many people are at that second dock right now. I there's people there they're gonna be castin' towards the middle o the lake or trout anyway. So I run over to the second dock. Perect. They all let. I pull out that split shot rigged glass shad again and work that along the edge o the real think weedbed on the one side o the dock. Nothin' there. So then I try the other side. I cast it next to the reeds and slowly shake it down the steep drop o that's there. When it hits about 7-8 eet. Wham! Bass just inhales it. I pull up a three pounder. I toss that around some more to no avail. Then I go with the spinnerbait again to see i they wanna hit that at all. Didn't happen. Then I go with my next guess. A dark/light purple 7" carolina rigged worm ished really slow. Ater I ish that or a couple o minuted some guys start to show up on the dock goin' or trout. They ask me what I caught and I said, "Well, I've only been at this dock or about 20 minutes, but I caught a three pound bass about 10 minutes ago." Then I here one whisper to the other behind my back, "Ya right..." and they both give a little chuckle. I hate it when people think that just cause I'm a kid I don't know what I'm doin'. But anyway...I just go on like I didn't hear anything and start talkin' to em or a bit while I ish the c-rigged worm. On the let side o the dock there's a bunch o reeds and a small opening in the back corner with a nice little pocket. I toss the worm just to the let-side o the little opening and right ater I cast I turn around and start talkin' to the two guys while I still got the reel still on ree-spool. Whenever I'd turn around they'd always make some joke about me behind my back. Then ater I talk to em or about 30 seconds I turn back around and there's line still comin' o my reel like it hasn't even hit the bottom yet. I though...that can't be right...it's only 3 eet deep there. So I hurry up and swing. Wham. I nail a 3.5# largemouth. I swing it up on the dock, and I show the guys. I had em take a picture or me and stu. Ater that they just shut-up. :-) Ater that I only ished or about 15 more minutes beore I had to go...
City: AntiochTips: This time o the year with all these warm and cold ronts movin' through all the time the bass are gonna be holdin' around some drop-os where they've got easy access to shallow water when it wamrs up and have easy access back to deeper water when it cools o again.

Report: Just got to ish or about two hours rom the 2nd dock. Went with my riend Big Dan. He went or trout with powerbait. Caught a 13 incher. Then I had one pole out or trout or catish with inlated night crawler, and jigged a 1/8 oz spoon under the dock while I had the other pole out. Hooked into a three pound largemouth on the spoon. It swam under my line with the nightcrawler, and I went to get the pole under and on the otherside o the nightcrawler pole. Fish just got the littlest bit o slack, and spit it out. Other than that, no other bites or other ish.

Report: Just let the meat fisherman do their thing. I like how everyone is talking and fussing over ONE big fish, when that little Bing douchebag takes 10 fish a day. He fishes in the morning for a limit, then comes back in the evening for a limit. He's taken home several big fish, and way more smaller 2-4lb fish. Idiots will be idiots, there's nothing you can do about it. Most of the big fish are gone from this lake.
That "13lbers" isn't even fucking 13, their scale is a JOKE. That asshole was there at Loma yesterday and took another fish home around 6.
If you want big bass from this lake, TROLL A CRANKBAIT, it's what most of the bigger fish are being caught on by these meat fisherman. Go eat all the bass you can, and die of mercury, PLEASE.Tips: Don't bother trying to educate these ignorant fucking people. There is no point. Half dont' speak english, and the other half just think they're hot shit and could care less what you say.
Please. If you see someone with a fish over 10 , just take it out of their hands and release it. Simple enough. -

Report: Hey hg....the guy you are refering to is "Mitch". He actually drives a small green pick up. The guy with the brown suv I know pretty well. He is a good guy and I have personally witnessed him release many very large bass. I agree that ALL bass should be released. I too strictly bass fish and fish this lake 3 days a week or more. It is very disheartening to watch people take these very large fish home. I have encouraged everyone I know up there to release these bass...some don't listen. But I did confront the guy you described today when I was up there...and he said it wasn't him. There is even a picture of this asshole Mitch holding his big bass at the kiosk. You will know Mitch as he is the guy that will troll right over all of the bank fishermen's lines. The guy with the brown suv (I don't want to give his name)is NOT the one I believe you are speaking about....Happy fishing.
